The document discusses costume planning for characters in a Christmas-themed comedy trailer for young children. Hannah and Leanne's characters will dress as a Christmas tree and present, respectively, in some scenes. Their other costumes will be simple outfits. Nimisha will dress as an elf and have other costumes. Rosie's less important role requires dressing as a Christmas cracker. The characters will have multiple costume changes.

Costume and Location planning
1. Costume Planning
Our intentions for Hannah include her dressing up as a
Christmas tree for a remainder of the trailer.
In other scenes, she will be required to wear a suitable
costume that would fit her character. This would include a
simple outfit such as jeans and a t-shirt.
Leanne’s character, like Hannah, will require her to dress up
as a Christmas present for a duration for the trailer. As our
audience will be young children and the genre is comedy,
we felt these costumes would be most suited.
In other scenes she will also be required to wear
smart/casual attire.
By Leanne Brown
Nimisha’s costume will again be similar to the other
characters. She will dress up as a Christmas elf for the
beginning clips and a few others.
Again, for other scenes she will be required to wear a
costume that suits the role she is playing. There will be
multiple costume changes for each character.
Rosie’s costume will be the less important one as she
isn't part of our group but we have to be seen to dress
her appropriately if she is involved, due to this
circumstance, she will be dressing us a Christmas
cracker.
Similarly, she will be required to have other ‘normal’
clothes for other characters.
2. Location planning
Due to requirements from the exam
board, we are denied from using school
grounds as part of our trailer. This is
because they like us to try different
environments and see what is better
suited. It would also look better on the
groups behalf if we made the effort to
film in other destinations.
Given the circumstances, we would
like to film in a church as we would
like to access their facilities. The
stage of a church would be useful as
part of the plot. Using a church
stage would also relate to the theme
of Christmas.
We would like a location
that includes being
outdoors for some of the
trailer. For this it is more
than likely that we will film
in a local field or park.
The difficulties that may arise
from being unable to film in a
school means we wont be
able to full-fill the plot we
wanted to do. Part of the
trailer we wanted to act out,
would have involved
classrooms and stages. This
will be able to find a suited
environment but we will find
somewhere.
A general location
that would be ideal
is a small office that
could look like a
staffroom.
Alternatively, an
office that could be
transformed into
looking like a
classroom. Our main
priority is to ensure
that the location is
fitting to both the
genre and age group
of our audience.
