Unforgetting Room Sociology
In 1986 a new couple moved into the house that is over 100 years old, they live in a small town called Blackridge. They have heard nothing haunted
of this house, but all the neighbors warned people trying to buy the house because of the unforgetting room. The new residents were named John and
Hillary. They seem younger than a toddler. They're both 18 and have no idea why the the unforgetting room was locked. John and Hillary stop by a
neighbor's house to ask if they knew anything about the room that was locked. The neighbors told them about the myth that a couple was buried in that
very room 90 years ago, they said that many people think that they protect the room and watch tv on the very old televison. The neighbors also said

The World of Work and Workers as Seen on TV How much real work gets done–In the show Greys Anatomy, a lot of real work does get done and they

How Does Lee Present Scout's Relationship In To Kill A...
They are your competition, yet they support you. They are your enemy, yet when it comes down to it you end up fighting side by side. They hate you,
yet love you more than words could say. Sibling relationships are among the most complicated and confusing things to understand. Complex sibling
relationships are seen everywhere, whether you are reading or watching televison. To Kill a Mockingbird is just one example of literature that contains a
sibling dynamic effecting the theme. Harper Lee skillfully tells of the compelling relationship between Jem and Scout, as it unfolds and contributes to
the strong theme, change versus tradition.
Verbarendse 2
Throughout the publication Jem and Scout mature as people, adapt to changes around them, and develop a close bond.
The theme, change versus tradition, is ever present throughout the storyline. It is first revealed as Jem begins to grow up and doesn't have "time" for
Scout. This is evident in the following quotation: "Jem was twelve. He was difficult to live with, inconsistent, moody. His appetite was appalling, and
he told me so many times to stop pestering him..." (Lee 153) This causes tension between the two and shows that change is beginning to take place,

Positive Or Negative Effect On America's Youth
The argument of video games having a possitive or negative affect on America's youth has been around for several years. While many claim video
games are enhancing the lives of children I disagree. I am 30 years old and I can say that I have not lived in a world without video games. I did
however grow up in a time where it was encouraged to play outside and not sit in front of a televison all evening. Unfortunitly that is no longer the
case with most families. Child obesity is an epidemic in our country with video games being a direct link to this claim. Some new games that have
come out in the past few years have challenged children to be more active, making them walk to beat a level or incorportating physical activity into

Why Should Children Be Involved In Organized Activities
In this day and age I feel that children should be more involved in organized activities. There are many reasons for this to be said among them some
of the main factors for the statement is today's technology, the ammount of time that is spent inside looking at a screen, and the over all antisocialness
of children because of the freedom that they are given. Though there are good reasons to let children to be open, free and creative with what they do
with their time controling what they should do with said time is a much better choice.
Starting off with why children should be in more organized activities is the technology that this age has already released. Every child in todays time
has some form of technology that they're always looking into from a tablet, a phone, a laptop, or even just sitting inside looking a televison screen.
All these forms of technology take away from the childs time to do anything else this is why having organized activities in their life can help them
break away from such things. An example could be as simple as sports say instead of coming home from school and sitting on their phone the children
are going to practice, games, or even scrimmages for their team. Thus this keeps them away from the electronics and placing them in the real world. ...

Too Much Televison Is Good
Some people believe that things such as televison, computers, and cell phones have a negative effect on children while others believe that in the
long run they have no real effect. In my opinion watching too much televison is not good for children in the long run and can cause many problems
for you in the future. Children in the United States have an average of 7.5 hours of screen time per day. Spending that much time watching a
televison screen can be very damaging for the eyes as opposed to reading a book, creating an art project, or just going out side to get some fresh air.
An article from a scientific journal says that light from the screen confuses the viewers body clock this causes the veiwer to not geta decent amout of

How Does Technology Affect Pop Culture
In today's 21st century, technology has become a major influence in our lives. We have the ability to make mutual relationships through social media.
Since in the past people were able to come in contact with each other face to face and discuss their concerns regarding what is happening in their
environment. But now we can catch the news through the newsfeed on Facebook or other social media platforms. When you look at people are often on
their cell phones creating a feeling of isolation since they are attached to their phone and not noticing the real world around them. In relation, digital
humanities are known as the connecting of digital technologies and humanities, which is the study of human behavior. Digital technology and popular

world. It's also a big thing at jobs, for example, meterologist communicate on national televison to people at home on how the weather is going to be.
That is important because, it could be severe weather, and people at home need to be cautious of it. Communication can help everyone out, if its an

Should Children Be Restricted To Media Screens Analysis
In my opinion children should not be restricted from spending time in front of media screens. One reason why children should'nt be restricted to
media screens is because teconology gives children who are visual learners acces to educational videos where they would learn faster than reading
about it. Another reason is because since 2015 the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) changed their guidelines for children screen watching.
They now support children and parents to play video games together. Also children have showed researchers that watching TV with their parents has
reduced anger and fear. Children who are visual learners have a hard time following instructions. For example I myself am a visual learner and I

How Media Influence Body Image
"Body Image and the Media"
"70% of 6–12 year olds already have the mindset that they need to be thinner." (Just Say Yes.org)Many factors influence individual's perception of
his or her own appearance. Media has greatly increased the "ideal image of beauty." Barbie, models, and actors give people false hope that they will
look just like them, and if they look different then they aren't beautiful. Social media and peer pressures influence the way teens see themselves. To fix
this problem people need to learn to self–love, respect themselves, and understand that people on TV were given the job because of the way they look
to appeal to the audience.
First of all, since the growth of the Internet in 1980s the public has been bombarded with media–driven ideas of what characteristics are desirable for
men and women. Women tend to want to look like models they see on advertisements which is usually thin with nice curves. Men also tend to want to
look like models on advertisements, which consists of being tall, slender, muscular, and toned. Overall, men and women want to keep changing ... Show

some influence on girls ideal body image. A 2006 study shows that girls exposed to Barbie at a young age expressed greater concern with being thin.

Social Media 's Impact On Public Relations
Social media forums have had a positive impact on the Public Relations industry in the twenty first century. The massive increase in social media
usage has provided a medium by which it is easier to connect with a larger audience worldwide. This has resulted in an adoption of social media
strategies for many PR specialists. Sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram allow these specialists to keep up with the public's opinions on
current events as well as promote businesses or products. The public relations industry is very different from advertising. While advertisers pay for
exposure and visual aids, PR specialists use language and conferences to earn the trust of the public. According to the Public Relations Society of
America "Public relations is a strategic communication process that builds mutually beneficial relationships between organizations and their publics."
PR specialists are image shapers and storytellers that can be used to enhance, protect, and build reputations through any form of media or self–created
production. If the news is bad, they formulate the best response to reduce the damage. Their job is to create positive publicity for their client as well
as enhance their reputation. Public relations specialists over the years have had to stay on top of the changes in communication in order to adapt for
the sake of their business. Before all these new forms of media, the humble fax machine was depended on to send press releases. Most early PR

Every title that I have have listed involves a girl getting courted by a boy because he saw her one time and was taken away by her beauty, an they
immdiatly knew that he had to have her, without ever speaking to her. Like in Cinderella, when she arrives at the ball, the prince instantly falls in
love with her because she is so beautiful and stands out from everyone else, and he doesn't even know who she is. Another great example of this is
Twilight. Bella has a certain scent to her that Edward immediately falls in love with, without even knowing her. My favrotie example is the movie Say
Anything because the main character Lloyd experiences love at first sight with a girl that is the complete opposite from him and is completely out of
his league. I love that he just knew that she was meant him.

Tv Show Diversity
What really is considered too white? Why doesn't tv show more of a color diversity? Should television even be used to demonstrate equality between
whites and people of color? Although it may be true, there are statically more white's than black's in the U.S. ranging from 75.1% to 12.3% according
to the Demographic Statistics. However as the years continue on, equality between African Americans and whites are still being battled throughout the
U.S. as African Americans are still being slandered for the color of their skin. So as a fellowAfrican American citizen myself, television wouldn't be a
bad start to show how people of color and whites can actually get along on the big screen. On the year of 1939, the first African American television
show called "The Ethel Waters Showed." aired on NBC for the first time ever. A woman by the name, Ethel Waters along with the African Americans
actresses Fredi Washington and Georgette Harvery performed a dramatic sequence from her hit play Mamba's Daughters.(African American Registry)
This played a big part within the African American community being the first black television on air, because of this new start it will be the start of
more African Americans appearing on air and having more television shows and series. This will also show the beginning of a start for African
Americans playing a part along the whites producing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Hearing the people that they look up to preach this way of life, opened more doors for crime in these teen's lives. Many teens get heavily involved in
the music that they listen to. A large amount of evidence of this can be found by looking at the "hard–core" crowds that follow different types of music.
The Punk Rock culture is a good example. Many kids that are intoduced to punk rock music incorperate the music into their way of life. They dress in
tight jeans with holes, have odd and sometimes even ridiculous hair styles, piercings, tattoes, and their way of life is to not care about anything.
Hard–core punk music is usually hate based. Hate for the government, society, drugs, and other issues.. The teens that get heavily involved in punk
music will fight against governmental issues and things that they dislike about their surroundings.
The hippie culture, driven by 60's music that preached peace, excercised what they heard in the music that they cherished. They promoted peace and
protested against things such as war and hate. I point out that all of the people that are part of these cultures surrounding music, for the most part, use
the music they listen to and incorperate it into their belief systems and their ways of everyday life. As I have said earlier, Gangsta–Rap lyrics revolve
around guns, violence, crime, and drugs. Juveniles that are influenced

Literary Analysis Of The Necklace
In "The Necklace" the authors choice of words, or diction, is very well articulated. I enjoyed this story because the narrator, Guy de Maupassant sets
us so much suspense with the tone of the story. Madame Louisel essentailly loses a valuable item, or so she thought, and goes to major extents and
even life–deminishing problems to just make it seem like she was not responsible enough to take care of a necklace for a night. The story intially
takes place at a ball that Madame Louisel has been invited to by her husband. In the beginning of the story Madame is very indecisive about
making an appearance at the ball. She complained she did not have a dress, any jewels, and she was scared she would look like a "pauper"(174).
She did not want to look poor around a bunch of rich woman, so she had asked a friend for a piece of jewelry to wear for the night. Excited, she
picks out the diamond necklace that seemed to stand out to her. She adored it. The narrator describes it as "lovliest of all, elegant, smiling, and
radiating with joy"(175). Having a blast at the party, dancing, drinking, and not thinking about anything else, Madame left the ball around four in the
morning. Calling a cab, Madame and her husband were on their way home, delighted with the fun night that they had. Finally arriving at home, they
begin to get into comfortable clothes when suddenly Madame notices that the diamond necklace she had borrowed from a friend for the night had gone

Ever wondered how the movie you are watching got it's rating? It got it's rating from the Movie Picture Association of America, which makes the
decision whether or not it is appropriate for certain audiences. The two articles entitled "Movie Picture Association of America Defends Its Ratings
System" and "Rating System Runs Adrift" both deal with the issues of ratings systems in movies, music, video games, and television. The rating
scale is used largely to protect children from what can be too inappropriate for them to view. As a matter of fact, The Movie Picture Association of
America controls four different categories: music, movies, television shows and video games. The Movie Pictures Association of America uses five
ratings for movies, seven ratings for TV shows, six ratings for video games and one rating for music. These ratings tell the audience what the film
consists of, and on what level of appropriateness it is. For example, most children's movies are between G and PG, while movies for more adult
audiences are between PG–13 and NC–17. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

According to Singer, "Acquiring new aggressive behavioral patterns" is one of the first indications that violent programs can influence a child to
learn how to become more aggressive (70). Second, Singer noted that "violent programs can provide indications for the most functional behaviors in
a particular situation" (70). If people have the wrong motives, then they are punished, but if people have the right motives, they are rewarded.
Another form is drawing attention, "Aggressive children are more inclined to watch violent programs" (Van Der Voort 46). Once children watch a
violent program, children are led to be more aggressive and therefore want to keep watching aggressive shows. Finally, the change in attitude
towards violence in children are as researchers say that the "attitudes of violence decreases as the child gets more and more involved in violent
shows" (Gunter 48). As children get older and older, their views of violence change for the worse; they no longer see how hurting someone on purpose
is wrong. Over time, children not only become even more violent but also are increasingly getting more attached to the violence portrayed on television.
There are several ways of proving that viewing violent shows can affect aggression in young children. The first way is through direct effect. This is the
result of actually doing harm to self or others, "displaying an increased amount of physical and verbal

Reviews of the Television Version of the Sound of Music Essay
First things first the television show Sound Of Music that was broadcasted in December 5th 2013 and was broadcasted on national televison
channel called NBC the producers name was Craig Zadan and Neil Meron , the special had a cool cast such as a Carrie Underwood who stared in this
show as Maria von Trapp. It was performed and televised live all over the country from a film studio in Bethpage , New York. The history of the show
was very interesting so far and how they had famous actors such as Carrie Underwood , although there was criticism directly to Carrie Underwood
who was casting in the show as Maria , many said that Carrie did not have much experience to play such a big role as Maria. It was said before that

Woah thats a lot of von Trapps you might say well there is a lot of them. Not just that but also there is credits to be credited including Rob Ashford and
Beth Mccarthy–Miller as directors. So many cast members you also might say , but on September 16 , 2013 , NBC revealed the full cast of the
special. Want to know a little bit more about the history well inThe Sound Of Music Live was broadcasted live from a stage in Bethpage , New York in
about a budget of 9 million dollars which was not much you may think but one of the producers named Zadan considered it to be "one of the
profoundly complicated , amazing experiences we've ever had" Zadan said. If you didnt know before The Sound Of Music Live was aired as part of a
push by NBC to air more live entertainment specials. As it was said before that the Sound Of Music was broadcasted among programs such as
Sunday Night football , the show got in those rankings of views which is incredible ; the sound of music was watched by 18.62 million viewers and
had a 4.6 rating in the 18–49 demographic it was one of the most viewed shows that was programmed at night.
Another topic that would be interesting to discuss would be on the sponsorships that The Sound Of Music recieved by big companies that are seen in
every corner and city. This sponsorship must of helped a lot because this company is well known. The place that helped a lot

Voting In Democracy
It is the very early stages of the change of human freedom in business. Human freedom provides benefits to businesses as much as the governments.
While there are economic benefits to very large organisations, there are human benefits to small organisations. Another point is that information
technology has reduced the costs significantly which benefits all the organisations.
There is a question of who makes the decision. It is said that it should be done by the states, however it is also said that some states are more equal
than others. For example, G8 is consired as the most equals. Moreover, there is also G7. The powerful states have institutions such as IMF or WTO.
Voting is one of the key acts ofdemocracy and also a mandatory action in some countries. While I agree that voting is an important action, I believe
this should be an optional right.
Democracy means the freedom of acts and voting is just one act to be performed. Hence, it is clear that to make the voting compulsory contradicts with
the notion of democracy. Although the propents of mandatory voting claim that voting runs the democracy, it is often forgotten that giving freedom
should not be underestimated. Consequently, in that manner, freedom also means the freedom of voting.
On the other hand, there can be drawed some conclusions if voting is made compulsory in a democratic country. First of all, this puts pressure on
people to vote and it can cause serious problems unless they are sure to what or whome to

Elements Of A Dynamic Character According To Abrams
CHAPTER III
THEORITICAL FRAMEWORK
3.1.Intrinsic Aspect
3.1.1. Narrative Elements One of important thing in a story is narrative elements. Narrative elements determine the story.
According to Abrams, a narrative is a story , whether told in prose or verse, involving events, characters, and whatthe characters say and do. Some
literary forms suc as the novel and short story in prose, and the epic and the romace in verse, are explicit narratives that are told by a narrator. In
drama, the narrative is not told, but evolves by means of the direct presentation on stage of the actions and speeches of the characters. (1999:173)
It can be concluded that narrative elemnts consist of theme, character, setting, plot, and conflict. However, in this ... Show more content on

There are Internal conflict and external conflict. Internal conflict happens in character's mind. A character has to fight with itself. External conflict
happens when a character has to face a different force from the social environment. We can easily find external conflict because sometimes it is
clearly depicted in a story of a movie or tv series.
3.1.2. Cinematic Elements Cinematic elements or usually called as cinematographie elements also have an important role in the movie or TV series.
It is because viewers will see how a story is depicted within a set of visual actions in a TV series. Cinematic elements consist of Camera Distance,
Mise–en–Scene, and sound.

The Influence Of Donald Trump: Rapists And Criminals
The subject is that Donald Trump doesn't deserve to be the president of the united states. They claim he is not worthy enough of being "Racist" for
accusing all mexicans of being rapists and criminals. Which could be false accusation because americans can be rapists and criminals also. They also
claim Donald Trump is an elitist and he thinks he is better than everyone else. The authors position in this editorial is a part of The Editorial Boardset.
The author of this editorial does support the evidence with facts. I think this author does try to tell his emotions to the readers. The author strongly
explains everything Donald Trump does wrong and I think the only thing this author looks for are the negative things in Donald, so he doesn't

Madtv: The Failure Of Asian Culture
There are many stereotypes regarding various races, one that comes to mind is about asians. For example, like their inability to drive. This has been a
stereotype that has been believed to be true for a long time due to the fact it has been repeated consistantly. The video shown on MadTv showed the
multiple preconceived notions people have about asian culture. Over the years, culture has been modified to fit into a box. People have gotten
accustomed by putting labels on something they don't understand. In this case, asians have been boxed in to understand them as a whole. This is one
of the many common habits culture as a whole has failed in expressing. Even though these stereotypes are only thoughts that have been expressed
consistently, it

Stereotypes Of Men And Women
In today's modern world, mass media plays a significant role in stereotypes of both men and women. For instance, the broadcasting of television is a
major influence that shapes the way society views gender roles based on their beliefs, attitudes, and opinions. As much as we portray television as a
source of entertainment, it is in television where we come across gender inequality and sexism. Believe it or not, television is a factor that is
teaching society the way men and women should be seen at work and at home. From the point of view of television, women tend to be either stay at
home moms, sex symbols, unemployed or with a low paying job, emotional, and passive. Men on the other hand, tend to be heroes, or alcoholics, have
high paying jobs, or incapable of living without a woman who can clean up after them. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

capable of cleaning up after themselves. Homer's wife Marge is displayed as a stay at home mom who looks after her three kids, Bart, Lisa, and
Maggie. Marge stereotypes the traditional stay at home mom who only cleans and cooks. Lisa the daughter is very feminine and emotional while
Bart the son is very masculine and rebellious. Through "The Simpsons", it is illustrated that men normally act this way while women act a different
way. The message is clear that men are depended to work while women clean, girls are sensitive, and boys are to play

Pros And Cons Of Chirldren Spend In Front Of Screens Essay
When it comes to children spending time infront of screens such as tv's, tablets, I pads, cell phones and video games it can be a difficult argument
for parents. Parents can widely dissagree on their perspectives. Making this a difficult topic for them to come to solution on. Where both sides
make good valid points for why chirldren should or should not limit the time they spend in front of screens. I thnk a lot of it has to do with what
these children are watching and exactly just how long are they watching for. Spending to much time in front of screens can have negative affects on
a child. To much screen time can take a physical and mental toll on chirldren. Lights from these screens can confuse chirldren's body clocks and
disrupt sleep. To much screen time can also fractue viewers attention and sap mental energy. Depression and obesity have aslo been linked to to much
screen viewing. Time in fornt of screens can also be a good thing. When parents watch televison or play video games with their child, it reduces anger
and fear and increased learning. Studies have also shown that toddlers improve their vocabulary from chatting with a faimly member on screen as much

I think there is no wrong or right side on this issue. In my own personal experience i do beleive that to much screen time can limit the time a child
spends outdoors, their imagination, their thinking process, and their problem solving skills. As someone who is a better visual learner then a reader,
I find that watching something on a screen can be very helpfull and a lot easier to understand at times. I aslo beleive that with the amount of media
content there is for children that it can be very useful in helping them learn and develop. So I would say as long as children arent spending to much
time in front of screens and are still doing other activities, there's no need to keep them away from

Negative Outcomes from Portrayal of Young Women in the Media
When one thinks of media, one tends to relate media to television, news, magazines, newspaper articles, and so on. Many people do not think of media
is something that portrays negative effects on young women. However, young women are more susceptible to lower self–esteem resulting in eating
disorders or depression more today than ever before. The media projects negative and undermining images of women and one does not have to look
very hard to realize this. The media projects images of unrealistic women who only look the way they do because of plastic surgery or airbrushing
techniques. The media has much greater effects on young girls than anything else in our culture today. Our society has created an environment so
obsessed with... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although, all of this has been overlooked. What is overlooked is how media portrays one. Media tends to portray women as being thin and being
beautiful. In a recent survey done by the National institute on Media and the Family, fifth graders, ten year old boys and girls told researchers they
were dissatisfied with their own bodies after watching a music video by Britney Spears or a clip from the TV show "Friends."(4) If this isn't shocking
enough, the research group reported that at the age of thirteen, fifty–three percent of American girls are "unhappy with their bodies." This grows to
seventy–eight percent by the time the girls reach seventeen. Also, eating disorders are beginning to start at an alarming young age. Statistics show that
girls are developing eating disorders at the age of six.(1) Young girls that are exposed to appearance focused television programs, andmagazine shows
feel that they need to look like the models that they see. Most of these girls are not even have fully developed bodies yet and are already trying to
perfect themselves. One girl had even shared how one of her best friends discovered that her fifth grade cousin was bulimic. Girls at that age should
not even be concerned with their bodies yet and eating disorders being developed is a harsh wake up call as to how young girls everywhere are
being effected by the media each and everyday. Not only is negative media affecting teenage girls, children now are surrounded by

Argumentative Essay On Screen Time
Screen time limits for children and letting go of the fear of screen time for kids has been a dicussion for quite some time now. All parents, I
believe, have argued over which is best; Massive amounts of screen time is bad for your children and the use of screen time is good for your child
/children. In some cases, screen time limit for kids can be the best choice. According to the passage experts have long known that TV watching is not
good for children. There are many ways to have access to screen time now with all the televisions, personal DVD players. cell phones and tablets
around. In the articale about screen time limits states that between 2011 and 2013, children ages 8 and under more than doubled the use of media

Despite the long–standing guidelines from the American Academy of Pediatrics kids 2 years and older should be limited to 1 to 2 hours a day and
those that the 2 years and younger shouldnt have any screen time at all. Screen time takes mental and physical toll on kids. In the article it says that
a scientific journal article stated light from screens also fractures viewers' attention and mental energy. It also states that for the first time in fifty
years, researchers are seeing a significant decrease in kids' creativity. Now, in the arugment of less or more screen time for children, the articale
about letting go of screen time fears has it's pros and cons as well. Some studies show watching too much TV causes lower test scores, obesity in
children and weak executive functions. In the passage it says that these studies are flawed. Kids who watch more TV often share other demographic
factors in common that also have been proved to be connected to similar concerns. Critics often push the agurment of "screen time versus green time".
The agurment has to do with the blame for children not playing outside, which TV and video games. But this argument over looks the factors such as
child supervision, safety, and access to outdoor green

1950s Music
1.The space race was after the cold war, between the United States and the Soviet Union, to see would get to the moon first. "Satellite" is sung by
Teresa Brewer, it has a powerful message and a catchy beat. This is the perfect song because the lyrics describe what the United States was going
through at this time. 2.Living in the suburbs in the 50s was viewed as the American Dream. "Little Boxes" mocks the suburban life style, with the
houses made out of 'ticky tacky' and they all look the same. The song breaks down what it is truly like to live in the suburbs. 3.In the 1950s women

Technology in the 50s wasn't very advanced as it is now so when the Vacuum tube Amplifier came out, musicians everywhere came out of the wood

Brenston was recorded on one and had a little tid bit of it in the song. 7.Life of a teenager in the 1950s was very conventional, they had a lot of rules as
to what they can and cannot do. "Summertime Blues" is a song about teenagers sterotical problems and the life of a teen. This is the best pick because
it literally says how life was for a teen in the 50s. 8.Love songs are a timeless piece of music, every single generation has thousands of iconic love
songs. I picked "Why do Fools Fall in Love" out of thousands of love songs because it is such a beautiful song. It's a lovesick ballad that really
connects with the 50s with its lyrics. 9.Televison was first produced in 1951, but it wasn't untill 1953 when good shows became accessible. One of
the first TV Shows to become very popular in the 50s is "I Love Lucy", so I picked the theme song. I Love Lucy was one of the most Iconic and loved
TV's shows in the 50s, so it just made sense to add the theme

Why Do Minorss Use Social Media
Jacob O'Hara 3rd Minors and Social Media People have used cell phones since they first came out and many people love them. People use them
night and day and cant get enough of them. I believe minors should use social media because it's how everybody communicates and is informed
about what's happening in the world. Minors should use social media because it gives them a social life. CNN says that most people communicate
over social media and interact with others, like their friends or just random people. If CNN says that people everywhere talk on social media then
minors should be able to interact as well so they can be informed about what's going on and do what everyone else does. In addition minors use social

Examples Of Censorship In Fahrenheit 451
Censorship throughout history is accurately portrayed in Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. From the politicians of today and their attempts to censor
the media, to the censorship of the past by foreign countries, the actions of the "Firemen" in Bradbury's novel Fahrenheit 451 are similar in method. It
shows how encouraging censorship can lead to the loss of other freedoms. Examples of this censorship include banning of literature, banning of the
internet, and no freedom.
The banning of literature is an example of censorship because in Fahrenheit 451 they made it to where it was a crime it read or even own a book. You

  • 5. How Does Lee Present Scout's Relationship In To Kill A... They are your competition, yet they support you. They are your enemy, yet when it comes down to it you end up fighting side by side. They hate you, yet love you more than words could say. Sibling relationships are among the most complicated and confusing things to understand. Complex sibling relationships are seen everywhere, whether you are reading or watching televison. To Kill a Mockingbird is just one example of literature that contains a sibling dynamic effecting the theme. Harper Lee skillfully tells of the compelling relationship between Jem and Scout, as it unfolds and contributes to the strong theme, change versus tradition. Verbarendse 2 Throughout the publication Jem and Scout mature as people, adapt to changes around them, and develop a close bond. The theme, change versus tradition, is ever present throughout the storyline. It is first revealed as Jem begins to grow up and doesn't have "time" for Scout. This is evident in the following quotation: "Jem was twelve. He was difficult to live with, inconsistent, moody. His appetite was appalling, and he told me so many times to stop pestering him..." • 6. Positive Or Negative Effect On America's Youth The argument of video games having a possitive or negative affect on America's youth has been around for several years. While many claim video games are enhancing the lives of children I disagree. I am 30 years old and I can say that I have not lived in a world without video games. I did however grow up in a time where it was encouraged to play outside and not sit in front of a televison all evening. Unfortunitly that is no longer the case with most families. Child obesity is an epidemic in our country with video games being a direct link to this claim. Some new games that have come out in the past few years have challenged children to be more active, making them walk to beat a level or incorportating physical activity into ... • 8. Why Should Children Be Involved In Organized Activities In this day and age I feel that children should be more involved in organized activities. There are many reasons for this to be said among them some of the main factors for the statement is today's technology, the ammount of time that is spent inside looking at a screen, and the over all antisocialness of children because of the freedom that they are given. Though there are good reasons to let children to be open, free and creative with what they do with their time controling what they should do with said time is a much better choice. Starting off with why children should be in more organized activities is the technology that this age has already released. Every child in todays time has some form of technology that they're always looking into from a tablet, a phone, a laptop, or even just sitting inside looking a televison screen. All these forms of technology take away from the childs time to do anything else this is why having organized activities in their life can help them break away from such things. An example could be as simple as sports say instead of coming home from school and sitting on their phone the children are going to practice, games, or even scrimmages for their team. Thus this keeps them away from the electronics and placing them in the real world. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Too Much Televison Is Good Some people believe that things such as televison, computers, and cell phones have a negative effect on children while others believe that in the long run they have no real effect. In my opinion watching too much televison is not good for children in the long run and can cause many problems for you in the future. Children in the United States have an average of 7.5 hours of screen time per day. Spending that much time watching a televison screen can be very damaging for the eyes as opposed to reading a book, creating an art project, or just going out side to get some fresh air. • 13. Should Children Be Restricted To Media Screens Analysis In my opinion children should not be restricted from spending time in front of media screens. One reason why children should'nt be restricted to media screens is because teconology gives children who are visual learners acces to educational videos where they would learn faster than reading about it. Another reason is because since 2015 the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) changed their guidelines for children screen watching. They now support children and parents to play video games together. Also children have showed researchers that watching TV with their parents has reduced anger and fear. Children who are visual learners have a hard time following instructions. For example I myself am a visual learner and I struggled in school ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 14. How Media Influence Body Image "Body Image and the Media" "70% of 6–12 year olds already have the mindset that they need to be thinner." (Just Say Yes.org)Many factors influence individual's perception of his or her own appearance. Media has greatly increased the "ideal image of beauty." Barbie, models, and actors give people false hope that they will look just like them, and if they look different then they aren't beautiful. Social media and peer pressures influence the way teens see themselves. To fix this problem people need to learn to self–love, respect themselves, and understand that people on TV were given the job because of the way they look to appeal to the audience. First of all, since the growth of the Internet in 1980s the public has been bombarded with media–driven ideas of what characteristics are desirable for men and women. Women tend to want to look like models they see on advertisements which is usually thin with nice curves. Men also tend to want to look like models on advertisements, which consists of being tall, slender, muscular, and toned. Overall, men and women want to keep changing ... • 15. Social Media 's Impact On Public Relations Social media forums have had a positive impact on the Public Relations industry in the twenty first century. The massive increase in social media usage has provided a medium by which it is easier to connect with a larger audience worldwide. This has resulted in an adoption of social media strategies for many PR specialists. Sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram allow these specialists to keep up with the public's opinions on current events as well as promote businesses or products. The public relations industry is very different from advertising. While advertisers pay for exposure and visual aids, PR specialists use language and conferences to earn the trust of the public. According to the Public Relations Society of America "Public relations is a strategic communication process that builds mutually beneficial relationships between organizations and their publics." PR specialists are image shapers and storytellers that can be used to enhance, protect, and build reputations through any form of media or self–created production. If the news is bad, they formulate the best response to reduce the damage. Their job is to create positive publicity for their client as well as enhance their reputation. Public relations specialists over the years have had to stay on top of the changes in communication in order to adapt for the sake of their business. Should television even be used to demonstrate equality between whites and people of color? Although it may be true, there are statically more white's than black's in the U.S. ranging from 75.1% to 12.3% according to the Demographic Statistics. However as the years continue on, equality between African Americans and whites are still being battled throughout the U.S. as African Americans are still being slandered for the color of their skin. So as a fellowAfrican American citizen myself, television wouldn't be a bad start to show how people of color and whites can actually get along on the big screen. On the year of 1939, the first African American television show called "The Ethel Waters Showed." aired on NBC for the first time ever. A woman by the name, Ethel Waters along with the African Americans actresses Fredi Washington and Georgette Harvery performed a dramatic sequence from her hit play Mamba's Daughters.(African American Registry) This played a big part within the African American community being the first black television on air, because of this new start it will be the start of more African Americans appearing on air and having more television shows and series. From 1996 to the present there has been a slight decline from the statistics in 1995(OJJDP). What was the cause for this uprise in juvenile delinquincy? I will discuss 2 different theories to why there was such an increase in juvenile crime rates. I will analyze the rise of the "Gangsta–Rap" culture in the early 1990's and how it may have affected teenagers that are in lower–income families. Hearing the people that they look up to preach this way of life, opened more doors for crime in these teen's lives. Many teens get heavily involved in the music that they listen to. A large amount of evidence of this can be found by looking at the "hard–core" crowds that follow different types of music. The Punk Rock culture is a good example. Many kids that are intoduced to punk rock music incorperate the music into their way of life. They dress in tight jeans with holes, have odd and sometimes even ridiculous hair styles, piercings, tattoes, and their way of life is to not care about anything. Hard–core punk music is usually hate based. Hate for the government, society, drugs, and other issues.. The teens that get heavily involved in punk music will fight against governmental issues and things that they dislike about their surroundings. The hippie culture, driven by 60's music that preached peace, excercised what they heard in the music that they cherished. They promoted peace and protested against things such as war and hate. I point out that all of the people that are part of these cultures surrounding music, for the most part, use the music they listen to and incorperate it into their belief systems and their ways of everyday life. • 20. Literary Analysis Of The Necklace In "The Necklace" the authors choice of words, or diction, is very well articulated. I enjoyed this story because the narrator, Guy de Maupassant sets us so much suspense with the tone of the story. Madame Louisel essentailly loses a valuable item, or so she thought, and goes to major extents and even life–deminishing problems to just make it seem like she was not responsible enough to take care of a necklace for a night. The story intially takes place at a ball that Madame Louisel has been invited to by her husband. In the beginning of the story Madame is very indecisive about making an appearance at the ball. She complained she did not have a dress, any jewels, and she was scared she would look like a "pauper"(174). She did not want to look poor around a bunch of rich woman, so she had asked a friend for a piece of jewelry to wear for the night. Excited, she picks out the diamond necklace that seemed to stand out to her. She adored it. The narrator describes it as "lovliest of all, elegant, smiling, and radiating with joy"(175). It got it's rating from the Movie Picture Association of America, which makes the decision whether or not it is appropriate for certain audiences. The two articles entitled "Movie Picture Association of America Defends Its Ratings System" and "Rating System Runs Adrift" both deal with the issues of ratings systems in movies, music, video games, and television. The rating scale is used largely to protect children from what can be too inappropriate for them to view. As a matter of fact, The Movie Picture Association of America controls four different categories: music, movies, television shows and video games. The Movie Pictures Association of America uses five ratings for movies, seven ratings for TV shows, six ratings for video games and one rating for music. These ratings tell the audience what the film consists of, and on what level of appropriateness it is. For example, most children's movies are between G and PG, while movies for more adult audiences are between PG–13 and NC–17. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, at the same time the Motion Picture Association of America has been very vulpine with the PG–13 rating. According to one researcher, "Before children reach the age of 18, they spend approximately 22,000 hours watching television, and about 200,000 violent acts" (Gunter 23). Second, Singer noted that "violent programs can provide indications for the most functional behaviors in a particular situation" (70). If people have the wrong motives, then they are punished, but if people have the right motives, they are rewarded. Another form is drawing attention, "Aggressive children are more inclined to watch violent programs" (Van Der Voort 46). Once children watch a violent program, children are led to be more aggressive and therefore want to keep watching aggressive shows. Finally, the change in attitude towards violence in children are as researchers say that the "attitudes of violence decreases as the child gets more and more involved in violent shows" (Gunter 48). As children get older and older, their views of violence change for the worse; they no longer see how hurting someone on purpose is wrong. Over time, children not only become even more violent but also are increasingly getting more attached to the violence portrayed on television. There are several ways of proving that viewing violent shows can affect aggression in young children. The first way is through direct effect. • 27. Voting In Democracy It is the very early stages of the change of human freedom in business. Human freedom provides benefits to businesses as much as the governments. While there are economic benefits to very large organisations, there are human benefits to small organisations. Another point is that information technology has reduced the costs significantly which benefits all the organisations. There is a question of who makes the decision. It is said that it should be done by the states, however it is also said that some states are more equal than others. For example, G8 is consired as the most equals. Moreover, there is also G7. The powerful states have institutions such as IMF or WTO. Voting is one of the key acts ofdemocracy and also a mandatory action in some countries. While I agree that voting is an important action, I believe this should be an optional right. Democracy means the freedom of acts and voting is just one act to be performed. Hence, it is clear that to make the voting compulsory contradicts with the notion of democracy. Although the propents of mandatory voting claim that voting runs the democracy, it is often forgotten that giving freedom should not be underestimated. Consequently, in that manner, freedom also means the freedom of voting. On the other hand, there can be drawed some conclusions if voting is made compulsory in a democratic country.
