This document provides guidance on setting up a dual language classroom. It includes tips for arranging the classroom to facilitate cooperative groupings and small group work. It also provides ideas for organizing content-related materials like vocabulary walls and libraries. Suggestions are given for establishing clearly labeled work stations, storage areas for student and teacher materials, and places for students to submit assignments. Behavior management strategies are recommended to be consistent and simple to use across both languages. Other optional areas that could be included are a birthday display, class jobs board, student mailboxes, and inviting work spaces.
