2. How Important do I feel
audience feedback is ?
I think throughout this coursework the
audience feedback has been vital for
the creation of our film trailer as it has
helped us in finding out what is desired
by the consumer and not just what we
want to see in our own trailer.
3. Methods used to gather this
feedback
As a group we used :
A survey (surveymonkey)
Focus group
Showcase
4. How did this helped the
progression of our trailer?
This allowed us to determine what is
wanted to be seen or depicted within a
teen thriller trailer
5. How we translated this
audience feedback?
We used this research to help us
determine our narrative as our focus
group allowed us as a group to see
what typical storylines were used within
teen dramas.
6. For example
A vital time when we received audience
feedback was when we had our
showcase where we received feedback
from our audience which was that they
couldn't clearly depict the inspector
within the trailer
7. How did we act apon this
feedback?
As a group we were blind to this as we
knew the idea behind it however it
made us think and we had to clarify it by
adding flashing blue lights to the image
to highlight the sirens from the police
car.
8. Our questionaire…
Our questionnaire had a huge impact
on our final trailer as we gained an
understanding of what was expected or
wanted by the target audience within
our trailer.
9. For example
we asked our target audience whether
they would like to have instrumental
music or popular chart music. The
response we gained from that was that
they would prefer to have just
instrumental which therefore had a
huge impact as that is what we had
opted with
10. Our focus group…
Our focus group was another great way
to gather an incite into the ideas behind
the target audience as it allowed us to
delve deeper and ask open ended
questions that required a response with
elaboration

This focus group allowed us to
understand what they would like to see
to happen within the narrative as we
understood they want a dark side to the
storyline.
12. Showcase
From the showcase we gathered great
detailed feedback from the audience
that allowed us to see our flaws within
our trailer aswell as the positives

We received comments sucg as ‘it
wasn’t clear enough who each
character was and there relationships
between one another’ which we found
out and soon rectified to increase the
clarity of the storyline.
14. However we also got back some
encouraging feedback such as the
types of shots we had used and the
structure of the trailer also came back
with positive reviews.
15. Why did this feedback help
our trailer?
This helped to see our flaws and also
boast our confidence as a group as at
the beginning it didn’t seem as if it
would come together however both the
positive comments and critisms allowed
our group to be steered in the right way
as well as s to believe we could create
a good quality trailer.
