Introduction
Teaching is a profession that is considered to be a rewarding challenging and complex role. An
effective teacher does not simply teach knowledge their students and instead aims to arm students
with the knowledge, skills, understanding and attitudes that will prepare students for life–long
learning. The constructivist theories developed by Piaget and Vygotsky have impacted on the way
that teachers teach and this has changed the approach of teaching to place a greater importance on
the teacher instead to act as a facilitator of learning in an open, constructivist environment and

understood. The use of questioning is essential to all parties within the classroom and is not only
used as an assessment tool by the teacher and as a clarification from the student but as means of

My Goals For My First Semester
After two full weeks of college I have quickly learned that college is very stressful and if I want to
be successful I need to learn how to set practical goals and acquire necessary tactics to accomplish
each goal in the given amount of time. I have set three goals for my first semester of college to
achieve success in both academic and personal areas in my life. I want to receive a 4.0 GPA, only
have up to one absence in each class, and be able to run seven miles nonstop, I will complete these

I Am My First Lesson Plan
During my stay at Windsor elementary school, I spent my time observing my cooperating teacher
and her students. For the first few class sessions I sat patiently on the sidelines observing anything
and everything that caught the least bit of my interest. When Ms. Burton had time an asked

Dedication This book is dedicated to all student teachers and for those becoming student teachers
who believe that there are better and more effective ways of teaching and teaching is more fun
and challenging. Philosophy of education My philosophy of education can refer to either the
academic field of applied Philiosopher to one of any educational philosophies that promote a
specific type or vision of education, and which examine the definition, goals and meaning of
education. As a student teacher of this institution, I believe from the other philosophers who
really helped me o lot on how to be more effective teacher someday. I can be more effective if I am
following some of the theories of the Philosophers. The philosophy of education may be either the
philosophy of the process of education or the philosophy of the discipline of education. That is, it
may be part of the discipline in the sense of being concerned with the aims, forms, methods, or
results of the process of educating or being educated; or it may be multidisciplinary in the sense of
being concerned with the concepts, aims, and methods of the discipline. The multiple ways of
conceiving education coupled with the multiple fields and approaches of philosophy make
philosophy of education not only a very diverse field but also one that is not easily defined.
Although there is overlap, philosophy of education should not be conflated with educational theory,
which is not defined specifically by the application

Literacy Lesson Plan Essay
Literacy is the foundation of all things that students do in their learning. When thinking about the
learning that must take place, it is important to keep in mind the individual learning styles of each
child in the classroom.
In beginning to think about how to write a lesson plan for a literacy block I would first need to
ask myself, "What do I want my students to know and be able to do?" This question will help
guide my work as I plan the activities and assessments for this lesson. Along with asking myself this
question, I will also need to think about the exact skills and learning outcomes that will come as a
result of this lesson.
For this lesson, my learning objectives are that students can describe characters, settings, and major
events in a story, using key details. This lesson will focus specifically on how they can describe the
characters in a story using key details.
Learning Objectives:
Literacy provides the opportunity to address educational standards in many different ways and
engage children through texts, small groups and individual conversations. For this lesson, I would
first begin with a whole group mini–lesson. During this lesson I would teach and model the skills
that I want students to be able to do following our work. During this mini–lesson, it would be
important for me to model the skill or strategy and then provide the students the opportunity to
practice the skill. During my lesson I would model for students how to identify the characteristics of
a character and organize the information using a graphic organizer. Providing this time allows the
children to try the skill before they leave the group and ask any questions. The most important part
about the use of a mini–lesson is that it is just as the name says, mini. This method of instructional
delivery should not be more than 12

The Importance Of Instructional Plan
It was a few months ago that Robin and I were reviewing the ID schedule. We looked at
August...and we saw a storm brewing. It looked like we would have an incredibly busy August.
Weeks later, the final decision was made regarding course coordinators, and we found out the
templates were coming back to us just in time for the ABSN Fall openings! A whopping NINE
newly revised or created courses went live in August. That's right, NINE! Additionally, we finally
got RealizeIt off the ground. Robin and I sat through many, many meetings in order to make sure
students and faculty were fully prepared to use this new resource. We spent August 3rd in Oak
Brook with ABSN and MSN instructors to make sure they knew they would have the support they
It is no secret that you had some big shoes to fill here, and over the last few months it's been
wonderful to watch both instructor and program director confidence in you blossom. You are
making your own place here, and I am happy to have a front row seat to watch. I share all of the

high number as well. How high, you ask? The total number of revisions completed from August
2016 to August 2017 was 413. Let me spell it out: 25% of the total number of revision requests for
the year were completed in August. Did you feel busy? I did. Did we serve our faculty and students
