Layout
The layout is informal because of the use of angled object and text which may make
it appear more interesting to some readers. This is also due to the use of wide
columns where the text has not been aligned. The large image is conventional to a
review because it is more likely to draw people’s attention however it is not placed
on the left, showing the text is the most important feature. Also a positive pull quote
has been included which would further encourage people to read the text to find the
reason it has had the positive comment.
Writing
In this review there is not a separate box that
contains extra details about the movie. Such
as a summary of the plot, certificate and
release date. Having this information straight
away may move the reader towards seeing
the movie. The writing style is informal. For
instance the words “Sound familiar. Well, not
exactly” are very inclusive of the reader. This
would give a positive impression on the
reader as it is entertaining and easy to read.
There are many questions included which
would make the reader think in more detail
about the points made.
