Analysis of the songs "Waiting on a Woman" by Brad...
I have chosen to do two songs waiting on a woman by Brad Presley witch the whole song makes a gender stereotype about woman always making a
man wait. The second song I choose to do is George Straits A fathers Love which enforces it's hard to be a father and what a good strong dad role
model is. Both songs spoke to me in different ways. Sitting' on a bench at West Town Mall: He sat down in his overalls and asked me: You waiting' on a
woman: nodded yeah and said how 'bout you: He said son since nineteen fifty–two I've been: Waiting' on a woman : When I picked her up for our first
date: I told her I'd be there at eight: And she came down the stairs at eight–thirty: She said I'm sorry that I took so long : Didn't like a thing that I tried ...

Out of the six only one would go get something at the store without putting her make up on first and she's the one I fell in love with. When came
time to do something with five of them if we had to be somewhere at six o'clock I would have to tell them it started at five o'clock not to be late. I
know it's a stereotype but seems like woman enforces this stereotype on themselves. What I mean they enforce the stereotype on themselves is I
must look like this supermodel or actor before I am seen in public. When most women to me look good without make up but they think the makeup
makes them look like Cindy Crawford. The Part of song when sings about it taking a year to plan a wedding. I am going throw this right now. I
would not care if we went to the court house and had a wedding. I think she sees as time to show everyone how pretty she is. She has gone out and
spent five thousand on a wedding dress to only be used once. The big church and reception is another five thousand. I keep thinking we could get a
good used car for the price of this wedding. I have seen her yelling at her brides maids for not be able to read her mind. I am still waiting for her to yell
at me. The part of the song when says sometimes she does it "cause she can" bring to mind what an old friend of mine has told me. She makes guys
wait on purpose, especially on her dates, because in her opinion she believes that a man will want her more because he has waited on her and

Run' By George Strait: Music Analysis
Artists write or compose things for a specific reason, usually this is to convey a feeling to the listener or reader. When words are placed with music,
it can change how a person hears or thinks of a song. In the song "Run" by George Strait he creates a feeling of desperation and longing not only with
his lyrics, but also with the melody that goes along with it. Music is powerful, and it can change your attitude towards something just by the sound and
tone of music. By adapting a song into a letter, one can either change the meaning of the whole song or allow it to give the reader the same feeling as
before. I changed George's song into a letter to show how things can be different or the same when you take music out of a piece.. In my adaptation ...

George Straits daughter was killed in a car crash in 1986 when she was just 13. When most people see this song they immediately think that it is a
love song and in a way, it is, but I think that this could maybe not be a song addressed to a significant other but rather to his daughter. This could be
a possibility in his intention for this song. Yes, the song may sound worldly when he is telling her how to get to him, but when he tells her "cut a
path across the blue skies, straight in a straight line you can't get here fast enough." Maybe he is trying to talk to his daughter again and wants her
to seemingly fly down from heaven to him so he can see her once more. This would also explain why he misses her so much, maybe it's his little
girl who died who he is writing to. In many of his other songs George talks about Dallas and always sings about Dallas, perhaps in this song when
he talks about her leaving Dallas to return to him he is thinking of Dallas as his form of heaven. So, he is begging his daughter to come from
Dallas which is his representation of heaven, to come back to him if at all possible. This is the only variation I can think of for the lyrics: instead of the
thought of it being toward his wife or lover it may be for his daughter who passed away in a car

George Strait: The King Of Country Music
George Strait Research Paper
George Strait, better known as the King of Country Music, has been in the country music industry for almost forty years (Hazighurst 12). He has
become one of the most widespread country music singers to this day. He began a long time ago and is still currently going steady today. Strait has
more than sixty number one hits, more than anyone else in history does. George Strait has opened the eyes for country music and has paved the pathway
for other country singers today, all while staying true to the contemporary sound of country music. He is not only known for his amazing music, but he
leaves a legacy behind him, which ensures that he will never be forgotten.

When he was only a small child, his mother took his sister and deserted Strait and his brother with her husband. Strait's musical talents began
developing after he joined a rock and roll garage band. After graduating high school, he enrolled in college, later to drop out and marry his high
school sweetheart, Norma Voss. After marrying Norma in 1971, he enlisted in the Army. Strait was stationed at the Schofield Barracks in Hawaii;
while there he began to play in an army–sponsored, Rambling Country (Langer 1). Still in Hawaii, George and Norma greeted their first born, Jenifer
Lynn, on October 6, 1972. George was honorably discharged from the army in 1975. Following that he and Norma returned to Texas where he went
back to college at Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos (Kidd 4). During college, Strait became a member of "Stoney Ridge," a country
band. He learned of the band while walking around campus one day when he saw a flyer stating the band was looking for a new

Why The Soldiers Might Hurt Me
I'm not concerned that the soldiers might hurt me, I'm more worried that I might accidentally kill one of the soldiers who are just trying to do their
jobs. But I guess it's a little late to be worrying about that now.
From the corner of my eye, I can see that a large crowd, has gathered on the sidewalks. Could one them be a Rebel?
If any of them are I'll need to make this look convining. I turn back to the soldiers to find they've already started to in circle me, stalking me like
some everyday street scavenger. My heart pounds in my chest, and a smile spreads across my lips, as every fiber and nerve ending in my body buzzes
with a surge of adrenaline, snapping my mind into focus.
Well won't they be surprised.
I glance from soldier to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As he screams, I aim a punch at his face. My fist crunches into his nose and blood spurts onto the ground, as he falls to his knees.
What happens next is a blur. I grab the knife by the blade, then whirl around and throw the knife so fast, my shoulder socket burns. The knife hits him
hard in the shoulder, where two seams of the armor meet and he falls hard to the ground.
I turn and head back to the truck, when I hear a gunshot.
The pain is at once sudden and intense, beginning in my side and spreading outward like a wildfire. I clench my teeth to stop the scream in my throat,
and I fall to my knees. I touch my fingers to my side–––and that's when I feel something hot and sticky. I look at my fingers, to see blood dripping onto
the ground.
But how–––the driver. I'd completely forgotten about the driver.
"Make another move, and I'll send the next shot through your brain." a voice says.
I left my head, the headlights of the truck shines behind the soldier, making it impossible to see his face. The soldier steps forward, finger hovering
over the trigger of his gun.
My mind buzzes, as I search desperately for a way out of this. But close my eyes, as I draw a blank. I listen as the soldiers boots stride towards me,
I listen as I hear the sound of the soldiers boots moving towards me.
Suddenly I hear a boom, and I'm thrown back my cheek scraping the pavement. People scream. My

Carried Away By George Strait: Song Analysis
One may ask themselves, what is poetry? Honestly, this question may present an array of varying answers from the audience to which this question
was originally inquired. There are a multitude of different elements to poetry. Before anyone can properly analyze this question, or poetry in general
for that matter, needs to be knowledgeable of these elements in order to have a better understanding of exactly what they are analyzing. Throughout
the course of this paper, the song "Carried away" by George Strait will be analyzed using the knowledge and proper understanding of poetry elements. A
number of poetry elements included throughout the song give strength to the lyrics overall. The specific elements that permeate the song include tone,
similes, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He expresses in this part of the song that no matter how stable he is in life, the object of his affection will always be able to knock him off his feet.
When the love of his life is present, his whole world is swept away. Though not all poems or songs have a strong tone, if one knows what they are
looking for, anyone will be able to depict a set of lyrics or poem and fully understand what the writer is trying to convey to his audience. The next
poetry element that sets itself apart in the lyrics presents itself as a simile. In the line, "Like a feather flyin' high up in the sky on a windy day, I get
carried away." (Strait) Throughout the song, whether through tone, a simile, or other poetry elements, he projects a powerful sense of love and
compassion for his true love. In the previously quoted line, the presence of his love uproots him emotionally with such force that it is compared a
feather being blown away by the wind. This single simile is so robust that it was used in repetition by Strait to close each chorus and to end the

Informative Essay On Rabies
The ravenous disease of rabies is present in all countries except Antarctica ("10 Facts on Rabies"). By looking at what rabies is, how to treat it and
who created the rabies vaccine, one can learn that the rabies virus is very interesting and frightening. Rabies is a virus that belongs to the family
Rhabdoviridae. Rabies can be found everywhere in North America except Hawaii ("Rabies Areas"). Rabies is also throughout the world but this virus
is most common in Africa, Asia, India, Indonesia, Central and South America, and most developing countries ("Rabies Areas"). Another name for
rabies is Hydrophobia which means fear of water and is also a symptom that the infected victim may have while dealing with this virus (Newton 608).

There are plenty of ways to treat this virus and prevent it aswell. If you are bitten by an animal you know or suspect may be carrying the rabies virus
you should immediately clean the wound, apply an antiseptic and finally dress the wound properly by leaving it open and not putting anything over it
("Post–Exposure Treatment"). After you have taken care of the this you are going to need to go to the nearest hospital or medical center
("Post–Exposure Treatment"). Once you arrive a physician will likely clean the wound and decide whether to treat it with antirabies vaccine.
("Communicable Diseases"). If the vaccines are needed you will receive a shot of gamma globulin which will be followed by series of 5 vaccines over
the course of a few weeks ( "Communicable Diseases"). Gamma globulin helps protect your body from the virus while it develops antibodies.
("Post–Exposure Treatment"). If the rabies infection has already settled in the body there is no effective treatment and will likely end with death

Journey's End Essay
The sound of guns firing, screaming men, bombs going off and the casual side conversations in the audience is how Journey's End went. On October
8th I went to go watch the last show run of the play Journey's End directed by Gordon Reinhart and written by R.C. Sherriff at the Danny Peterson
theatre. In Journey's End, there are eleven characters: Captain Hardy, Stanhope, Lieutenant Osborne, Private Mason, Lance corporal "Bert" Broughton,
2nd Lieutenant Raleigh, Trotter, Hibbert, Company Sergeant–Major, the colonel and a German soldier. As I walked into the Morrison center bought

all the members he gets to mention captain Stanhope, Raleigh says, "I know its frightful good luck". At this point, I'm caught wondering why would
Raleigh say that. Raleigh then goes on to tell Osborne that he knows Dennis (Stanhope) from back home and that he actually requested to be in the
same company as Stanhope. Stanhope then finds out that Raleigh is in his company and isn't too pleased that he is. Stanhope goes on to tell Osborne
that he thinks Raleigh is there just to spy on him and report back to his sister. Throughout the play, I start to feel bad for Raleigh just because of the way
Stanhope treats him. Then again Stanhope isn't one of the nicest guys.
It is now Tuesday morning; Trotter is in heaven with the smells of beacon that Mason has cooked for them for breakfast. Trotter brings up how he
enjoys the springtime, throughout the play most of the time he's having a conversation of varies things...mainly because he doesn't really like to talk
about the war. I thought it was kind of sad. Captain Stanhope lets his men know that the wire around the trenches needs to be fixed he

George Harvey Strait was born and bred in the Texas cowboy tradition. He came into the world on May 18, 1952 in Poteet, Texas ("Strait Facts")
and was raised in nearby Pearsall, TX on his family's working cattle ranch, a legacy in the family for over 100 years. His childhood was spent working

the ASCAP Founder's Award (Toczylowski), and won CMA's Entertainer of the Year Award for the second time (Jamik). He also accepted Billboard's
highest accolade, the Legend of Live Award and was honored with the Country Radio Broadcasters Career Achievement Award (Billboard). Regardless
of George Strait's incredible history of recognition and awards, he has always been one of my favorite country music artists. I am a true, long time
fan of traditional country and I love his style in particular because of the dash of honky tonk and swing music that comes with it. My husband has
roots in Texas and we spend quite a bit of time there on vacation. We enjoy the cowboy lifestyle and have always spent our free time enjoying
country music, country two step dancing at the dance hall, being outside horseback riding, attending the rodeo, visiting the county fair and enjoying
the laid back country life. One day we plan on moving back to Texas permanently and in the meantime, George's music makes us feel at home
wherever we are. In addition to the lifestyle George's music keeps alive, he is also very active in charities benefiting America's veterans. This is very
important to me and I

How Climate Affect Eurasia
The Europeans had a climate where they were able to grow productive crops and domesticate animals, creating a surplus of food, freeing some people
from food production to become specialists who were able to create advanced tools and weaponry. Because the Europeans had time, steel, and immunity
to smallpox, due to their exposure to domesticated animals, they could decimate populations, appropriate there resources, and conquer the world. The
first inequality that geography caused was the development of agriculture in areas such as Eurasia, versus the lack of development in places such as
Papua New Guinea. Geographic location changes what crops can grow by affecting the climate of the given area. The climate then affects what plants
can grow ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In order for animals to live in an area, two basic needs have to be met by that location. First, the climate in that area must conform with the climate
the specific species needs to survive. As explained previously, the climate of an area relates to its geographic location. This is why animals such as
polar bears live in Antarctica and Alaska, areas farther from the equator, which have less sunlight and less warmth. The second requirement is that
there has to be food which the animal is able to digest. Animals such as cows, which depend on grass for food, would not be able to live in an arid or
desert–like environment. Grass just isn't going to grow there. This means that areas which have prime conditions for containing domesticable
animals, which just so happened to be Eurasia, have a significant advantage in the form of technological development over areas which don't have
the right climate or the right foods to sustain domesticated animals. Because these animals provided a sustainable source of food, as well as
performing farming tasks such as pulling plows, they gave societies with domesticable animals access to a very important resource, time. With that,
these societies were able to develop concepts such as art and to sustain specialists. Not all animals can be domesticated. They have to be able to
cooperate with humans and make economic sense. In order for a species to be domesticable, it has to have the inclination to not attack or eat humans,
otherwise, the species could be dangerous to domesticate. Along with that comes the ability to actually control the species. A species has to have a
hierarchy–like social structure in order for humans to be able to control a whole pack of animals, which is much more sensible than trying to train
every individual animal. They also need to be economically sensible.

George Strait: Childhood Influences
George Strait Introduction "I want to reach the point where people hear my name and immediately think of real country music ("George Strait

on Strait. He kept working though, and it paid off. George won many awards, was inducted in the Hall of Fame, and kept old country alive when the
"urban country" era started, making him one of the most influential artists of the twentieth century. Childhood Influences George Strait had many

public to avoid any conversations about his daughter (Bego, 1997). Strait has never been the one to seek the spotlight on his private life, and the
death of his daughter was no exception. All of the reporters gave him privacy out of courtesy (Bego, 1997). Strait loved his daughter and did not
want her memory to be ruined by the reporters. That same year, he won the CMA Male Vocalist of the Year award. The award was taken in
Jenifer's honor (George Strait, 2012). Sadly, this was not the only terrible event that would happen to Strait. George's best friend and older brother
died in a hotel in April of 2009. Buddy and George were very close and had done everything together (Teutsch, 2010). Strait would remember Jenifer
and Buddy for the rest of his life, but he would move on as he remembers and mourns them. Currently Doing George Strait had a long, successful
career. But in 2013, Strait went on tour for the last time. He had been touring for 30 years (West, 2013). George enjoyed making music for all those
years, but sometimes it gets tiring. After "The Cowboy Rides Away" tour, George Strait planned to spend time with his wife,

Drake's Passage Is The Worst Ocean On The World
"The ocean that had chased them back and made them flee for the shelter of the ice pack is the worst ocean on the globe."(82) Drake's Passage can
be considered to be "the worst ocean on the globe"(82) by many. This treacherous ocean is an 800 kilometer wide gap between South america's Cape

incredibly dangerous because of its insane winds. On the Beaufort scale is has known to have winds from category 10–123. Drakes passage is
extremely deep. The Average depth being 11,000 feet and the deepest trench going all the way down 15,400 feet4. Drakes passage is known to have

Love Leaves Footprints : George Strait, The King Of...
Generally, people go to extreme lengths to prove their love for one another. For example, a close friend of mine refrained from kissing a girl he
loved through several months of dating to prove the authenticity of his love for her. In the end, the sole kiss he gave her was a first kiss goodbye,
which freed her for another man to pursue her.
Sounds like Nicholas Sparks' next novel, huh? Regardless of how it's shown, love leaves footprints wherever it travels.
George Strait, the king of country music, opened the largest concert in North American history by singing a tribute to our fundamental view of love.

He sings of chasing Emmylou around the house, taking her out in a white limousine, and being in love twenty years later because of the old note.
Okay, I have a confession: this isn't a true story. However, the fanciful tale still leaves you thinking (and singing along).
As humans, we inherit an innate desire for love. The first line in Emmylou's note asks, "Do you love me? Do you wanna be my friend?" Have you
ever wondered why we need community but view ourselves as self–sufficient? While God entirely knows and unconditionally loves each of us, we
signify earning the attention and affection of others – even in precedence to God's from time to time.
Ultimately, love must be evident. The chief glorification of love occurs when it becomes courageously declared. There is a certain level of
intentionality necessary in every loving relationship, which exists to reveal true love.
While love delights in words, it is most evidently declared in action. As Bob Goff coined the poignant phrase, "Simply put, love does."
Believing God loves us unconditionally is right. But, what if we lived like He does? It's easy to say, "I believe!" We believe healthy nutrition is
good for us, but what did we decide to eat today? While we believe eight hours of sleep restores our bodies, we constantly fall short of this
benchmark. For many of us, believing truly is a good thing, but there lies a clear distinction between understanding God is good and

The Soldier 's Return By Robert Burns
Born in rural Ayrshire in 1759, Robert Burns grew up in a small home with his large family. By the age of twenty

form of writing. In the midst of his success, Burns was treated as a national celebrity in Scotland. All of his sudden fame was credited to him being the
first poet known to stay true to his beliefs, whether he was expressing his principles through writing or living faithfully by them. One of the topics that
Robert Burns enjoyed to comment on through his poems is the urge for independent liberties that came as a result from the fight for freedom
(Crawford 6). Burns writes "The Soldier's Return" in 1793, which portrays all of his thoughts towards the mistreatment of soldiers. The poem ... Show

just seemed like a natural thing to want to do... I've never really thought why I began, I just loved music !!
2. Which instruments do you play?
I play guitar and piano, I learnt guitar first when I was 10 and piano later when I started producing. Electronic music and the process of writing is

9. Describe your first instrument. Other instruments.
My first Guitar was a Fender Strat model but a fake one, we couldn't afford the real thing. I played that for years and eventually got a Gibson Les Paul
and these days play a Fender Telecaster (a real one now) and have a Maton acoustic guitar! Piano wise, apart fro a few second–hand organs I sal–vaged
from junk piles... I have only ever owned midi keyboards...
10. What are your fondest musical memories? In your house? In your neighborhood or town?
Basically, every awesome memory I have involves music... But things like my first band (which was called Two Odd Socks ha), we use to jam in my

The cold, south wind screamed and smashed at the soldier's face. The sky was covered with tumultuous, dark clouds cunningly moving closer to each
other before releasing a sudden shower. A scar of radiant light illuminated the pagan–black sky and a thunder approached with an aggressive pace. The
battlefield had turned into a theatre of death, filled up with groaning and bawling sounds, as the soil became slippery with sludge.
The soldier found himself surrounded by haunting cries of pain. His heart was pounding rapidly against his rib cage as he ran across the muddy field.
His breath was trapped within his lungs, struggling to escape the prison of his broad chest. His spiky brown hair was covered in mud and the long scar
on his forehead made youth and innocence seem like a distant dream, far too impossible to reach. The soldier's teeth chattered and his spine tingled in
fear, while cold sweat was rolling down his forehead and onto his pale cheeks. His dark khaki uniform battling against his wearied body had turned
his skin raw. Drops of terror filled the soldier's deep blue eyes, eager to run down his ashen face, as if realizing the danger and searching for an escape
route that could never come into sight. As he stumbled across the sodden earth, head–clasping images of horror overflowed his veins with poignant
misery.

The Nomadic And Nomadic Groups
The Beringians were a nomadic group. The nomadic tendencies made these groups of people travel to regions that was not discovered yet. This region
would later be known as North America. According to Berkin et al. Miller, Cherny, Gormly, Egerton, and Woestman, three distinct groups were known
to have become the first North Americans. Those groups were Paleo–Indians(30,000–40,000 B.C.E), Na–Dene (10,000–11,000 B.C.E), and the
Eskimos. The purpose of the natives' travels was a basic way of living. The natives were known as hunter–gatherers. According to Merriam–Webster, a
hunter–gatherer is a way of life that consisted of fishing and hunting. This style of living continued once they reached the new land, however the others
began to settle and learned how to farm. Hunter–gatherers are considered to also be nomadic. A nomad is someone or a group of people who travel
consistently, only stopping at each place for a short amount of time (Merriam–Webster.com). The food source was the whole reason for their habits.
The lifestyle was also used as a way to provide shelter and food for a tribe. Therefore, this was the only way of life that the natives knew of before
discovering agriculture. The Beringians are considered to be the first humans to step foot onto America (Hanson 2014). The natives are the reason
behind American history. It is documented proof that they, the natives, were the first people to step foot on American soil. Many people connected

The Things They Carried Essay
In The Things They Carried, every soldier carried something different; different equipment, different memories, and different guilt. Their equipment
would change as they travelled through the book, but one common thing that the soldiers would all be forced to carry is the weight of losing one of
their own. Though it might weight differently from man to man, changing depending on how well they knew the soldier, it is a weight they all felt.
Though several soldiers died in The Things They Carried, the loss of a soldier named Kiowa was different from the others. But why? What impact did
Kiowa have in The Things They Carried, and why did his death affect the other characters differently than the previous deaths in the novel? To better...

was thinking how fast it was, no drama, down and dead, and how it was hard to feel anything except surprise. It seemed unchristian. He wished he
could find some great sadness, or even anger, but the emotion wasn't there and he couldn't make it happen. Mostly he felt pleased to be alive. He
liked the smell of the New Testament under his cheek, the leather and ink and paper and glue, whatever the chemicals were. He liked hearing the
sounds of night. Even his fatigue, it felt fine, the stiff muscles and the prickly awareness of his own body, a floating feeling. He enjoyed not being
dead. Lying there, Kiowa admired Lieutenant Jimmy Cross's capacity for grief. He wanted to share the man's pain, he wanted to care as Jimmy Cross
cared. And yet when he closed his eyes, all he could think was Boom–down, and all he could feel was the pleasure of having his boots off and the fog
curling in around him and the damp soil and the Bible smells and the plush comfort of night. (O'Brien, 17–18)"

2.Know the background of her first name – Taylor? One fine day, it was her mother Andrea who came up with (and coined) the first name 'Taylor'
after the singer James Taylor. Why did she do that, you may ask? Andrea– the mother of Taylor Swift thought it to be a gender–neutral name which
would get her daughter the success and recognition in life. This wish was granted and fulfilled by Almighty. As a result of which, Taylor Swift was
born to the world as a singer, as a global superstar.

Reflection Paper On Becoming A Nurse
What I'm Looking Forward To
My goal in life is to continue my education towards becoming a labor and delivery nurse. As an elementary aged little girl, I'd sway back and forth
on what I wanted to be when I grew up. One day, I wanted to be a firefighter and the next day I'd decided that I wanted to be a sign language
interpreter, which were both my parent's professions. Anything to be like mom and dad! I ran around the house with my fisher price stethoscope and
first–aid kit and asked if I could check–up on anyone and everyone. Nowadays, when I think of who a nurse would be, it is exactly what fits my
personality. A calming, comforting friend to whomever they are around. I am passionate about helpingpeople, and love the health aspect of the medical
field. Growing up, I was heavily influenced by nurses in my family who talked highly of their profession. Their lifestyles of working and having
families of their own at the same time could be achieved. Flexibility in schedules, comradery in the workplace and comfortable attire were surface
level perks as I began my research into this career. When my grandpa got admitted into the hospital this fall after a heart attack however, my idea of
why I wanted to go into this profession shifted. Emotions were flooding and at an all time high as I quickly wanted to help in any way possible. I
felt helpless and was so grateful for the nurse who stayed by his side aiding him in anything and everything. The one thing in my life I

Homecoming: Redeployment By Phil Klay
Homecoming In Phil Klay's short story, "Redeployment" the reader is introduced to a, "dog person" who after a tour in Iraq, is adjusting to life
back on US soil. This whole story in itself speaks upon a topic in which most people are not used to hearing that is the soldier's return home rather
than the fighting on the battlefield after losing his best friend was KIA. Klay allows the reader to see the thoughts of a man who a week ago was
on guard at every moment, for if he was not then one of his men or himself would be dead, return to a life of sitting at home with his dog, watching
tv, and going shopping with his wife. The simple yet powerful statement of , "Getting back feels like your first breath after nearly drowning."
(Klay, 2014, p. 9), shows how much this man has just gone through. I mean after living in fear every single day for almost a year, to being back at
home as if nothing has happened is unimaginable. He then goes on to express how can he walk around an area to go shopping around people who
have lived their lives at white (safety) and have no idea what it is like to be at orange, full of fire fights, explosions, and death all around you. Then
he goes on to kill his sick dog because he would rather do it than paying some doctor to do it instead. In being the hell he has been in after losing his
best friend in Iraq then having to lose "man's best friend" back at home one can fathom the pain the man is feeling. By the end of the story as a reader

Success Is Within The Individual Mind And Expectations
Success
Success is within the individual mind and expectations. The definition of success differs from just one person's interpretation of what success
means. A large block of life is spent working to become successful: acquiring an education, being able to take care of family, achieving a life's
ambition, or making money. People are told throughout childhood to work hard so they can grow up and make lots of money. Everyone aspires to be
successful at whatever we are doing: starting a new business, repairing the car, writing a term paper or practicing basketball. Every bit our efforts are
directed at achieving success. Success is not the end; it is the journey we take and there is no right or wrong idea of success.
Money is the primary concern for some people and the main ingredient for anyone who is trying to succeed in life. For this type of person, achieving
success starts with going to a good college to compete in a competitive job market and to prepare people to take on the world. People work hard to
make money so they can satisfy their desires. People dream about owning a home and take pride in what they possess. Some need to appear
successful in order to feel successful. These people feel accomplished when they can admire what their hard work has given them.
For some, happiness is all that matters. Happiness is achieved in many ways, and it does not always involve money. A person can feel successful
without a lot of money, at all. For example, feeling loved is

The History of Indigenous Peoples in America Essay
The History of Indigenous Peoples in America
Native American is the term used for the indigenous peoples of North America who first migrated to this area thousands of years ago. The term Native
American actually includes several tribes, states, and ethnic groups some of which are still recognized in today's modern society. Most of the scientific
world agrees that the first indigenous peoples crossed the Bering Straight by way of Siberia about 12,000 years ago.
The precise route that the first immigrants traveled on is still under a matter of controversy. Some academics believed that the peoples traveled near the
coast on foot following game which they needed to hunt in order to survive. Others believe these "Native Americans" could ... Show more content on

The Clovis vs. Pre–Clovis debate and the history of Beringia are closely related. The exact time at which the land bridge existed is being contested
by many knowledgeable scholars and without the land bridge the theory the Clovis, New Mexico settlement is null and void. Before I delve into the
legitimacy of the land bridge I wish to explain a little about the Clovis/Pre–Clovis controversy.
An archaeological site was found in a small town called Clovis, New Mexico. Scientists date this site as being the earliest of settlements of America
and find that the tools recovered are most closely linked with the individuals who would've migrated across the Beringia Land Bridge. It has been
believed for a long time that these "Clovis" people are the bed rock for future migrations primarily from the north in a southern direction. Scientists
who believe this are regarded as "Clovis Police" and they hold strong to this opinion even as new research and evidence expose alternate possibilities
(Earles, Alternate Migration Routes to America).
The Pre–Clovis side of the argument deals with recent findings of sites across America that apparently predate the Clovis, New Mexico settlement.
Basically stating that it isn't possible that Clovis is the basis for further movements because there were previous migrations to other areas. This entire
debate is subjective and really depends on whether or not you believe the migrations took

a hundred songs and continues to write music today. He did have a few of his big hits like Pop a Top or Write on the Money written for him, but for
the most part Alan has written most of his content. So what are these two country legends, Alan Jackson andGeorge Strait, doing as of 2016? Both have

My Most Memorable Experience
When we could get everyone rounded up and on the same schedule, my parents, brothers and I would pack up and go on our one "big" vacation of
the summer. When I was8 one, we went to Mount Rushmore and witnessed the fireworks display. At the age of two, we were at the "grandaddy"
of them all, Cheyenne Frontier Days. In 2003, I was three, we went spelunking in caves to explore Ruby Fall, Tennesse. I remember nothing about
these vacations, except what I was told years later about them. However, when I was the ripe young age of four, my family went on vacation to
Upper Peninsula Michigan. That vacation is, to this day, my favorite one we ever took. This is probably due to it being the very first vacation that
I can actually remember. Over the years we have traveled to many different places, but the vacation to Michigan is by far my most memorable
experience. The events that occurred on this trip instilled a sense of adventure and curiosity into me. When we traveled, we did not fly, go by
train, or stay in a fancy hotel. Nope, not my family. We drove everywhere, even all the way up to Michigan. We were in a truck that seated exactly
six people, not necessarily a comfortable experience. In addition to all of that, we stayed in our camper for the whole vacation, practically living on
top of each other. Good thing that we really love each other, huh? The trip was during the first week of July, so on the Fourth of July my parents
decided that we would go to the Soo Locks in Sault

Living The American Dream Act
For many people today, living the American dream is as simple as waking up. Many young adults do not have to worry about deportation from the
only country they have known as home. Nonetheless, 7.6% of the population in North Carolina's school system is the sons or daughters of illegal
immigrants and lack a legal status (Strauss). With the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act (DREAM Act) many of those young
adults will be able to become American citizens. By passing the DREAM Act, this will allow for many of those young adults to attend a university,
earn a taxable living, and purchase a home. The time to start thinking about a university is about the time a student enters the ninth grade. Unless that
student is not a legal citizen, then the choices become very limited. Without the DREAM Act, being able to attend a university becomes almost
impossible. It is because most universities ask for proof of residency before allowing the student to attend. This can be very discouraging for the
illegal students and become the reason for dropping out of high school before receiving a diploma. Only two and a half percent of the 31,000 illegal
students will not graduate from high school ("CLOSING THE GAP..."). However, opponents of the DREAM Act, believe that by allowing illegal
immigrants to attend universities; they would be taking sits from legal residents. This would put an unnecessary strain on the already overcrowded
universities. This would also deplete the

One day, Johnny was walking home from school when he brushed by a man in a cloak. "Hey, watch out next time, dickhead!" Johnny had yelled at
the man, but this had caused the man to turn around and take off his hood to reveal a grotesque and scarred face. This had caused Johnny to stumble
back before having a strange, white powder blown into his face by the old man, causing him to fall unconscious. An all black van had pulled up
beside the two, and out came three men, dressed in black suits and red ties, who would pick up the unconscious Johnny and carry him to the van.
Where the van was headed, no one knew and no one wanted to know.
When they arrived, Johnny was slowly regaining consciousness, before awaking to being strapped ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The last soldier looked at Johnny before picking up his rifle and shooting at him, but then was shot quickly by Johnny. "Alright, now back to you."
Johnny said before looking to see Dr. Alistrate disappeared. "Oh, are you fucking me?" Johnny said with frustration before walking through the lab
and seeing the armory, "Well, what do we have here?" Johnny said before his smile quickly turned into anger, "Let's get this party

Why Country Music is better than Rap
In the world today, music has become a big influence on everyone. With the power of music, each person has the ability to accomplish goals even
if the music is country or rap. Most people believe that music can change a person's mood or behavior which is true. Without music people could not
control the way they act. Most music has the power to affect a person's mood and other music can get them out of control. If music did not exist the
world would be tedious. Without having music, people would not be able to motivate their moods. With the magic of music all people tend to have
clear minds and better spirits. Music has the ability to put a smile on their face and a special song in their hearts. Even though most people feel
confident about a special song, this can change their mind about how country music is better than rap music. When listening to country music, people
tend to get excited and be in a better mood. All country songs have the ability to express a feeling of what the song is about. With the power of rap
music people cannot express the way they feel. Country music can allow each individual to achieve more goals in life. If someone is having a bad
day or just feeling down and out they can listen to country music and it can change their mood right then and there. Most people that listen to rap
probably feel about the same as they did before. This is because the rap music cannot control feelings like country music can do. People pretty much
can listen to

The Worst Ocean On The World : Drake's Passage
It's "the worst ocean on the globe." (82) It can be truly terrifying. Drake's Passage is an 800 kilometer wide gap located between the tip of South
America (Cape Horn) and the islands at the end of the Antarctic Peninsula. It is the shortest crossing between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Once
key aspect about Drake's Passage is that "There is no significant land anywhere around the world at the latitudes of Drake Passage." This means that
there is nothing to stop or slow down the movement of water as it travels around the Antarctic. Because of the land at the tip of South America and at
the end of the Antarctic Peninsula, Drake's Passage becomes a bottleneck for the waves travelling east. Following the common tradition of designating
geographical locations after early adventurers, the passage itself was named for Sir Francis Drake, an explorer that successfully navigated the Strait of
Magellan in 1578, although it did cost him four of his ships in return. After navigating the Strait of Magellan, his remaining ship, the Golden Hind, was
blown way off to the south which led Sir Drake to realize that there was a route further south that was open for ships. Amazingly, it would not be until
1616 when a Dutch navigator by the name of Willem Schouten would successfully travel through Drake's Passage. Even today, with all our technology
and advancements, Drake's Passage remains a perilous section for ships because of its unquestioningly harsh environment.
What exactly

Analysis Of The Songs &Quot;Waiting On A Woman&Quot; By Brad...

  • 1. Analysis of the songs "Waiting on a Woman" by Brad... I have chosen to do two songs waiting on a woman by Brad Presley witch the whole song makes a gender stereotype about woman always making a man wait. The second song I choose to do is George Straits A fathers Love which enforces it's hard to be a father and what a good strong dad role model is. Both songs spoke to me in different ways. Sitting' on a bench at West Town Mall: He sat down in his overalls and asked me: You waiting' on a woman: nodded yeah and said how 'bout you: He said son since nineteen fifty–two I've been: Waiting' on a woman : When I picked her up for our first date: I told her I'd be there at eight: And she came down the stairs at eight–thirty: She said I'm sorry that I took so long : Didn't like a thing that I tried ... When came time to do something with five of them if we had to be somewhere at six o'clock I would have to tell them it started at five o'clock not to be late. I know it's a stereotype but seems like woman enforces this stereotype on themselves. What I mean they enforce the stereotype on themselves is I must look like this supermodel or actor before I am seen in public. When most women to me look good without make up but they think the makeup makes them look like Cindy Crawford. The Part of song when sings about it taking a year to plan a wedding. I am going throw this right now. I would not care if we went to the court house and had a wedding. I think she sees as time to show everyone how pretty she is. She has gone out and spent five thousand on a wedding dress to only be used once. The big church and reception is another five thousand. I keep thinking we could get a good used car for the price of this wedding. I have seen her yelling at her brides maids for not be able to read her mind. I am still waiting for her to yell at me. The part of the song when says sometimes she does it "cause she can" bring to mind what an old friend of mine has told me. She makes guys wait on purpose, especially on her dates, because in her opinion she believes that a man will want her more because he has waited on her and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. Run' By George Strait: Music Analysis Artists write or compose things for a specific reason, usually this is to convey a feeling to the listener or reader. When words are placed with music, it can change how a person hears or thinks of a song. In the song "Run" by George Strait he creates a feeling of desperation and longing not only with his lyrics, but also with the melody that goes along with it. Music is powerful, and it can change your attitude towards something just by the sound and tone of music. By adapting a song into a letter, one can either change the meaning of the whole song or allow it to give the reader the same feeling as before. I changed George's song into a letter to show how things can be different or the same when you take music out of a piece.. In my adaptation ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... George Straits daughter was killed in a car crash in 1986 when she was just 13. When most people see this song they immediately think that it is a love song and in a way, it is, but I think that this could maybe not be a song addressed to a significant other but rather to his daughter. This could be a possibility in his intention for this song. Yes, the song may sound worldly when he is telling her how to get to him, but when he tells her "cut a path across the blue skies, straight in a straight line you can't get here fast enough." Maybe he is trying to talk to his daughter again and wants her to seemingly fly down from heaven to him so he can see her once more. This would also explain why he misses her so much, maybe it's his little girl who died who he is writing to. In many of his other songs George talks about Dallas and always sings about Dallas, perhaps in this song when he talks about her leaving Dallas to return to him he is thinking of Dallas as his form of heaven. So, he is begging his daughter to come from Dallas which is his representation of heaven, to come back to him if at all possible. This is the only variation I can think of for the lyrics: instead of the thought of it being toward his wife or lover it may be for his daughter who passed away in a car ... Strait's musical talents began developing after he joined a rock and roll garage band. After graduating high school, he enrolled in college, later to drop out and marry his high school sweetheart, Norma Voss. After marrying Norma in 1971, he enlisted in the Army. Following that he and Norma returned to Texas where he went back to college at Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos (Kidd 4). But I guess it's a little late to be worrying about that now. From the corner of my eye, I can see that a large crowd, has gathered on the sidewalks. Could one them be a Rebel? If any of them are I'll need to make this look convining. I turn back to the soldiers to find they've already started to in circle me, stalking me like some everyday street scavenger. The knife hits him hard in the shoulder, where two seams of the armor meet and he falls hard to the ground. I turn and head back to the truck, when I hear a gunshot. The pain is at once sudden and intense, beginning in my side and spreading outward like a wildfire. I clench my teeth to stop the scream in my throat, and I fall to my knees. I touch my fingers to my side–––and that's when I feel something hot and sticky. I look at my fingers, to see blood dripping onto the ground. But how–––the driver. • 5. Carried Away By George Strait: Song Analysis One may ask themselves, what is poetry? Honestly, this question may present an array of varying answers from the audience to which this question was originally inquired. There are a multitude of different elements to poetry. Before anyone can properly analyze this question, or poetry in general for that matter, needs to be knowledgeable of these elements in order to have a better understanding of exactly what they are analyzing. A number of poetry elements included throughout the song give strength to the lyrics overall. The specific elements that permeate the song include tone, similes, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He expresses in this part of the song that no matter how stable he is in life, the object of his affection will always be able to knock him off his feet. When the love of his life is present, his whole world is swept away. Though not all poems or songs have a strong tone, if one knows what they are looking for, anyone will be able to depict a set of lyrics or poem and fully understand what the writer is trying to convey to his audience. The next poetry element that sets itself apart in the lyrics presents itself as a simile. In the line, "Like a feather flyin' high up in the sky on a windy day, I get carried away." By looking at what rabies is, how to treat it and who created the rabies vaccine, one can learn that the rabies virus is very interesting and frightening. Rabies is a virus that belongs to the family Rhabdoviridae. Rabies can be found everywhere in North America except Hawaii ("Rabies Areas"). Rabies is also throughout the world but this virus is most common in Africa, Asia, India, Indonesia, Central and South America, and most developing countries ("Rabies Areas"). If you are bitten by an animal you know or suspect may be carrying the rabies virus you should immediately clean the wound, apply an antiseptic and finally dress the wound properly by leaving it open and not putting anything over it ("Post–Exposure Treatment"). After you have taken care of the this you are going to need to go to the nearest hospital or medical center ("Post–Exposure Treatment"). Once you arrive a physician will likely clean the wound and decide whether to treat it with antirabies vaccine. ("Communicable Diseases"). If the vaccines are needed you will receive a shot of gamma globulin which will be followed by series of 5 vaccines over the course of a few weeks ( "Communicable Diseases"). Gamma globulin helps protect your body from the virus while it develops antibodies. ("Post–Exposure Treatment"). On October 8th I went to go watch the last show run of the play Journey's End directed by Gordon Reinhart and written by R.C. Sherriff at the Danny Peterson theatre. He came into the world on May 18, 1952 in Poteet, Texas ("Strait Facts") and was raised in nearby Pearsall, TX on his family's working cattle ranch, a legacy in the family for over 100 years. • 9. How Climate Affect Eurasia The Europeans had a climate where they were able to grow productive crops and domesticate animals, creating a surplus of food, freeing some people from food production to become specialists who were able to create advanced tools and weaponry. Because the Europeans had time, steel, and immunity to smallpox, due to their exposure to domesticated animals, they could decimate populations, appropriate there resources, and conquer the world. The first inequality that geography caused was the development of agriculture in areas such as Eurasia, versus the lack of development in places such as Papua New Guinea. Geographic location changes what crops can grow by affecting the climate of the given area. The climate then affects what plants can grow ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In order for animals to live in an area, two basic needs have to be met by that location. First, the climate in that area must conform with the climate the specific species needs to survive. As explained previously, the climate of an area relates to its geographic location. This is why animals such as polar bears live in Antarctica and Alaska, areas farther from the equator, which have less sunlight and less warmth. The second requirement is that there has to be food which the animal is able to digest. Animals such as cows, which depend on grass for food, would not be able to live in an arid or desert–like environment. Grass just isn't going to grow there. This means that areas which have prime conditions for containing domesticable animals, which just so happened to be Eurasia, have a significant advantage in the form of technological development over areas which don't have the right climate or the right foods to sustain domesticated animals. Because these animals provided a sustainable source of food, as well as performing farming tasks such as pulling plows, they gave societies with domesticable animals access to a very important resource, time. With that, these societies were able to develop concepts such as art and to sustain specialists. Not all animals can be domesticated. They have to be able to cooperate with humans and make economic sense. In order for a species to be domesticable, it has to have the inclination to not attack or eat humans, otherwise, the species could be dangerous to domesticate. Along with that comes the ability to actually control the species. A species has to have a hierarchy–like social structure in order for humans to be able to control a whole pack of animals, which is much more sensible than trying to train every individual animal. They also need to be economically sensible. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

For example, a close friend of mine refrained from kissing a girl he loved through several months of dating to prove the authenticity of his love for her. In the end, the sole kiss he gave her was a first kiss goodbye, which freed her for another man to pursue her. Sounds like Nicholas Sparks' next novel, huh? He sings of chasing Emmylou around the house, taking her out in a white limousine, and being in love twenty years later because of the old note. Okay, I have a confession: this isn't a true story. However, the fanciful tale still leaves you thinking (and singing along). As humans, we inherit an innate desire for love. The first line in Emmylou's note asks, "Do you love me? Do you wanna be my friend?" Have you ever wondered why we need community but view ourselves as self–sufficient? While God entirely knows and unconditionally loves each of us, we signify earning the attention and affection of others – even in precedence to God's from time to time. Ultimately, love must be evident. The chief glorification of love occurs when it becomes courageously declared. There is a certain level of intentionality necessary in every loving relationship, which exists to reveal true love. While love delights in words, it is most evidently declared in action. As Bob Goff coined the poignant phrase, "Simply put, love does." Believing God loves us unconditionally is right. But, what if we lived like He does? It's easy to say, "I believe!" We believe healthy nutrition is good for us, but what did we decide to eat today? While we believe eight hours of sleep restores our bodies, we constantly fall short of this benchmark. This region would later be known as North America. According to Berkin et al. Miller, Cherny, Gormly, Egerton, and Woestman, three distinct groups were known to have become the first North Americans. Those groups were Paleo–Indians(30,000–40,000 B.C.E), Na–Dene (10,000–11,000 B.C.E), and the Eskimos. The purpose of the natives' travels was a basic way of living. And yet when he closed his eyes, all he could think was Boom–down, and all he could feel was the pleasure of having his boots off and the fog curling in around him and the damp soil and the Bible smells and the plush comfort of night. As an elementary aged little girl, I'd sway back and forth on what I wanted to be when I grew up. One day, I wanted to be a firefighter and the next day I'd decided that I wanted to be a sign language interpreter, which were both my parent's professions. Anything to be like mom and dad! I ran around the house with my fisher price stethoscope and first–aid kit and asked if I could check–up on anyone and everyone. Nowadays, when I think of who a nurse would be, it is exactly what fits my personality. A calming, comforting friend to whomever they are around. I am passionate about helpingpeople, and love the health aspect of the medical field. Growing up, I was heavily influenced by nurses in my family who talked highly of their profession. Their lifestyles of working and having families of their own at the same time could be achieved. Flexibility in schedules, comradery in the workplace and comfortable attire were surface level perks as I began my research into this career. When my grandpa got admitted into the hospital this fall after a heart attack however, my idea of why I wanted to go into this profession shifted. This whole story in itself speaks upon a topic in which most people are not used to hearing that is the soldier's return home rather than the fighting on the battlefield after losing his best friend was KIA. Klay allows the reader to see the thoughts of a man who a week ago was on guard at every moment, for if he was not then one of his men or himself would be dead, return to a life of sitting at home with his dog, watching tv, and going shopping with his wife. The simple yet powerful statement of , "Getting back feels like your first breath after nearly drowning." (Klay, 2014, p. 9), shows how much this man has just gone through. I mean after living in fear every single day for almost a year, to being back at home as if nothing has happened is unimaginable. He then goes on to express how can he walk around an area to go shopping around people who have lived their lives at white (safety) and have no idea what it is like to be at orange, full of fire fights, explosions, and death all around you. Then he goes on to kill his sick dog because he would rather do it than paying some doctor to do it instead. • 34. Success Is Within The Individual Mind And Expectations Success Success is within the individual mind and expectations. The definition of success differs from just one person's interpretation of what success means. A large block of life is spent working to become successful: acquiring an education, being able to take care of family, achieving a life's ambition, or making money. People are told throughout childhood to work hard so they can grow up and make lots of money. Everyone aspires to be successful at whatever we are doing: starting a new business, repairing the car, writing a term paper or practicing basketball. Every bit our efforts are directed at achieving success. Success is not the end; it is the journey we take and there is no right or wrong idea of success. Money is the primary concern for some people and the main ingredient for anyone who is trying to succeed in life. For this type of person, achieving success starts with going to a good college to compete in a competitive job market and to prepare people to take on the world. People work hard to make money so they can satisfy their desires. People dream about owning a home and take pride in what they possess. Some need to appear successful in order to feel successful. These people feel accomplished when they can admire what their hard work has given them. For some, happiness is all that matters. Happiness is achieved in many ways, and it does not always involve money. A person can feel successful without a lot of money, at all. For example, feeling loved is ... The term Native American actually includes several tribes, states, and ethnic groups some of which are still recognized in today's modern society. Most of the scientific world agrees that the first indigenous peoples crossed the Bering Straight by way of Siberia about 12,000 years ago. The precise route that the first immigrants traveled on is still under a matter of controversy. Some academics believed that the peoples traveled near the coast on foot following game which they needed to hunt in order to survive. Others believe these "Native Americans" could ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Clovis vs. Pre–Clovis debate and the history of Beringia are closely related. The exact time at which the land bridge existed is being contested by many knowledgeable scholars and without the land bridge the theory the Clovis, New Mexico settlement is null and void. Before I delve into the legitimacy of the land bridge I wish to explain a little about the Clovis/Pre–Clovis controversy. An archaeological site was found in a small town called Clovis, New Mexico. Scientists date this site as being the earliest of settlements of America and find that the tools recovered are most closely linked with the individuals who would've migrated across the Beringia Land Bridge. It has been believed for a long time that these "Clovis" people are the bed rock for future migrations primarily from the north in a southern direction. Scientists who believe this are regarded as "Clovis Police" and they hold strong to this opinion even as new research and evidence expose alternate possibilities (Earles, Alternate Migration Routes to America). The Pre–Clovis side of the argument deals with recent findings of sites across America that apparently predate the Clovis, New Mexico settlement. Basically stating that it isn't possible that Clovis is the basis for further movements because there were previous migrations to other areas. This entire debate is subjective and really depends on whether or not you believe the migrations took ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In 2003, I was three, we went spelunking in caves to explore Ruby Fall, Tennesse. I remember nothing about these vacations, except what I was told years later about them. However, when I was the ripe young age of four, my family went on vacation to Upper Peninsula Michigan. That vacation is, to this day, my favorite one we ever took. This is probably due to it being the very first vacation that I can actually remember. Over the years we have traveled to many different places, but the vacation to Michigan is by far my most memorable experience. The events that occurred on this trip instilled a sense of adventure and curiosity into me. When we traveled, we did not fly, go by train, or stay in a fancy hotel. Nope, not my family. We drove everywhere, even all the way up to Michigan. We were in a truck that seated exactly six people, not necessarily a comfortable experience. In addition to all of that, we stayed in our camper for the whole vacation, practically living on top of each other. Good thing that we really love each other, huh? • 38. Living The American Dream Act For many people today, living the American dream is as simple as waking up. Many young adults do not have to worry about deportation from the only country they have known as home. Nonetheless, 7.6% of the population in North Carolina's school system is the sons or daughters of illegal immigrants and lack a legal status (Strauss). With the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act (DREAM Act) many of those young adults will be able to become American citizens. By passing the DREAM Act, this will allow for many of those young adults to attend a university, earn a taxable living, and purchase a home. The time to start thinking about a university is about the time a student enters the ninth grade. Unless that student is not a legal citizen, then the choices become very limited. Without the DREAM Act, being able to attend a university becomes almost impossible. It is because most universities ask for proof of residency before allowing the student to attend. This can be very discouraging for the illegal students and become the reason for dropping out of high school before receiving a diploma. Only two and a half percent of the 31,000 illegal students will not graduate from high school ("CLOSING THE GAP..."). However, opponents of the DREAM Act, believe that by allowing illegal immigrants to attend universities; they would be taking sits from legal residents. This would put an unnecessary strain on the already overcrowded universities. This would also deplete the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

With the power of music, each person has the ability to accomplish goals even if the music is country or rap. Most people believe that music can change a person's mood or behavior which is true. Without music people could not control the way they act. Most music has the power to affect a person's mood and other music can get them out of control. If music did not exist the world would be tedious. Without having music, people would not be able to motivate their moods. With the magic of music all people tend to have clear minds and better spirits. Music has the ability to put a smile on their face and a special song in their hearts. Even though most people feel confident about a special song, this can change their mind about how country music is better than rap music. When listening to country music, people tend to get excited and be in a better mood. All country songs have the ability to express a feeling of what the song is about. With the power of rap music people cannot express the way they feel. Country music can allow each individual to achieve more goals in life. If someone is having a bad day or just feeling down and out they can listen to country music and it can change their mood right then and there. • 42. The Worst Ocean On The World : Drake's Passage It's "the worst ocean on the globe." (82) It can be truly terrifying. Drake's Passage is an 800 kilometer wide gap located between the tip of South America (Cape Horn) and the islands at the end of the Antarctic Peninsula. It is the shortest crossing between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Once key aspect about Drake's Passage is that "There is no significant land anywhere around the world at the latitudes of Drake Passage." This means that there is nothing to stop or slow down the movement of water as it travels around the Antarctic. Because of the land at the tip of South America and at the end of the Antarctic Peninsula, Drake's Passage becomes a bottleneck for the waves travelling east. Following the common tradition of designating geographical locations after early adventurers, the passage itself was named for Sir Francis Drake, an explorer that successfully navigated the Strait of Magellan in 1578, although it did cost him four of his ships in return. After navigating the Strait of Magellan, his remaining ship, the Golden Hind, was blown way off to the south which led Sir Drake to realize that there was a route further south that was open for ships. Amazingly, it would not be until 1616 when a Dutch navigator by the name of Willem Schouten would successfully travel through Drake's Passage. Even today, with all our technology and advancements, Drake's Passage remains a perilous section for ships because of its unquestioningly harsh environment. What exactly ...
