3. 1. Define your region with a short explanation.
The region of Powai, a serene and beautiful suburb, has
a variety of food outlets. Not only are there different
types of eateries, but also the people eating here have
varying standards of food preferences. From five-star
hotels to local joints, a varied range of food outlets are
available which serve dishes varying from Indian to
continental. So, a survey of the eateries of Powai
provided us with an opportunity to explore the food
joints in the region, which was indeed a great
experience.
5. 2. Identify the different kinds of food joints in your area.
The different kinds of food joints available in the area are
Vegetarian, Non-Vegetarian, Fast Food Joints and Multi
Cuisine restaurants. Few surveyed by us are “Gurukripa”
and “Ungli Chaat”
6. 3. What kind of people frequently visit these joints?
Through the research we have found that different classes and groups
of people very frequently visit these food joints. There are families,
students, working people visiting these joints.
4. Are the people of your region satisfied with the various eateries
and their menu? Why/Why not?
Many people from our region were satisfied with the various eateries
and their menu, but there were few people expecting better food
joints. Eateries which had an attractive ambience had many more
visiting customers than those eateries whose ambience was poor.
7. 5.Does your school have a canteen/cafeteria? If yes is the
food hygienic? Does it require improvement? Why? If no,
is there a need for one? Why?
Yes, our school has a canteen. yes, the food is hygienic.

8. MAIN QUESTON:
Are there sufficient eateries for all
classes of society in your region?
Currently there are few eateries for all classes of
society in our region, but there is still scope to have
more eateries to serve different classes of society like
Coffee Shops, SubWays, Confectionaries and
Pastries' joints.
9. As a part of our survey we interviewed
the managers and some of the customers
from a few eateries in our region.
12. Conclusion
After conducting the survey, we can conclude that in
general; the customers are satisfied with the prices of the
food items, the hygiene of the place and most
importantly, the quality of food served.
The customers were so satisfied with the restaurant and
the food joint that they would surely recommend those to
their relatives or friends visiting the region for the first
time.
