Personal Characteristics Essay
1. Personal Character Characteristics
What separates a person that goes far in life from one who does not? More specifically, what is
the character trait that makes the difference? The simple answer to that is motivation. I chose
motivation because I think it is something that I show. Motivation is a good word to describe me
because I am motivated in several aspects of life such as: school, extracurricular activities and
community involvement. My personal definition of motivation is, the force that makes someone
want to go above and beyond what is asked of them. To begin with, one of the areas in which I
show motivation in is in my education. People who are motivated typically do well in school.
They get their work done and make high grades. I show this by doing well in school. I make all
A's and do my homework on time, and I also take part in school events and try to go above and
beyond when it comes to the quality of my work. Another aspect of education includes college.
College is even more important than high school because it defines where most people will likely
go in life. High School students who try to get an advantage on others by taking dual credit
courses usually show that they possess the motivation to do well in college. This applies to me
because I take dual credit courses such as Senior English and Honors Calculus. When it comes to
applying for scholarships and colleges, one must be motivated. It proves that I am motivated
because I have applied for several scholarships and I have applied to

2. Human Personality Essay
A quote that I live by is, "People don't always behave the way you want them to, but it doesn't mean
the way they behave is wrong." This says to me that I cannot change anyone because I do not
understand or like the way someone does something. Trying to do this is trying to change one's
human personality. Human personality is what makes a person distinctive, unique, and exceptional.
Every person has a different personality and some personalities mesh better than others. Human
personality should always be praised and no one should ever put anyone down for having a
different personality. It is truly just allowing people to be who they are unless they are in violation
of other human's rights. Just as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said, "Any...show more content...
Examples of laws like this would be: wearing a seat belt, the possession of guns, the right to
abortion, and the ability to buy alcohol on Sundays. These types of laws are there because
someone else says that it is wrong to do these things. Trying to prevent supposedly wrong things
from happening seems like good intent but is actually unjust. An example of this is seat belt laws
that try to prevent anyone from getting seriously hurt in the event of a car accident. But if the
driver or their passengers do not want to buckle up why should the law force them. It may seem
strange for some people to not want to wear their seat belt but it is just because they have a
different personality. The only just laws are the ones that punish those that actually degrade
someone's human personality. Rape, murder, robbery, and fraud are all examples of this. When
someone rapes another they are taking away their free will to do whatever they choose. And those
who commit that crime should be punished. But to create laws to prevent rapes from occurring is
unjust. These types of laws assume that people will do wrong and that their human personality is
wrong. People have the right to do whatever they please whether it is moral or not and they deserve
the consequences of their actions. In conclusion, human personality is the essential character of a
human being. It is not clear what uplifts and what degrades human personality because it is human

My mother is very helpful to me. She is the person I go to for understanding, assistance and guidance.

My mother is very intelligent, understanding and patient. She does not judge what I say and gives

and empathic, but can also be assertive when something is not right. I trust that my mother always

4. Characteristics Of Myself Essay
We, as human beings, have many characteristics and traits that we view of our self positively;
however, some traits do change due to our insecurity of other individual judgments which may lead
to the outcome of others viewing us differently. This report will briefly explain the way I see myself
portray to the society and how other majority individuals see the individual I truly am.
The qualities I consider that I do not have for my personality is I am not creative, confident,
compulsive, curious, humorous and selfish. This shows that I am an individual who is selfless or
inquisitive. Although, I am not confident nor am I compulsive or humorous this demonstrates I am
introverted from the society and would like to be hidden in the dark when it comes to presentations
or meeting new strangers. I am not proud of this since I realized I care way too much about what
others have their opinions on me. If I were confident and cared less about what others thought about
me, I would have the traits as compulsive, confident, humorous and much more. In addition, this is
one of the reasons why others think I am shy at times due to my lack of confidence. Therefore, I do
have to work on putting myself out there to the society which will slowly happen.
I believe that I am friendly, kind, reliable, hardworking, punctual, and ambitious. Ever since I was a
child, my parents brought good manners and positive moral teachings into me. One of the lessons
they taught and I must obey is that I

In recent years, I have realized that my father portrays similar characteristics; he is strong,
fastâpaced, always wants his way and gets frustrated if he cannot achieve his goals, but still
understands others' emotions and tries to make up for his mistakes. However, I realized that
such personality traits are not ideal in this, and over the past few years, I have taken to
aggressively pursuing my goals, despite being pushed for time. I still do get frustrated when I do
not achieve my goals, but I do not worry about how others' view me and thus, have lost a bit of
the ability to sense others' emotions and feelings. In more general terms, I believe that heredity
has definitely played an important role in providing me with strength and aggressiveness to
pursue my goals, and influencing my reflexes, energy level and biological rhythm. However,
concurrently, many aspects of my personality have been moulded through my own experience
and my need to achieve what I aim for. Dominant Personality Traits. From a very young age, I

My Personal Qualities
Over the course, I have learned that all people are unique and have their own personal traits and
qualities. One person does not just simply fall into one category, but various categories. What is
beautiful about all of us is that we all have diverse personalities, traits and qualities. I have learned
that we should be proud of and embrace these unique qualities of ours.
As a perfectionist, I like to present my things beautifully and creatively, and it is clearly seen on

a pretty heart, and most importantly, a beautiful soul". I chose to use this quote because I adore it
and I go by it. What matters most is in the inside, not on the outside. I think people sometimes, even
me, get too caught up and try too hard to look beautiful, but they don't focus on personality.

year, I took a survey to figure out my learning style, and I got both auditory and visual learner. The
results have their little differences, but that shows people do change over time. Learning styles can
be learned and strengthened.

8. My Characteristics Of Myself
"Normality is a paved road. It's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it." â Van Gogh
Multiple characteristics of myself that have throughout my life have shaped me into the person that
I am today. One of them is my intelligence which, while not on some ridiculously high level, is
something that I have grown to value as I considered myself a person of great perception, being a
young man who appreciates logic and mathematical thinking, possesses a desire to look for the
hidden truth behind webs of contradictions/inconsistencies, love analyzing details and piecing
together information, as well as using creativity to solve problems and puzzles. Another trait of mine
that is the main focus of this essay is none other my eccentricity, which may be correlated to my
intelligence.
I'm what some have labeled me as a "weirdo", which I've learned has both positive and negative
connotations, and usually the negative connotation applied to me. I'm an introverted and quiet person
who, although doesn't mind socializing a bit from time to time with people that I'm comfortable
with, prefers to be by himself and do his own thing. When I am interacting with others, which is not
a usual thing, I come off as awkward and uncomfortable. Even by my loneself I'm still perform
eccentric habits and quirky movements. Always bottling up my complex emotions and deep
thoughts, I've faced hardships in expressing them to others in a way that can being understood. The
only situation where I feel like I can truly express myself to others is through texting, in other words
not faceâtoâface (I'm a textrovert). In addition, I'm what I considered myself as a nefelibata, a
term most people don't know the meaning of: a cloud walker or one who lives in the cloud of
their own imagination or dreams. My mind spend most of its time wandering around in the land of
. not abiding by the precepts of society. In fact, regardless of how I depict myself to others, anyone
who observe my actions can see the truth as plain as day; I'm nothing more than an unconventional,
unorthodox person. Of course, not everyone would like an outlandish person such as myself, and
soon did I also dislike a part of myself.

1.Descriptive Essay Nothing But Personality It was my first day at the school, I got into the
building where I was going to live. My eyes searched carefully from the door of one bedroom to
that of another for my name which ought to have been pasted on the door of one of these
bedrooms. At last I found it. On stepping into the bedroom I found there was already a student who
was making her bed, She was thin, short and blackâskinned. Her hair looked like a bundle of straw.
Her dirty clothes and lusterless eyes clearly indicated that she had a long journey. Her clothes
were made of cheap cloth. Her coat was too short, and the legs of her trousers were too loose. She
wore a pair of unfashionable rubber shoes. And all her looks made me feel that she did not look like
a smart girl. "A yokel," I concluded. The second she spoke, her accent told me that she was from
the south. "May I help you get your luggage from the office?" вĐĐI did not decline her help because
I really needed it. She was quick in movement. She walked out of the room and was soon far
ahead of me in the corridor. "A nice girl," I said to myself. "I will make friends with her." I hurried

This characteristic will motivate me to grow better in my future career as well. I believe that few
people have a strong inner feeling that pushes them to think out of the box to identify as issue and
find the solution. Personally, I always try to find the most creative solution and do not give up until
I get it. Sometime this energy is contagious on to next. I always search for the missing links and
fineâtune my thoughts until I reach a point that works. This creativity has steadily driven my
ambitions through the organization. Today the world is changing so rapidly and the way it has
changed in last few decades, it hasn't changed in last few hundred years. So adaptability has become
the need of the hour. I believe that adaptability is the most important quality of all, particularly if one
is in technology industry. There have been times when this adaptability has changed the
nomenclature of day and night but it has also given me rewards at the appropriate times.
Adaptability, personally, has created a farâreaching international outlook and I was able to spend
time, living outside my country of origin, working for UK retails giants and this stay not only
diversified my work experience but also my cultural experience. It has improved my exposure to
diverse situations with increasing levels of complexity and this exposure has increased my

Research has found lower scores associated with extraversion (McLaughlin et al., 2008, p. 218). In

someone's personality. Table 3 shows the majority of >3.5 GPA study individually or in a small

15. Personal Characteristics Of An Individual
Personal characteristics lead to the development of the personality of an individual. As a female,
my routine in each week as well as all my activities, help to develop my personality. I am an
international student from China, and my everyday plans help define the exact personality I
possess. My essay will include a plan for three days from the 26th of April to the 28th of April,
where the three days will present my personality traits through the personal characteristics that I
possess. The essay will present how adaptive, cautious, committed, cooperative, dependable, and well
organized among other factors that I am.
I start all my days by taking a shower for about 20 minutes after I wake up at 10 am. After I had
showered and dressed, I open my computer to check for my day schedules to identify the
assignments that ought to be turned in. While checking the daily routine and class assignments, I
make a list on notecard of the assignments that I need to turn in and other important events on my
calendar. On April 26, I had a quiz and presentation to prepare. In my diary, I note that I also have a
quiz of human resource management class on 28th April, and I need to be prepared for it. Thus, I
need to make time to prepare for the quiz during the day. Once I am done with my morning
activities, and listing all the things that I need to do on that day, I prepare myself to leave. Prior to

16. Individual Personalities Personality is defined as, "the sum total of ways in which an individual
reacts and interacts with others" and personality traits are defined as, "enduring characteristics that
describe an individual's behavior."(Robbins and Judge, 2009) Describing an individual's behavior
can be tricky and trying to change an individual's personality is near impossible. Business
managers have the task of implementing a leadership style that thrives in their perspective business.
However, in order for their particular style of leadership to be a success they need to understand the
role personalities play in business organizations. Team members personalities may dictate what style
a leader ultimately decides to implement, just as, employers will look to hire individuals with
personalities similar to that of the company. Hiring managers need to be in tune with personalities
and how they may help benefit their bottom line. This process is accomplished by the use of
personality tests, which have been around since the early 1900's.
Jung Typology Test
One of the most common personality tests is the Jung Typology Test. Jung is known as one of the
pioneers in the field of psychology, along with Sigmund Freud. His research gave light to the idea of
psychological types.
MyersâBriggs Typology Indicator
Then, motivated by and building upon Jung's research came the MyersâBriggs Type Indicator
(MBTI). Myers and Briggs wanted to share this information with more people.

19. What Is My Personality Essay
Our personalities differ as much as our DNA. Each one with many different traits that make us
who we are. While my siblings did not make the brightest choices, I have become wiser in the
decisions I make to show who I truly am. My parents, also have helped me discover traits that
were in me all along. My personality consists of different traits that have helped me find my true
self. By nature, I am shy. The decisions that my siblings have made influenced my parents,
making them stricter than most. I was usually put down when I went to ask if I could stay at my
cousins' house or if I could go to my aunts for the day. Since then I always stay home and read a
book or an article about a weird subject. Shyness, just like any other personality trait, has its pluses
and minuses. The key is to harness what makes you more reserved and use it to your advantage. I
have grown since I have learned about my shyness being an issue in school and in the classroom. I
have put myself into more activities, even though I still feel the shyness in me. I have grown more

taught to believe in myself and never down myself because I can accomplish anything. That is
shown through my determination and hard work because if I didn't believe in myself I wouldn't try
as hard. Last but not all, Humanistic approach sums up my personality a little more than
psychodynamic does because it involves nature vs. nurture and that kind of sums it up just saying
that. Environment and Heredity is kind of the main reasons of my attitudes and actions. In the
article, TimeâLimited Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Briggs conducts different forms of
psychotherapy techniques to prove whether things in an adolescent's life effect different adolescents
differently. His study was a success and proved that many adolescents have different interpretations
on the same issue. He read them off different problems and wanted to see how they would interpret
them. He used children in the age groups of 12â17 and it worked out. I think that the different
approaches can be brought together in some circumstances but in my case it doesn't. My personality
makes more sense coming from the humanistic approach. Briggs, Stephen (2010). TimeâLimited
