2. What is the issue at hand?
• Students are being blocked from learning tools due to Internet filtering.
• This prohibits access to many free web-based learning and teaching tools.
• Recently, we learned that Padlet is a Web 2.0 site that has been blocked.
• This is unfortunate because this is an amazingly simple and effective way for
teachers and students to create, collaborate, and demonstrate.

3. What is Padlet?
“Padlet is a virtual wall that allows people to express their thoughts
on a common topic easily. It works like an online sheet of paper
where people can put any content (e.g. images, videos, documents,
text) anywhere on the page, together with anyone, from any device.”
