● Be SPECIFIC!
● Writing them helps you picture/remember
them
● Make sure they are MEASURABLE
● Give yourself a TIME FRAME
● read out loud frequently
● posted visibly

9. Goal types: Long vs. Short goals
● A short term goal is
achieved quickly (finish
essay,wash dishes, mail

Friday, etc.). They help
you achieve your long
term goals.

take months, years, all
your life.

– Will the rewards be worth what you put in to
it?
– Is it what you want?
