Arguments Against Exclusionary Rule
According to Merriam Webster Dictionary, the exclusionary rule is a legal rule that bars unlawfully
obtained evidence from being used in court proceedings [1].The exclusionary rule prevents the
government from using evidence that was obtained in an illegal or unconstitutional manner. This
includes evidence gathered from an unreasonable search or seizure. Any evidence which falls under
the exclusionary rule; that leads to the ´finding of further evidence will also be excluded. The initial
evidence, and subsequent evidence will not be used in the trial. The exclusionary rule is a remedy, not
an individual constitutional right. It will deter police from conducting searches in violation of the
Fourth Amendment [2]. The exclusionary rule also protects defendants from self incrimination. This
rule protects against recordings of a confession, if it was gathered in violation of the federal
wiretapping statute. The exclusionary rule also protects the defendant when evidence is gathered in
violation of their Sixth Amendment right to counsel [3].
In using the exclusionary rule, law enforcement would have to commit an illegal action. They must

It is the right of every citizen, not to be forced to talk to law enforcement officers or the courts, if it
self incriminates the person that is being questioned. At trial, the Fifth Amendment gives a criminal
defendant the right not to testify.[7] Basically, what this means is that the prosecutor, the judge, and
even the defendant s own lawyer cannot force the defendant to take the witness stand if he or she is
not willing to do so to begin with. On the other hand, if a defendant does choose to testify he or she
cannot pick and choose the question that they would like to answer. Once the defendant takes the
witness stand, this particular Fifth Amendment right is considered waived throughout the

The Quiet American Essay
The Quiet American
The film The Quiet American takes place during the 1950 s in Vietnam. The movie illustrates the
atmosphere of Vietnam previous to the Vietnam War and during the French occupation of the country.
The main plot of the movie revolves around three characters: Fowler played by Michael Caine, Pyle
played by Brendan Fraiser, and Phoung played by Do Thi Hai Yen. For the duration of the movie the
three main characters are involved in a semi love triangle. This triangle and the emotions that the male
characters feel towards Phoung begin to characterize the way they feel about the country of Vietnam
itself. Vietnam becomes feminized, taboo, and sexualized just as Phoung does in Pyle and Fowler s
eyes. The manner in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Pyle doesn t love Vietnam so much as he hates communism, in the same way he doesn t love Phoung
so much as he does not want Fowler to have her. Fowler on the other hand walks a thin line between
noninvolvement and participation within the situations at hand. Fowler believes that Vietnam should
be left to make its own decisions, but at the same time he is afraid of the consequences of such
choices. This policy of noninvolvement and noncommittal is the same way that he approaches all the
situations within his life. Fowler does not want to become concerned with the circumstances occurring
in Vietnam and he also does not wholeheartedly become involved in the situation between Pyle and
Phoung until he is forced to do so. He essentially permits Phoung to decide whom she wants to be
with until he is compelled to leave his state of neutrality when it does not seem as if he will become
the winner of her heart. Yet again Fowler s feelings towards Phoung embody his feelings towards
Vietnam. Fowler wanted to give Phoung a chance to make her own decisions until he becomes
petrified that she will choose the stability of Pyle rather than himself. In a similar way, Fowler
believed that Vietnam should be able to choose what would occur in its own future but he was afraid
at the same time that they would make the wrong decision and elect a communist leader. Although
Phoung s embodiment of Vietnam is the major

Toy Safety Standards And Regulations
The toy industry is consistently growing and expanding within the United States. In 2015, the toy
industry grew 7% in domestic sales from 2014, with a net worth of $19.48 billion. Demand for toys is
vastly seasonal with nearly 70% of toy sales taking place before, during, and just after the Christmas
season. Because of this, it is important for those within the toy industry to predict demand during peak
season in order to avoid heavy markdowns after the holidays. Lego s largest competitors are Mattel
and Hasbro. However, with Lego s net income as a percentage of sales at an impressive 24%, they
greatly surpass Mattel and Hasbro with net income coming in at 14% and 7%, respectively.
Because the toy industry makes use of assembly lines, machines, and manual labor; it is considered a
manufacturing, or secondary, industry.
The United States has some of the strictest toy safety standards and regulations in the world. Any toy
intended for use by children age 12 and under must be third party tested and certified with a Children s
Product Certificate (CPSC). However, not every section of the Children s Product Certificate may
apply to any given toy. The document is lengthy with a multitude of provisions. Each provision may
not necessarily may to any given toy. For example, toys that don t make and noise would not need to
adhere to sound provisions. Although certain sections may be exempt, each applicable provision much
be in compliance with the toy safety standard.

Racial Diversity in Jury Selection
Racial Diversity in Jury Selection

Abstract
The selection process of juries was designed to select citizens that were equal peers of the person
involved in the trial. However, many disparities exist and the selection process at times seems to be
disproportionate relating to race or ethnicity. Reform of the legislature would benefit those that are not
being properly served.
It is the right of every citizen in this nation to have his or her case decided by a fair and impartial jury.
The selection of the jury panel is one of great importance and one that can have a great effect on the
outcome of the case. Therefore, it is obvious that the attorneys have a ... Show more content on

Identify and explain at least three legal considerations
When considering the legalities of this scenario, negligence, vicarious liability, and physician patient
relationship are a few components that affect the outcome of a lawsuit. The amount of legal torts that
were violated in this case was enough to cause disputes between patients and healthcare staff.
Negligence is a familiar tort that occurs much more than it needs too. Unfortunately in this case,
vicarious liability and patient physician relationship are two considerations that influence this case as
well. According to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Though it may not be a legal commitment, but days when an emergency situation is at hand healthcare
staff should make use of good ethical practice and be present for work.
Administering the wrong prescription for a patient can be viewed as a negligent act as well as a bad
ethical decision. As much as this act leans more towards negligence, it is only right to assume the
existence of poor ethical standards. If nurse maintained a high standard and value towards occupation,
the right medication would have been giving to the patient.
Identify and explain at least three professional considerations The three professional considerations
that pertain to this case are similar to the ethical considerations. It was unprofessional for the nurses to
call off, leave patients un attended, and also breaking the patient legal duty to provide proper service
to patients. According to (makely), enhancing professionalism has become a major challenge for
healthcare educators, employers, and personnel (2009).
As a healthcare professional, the nurses in this case don t necessarily lack skills of being nurses but
simply lack the attitude of a professional. In situations similar to this case, nurses should have been
more concerned with the patients and should have made it an obligation to be present for work.

The Circulatory System In The Human Heart
The Circulatory System
The circulatory system
The circulatory system is a vast network of organs and vessels that is responsible for the flow of
blood, nutrients, hormones, oxygen and other gases to and from cells. Without the circulatory system,
the body would not be able to fight disease or maintain a stable internal environment such as proper
temperature and pH known as homeostasis. (Live Science, 2017)
Main keys roles
The most important role of the cardiovascular system is maintaining a normal, healthy, balanced
movement.
The cardiovascular system is often called the blood vascular, or simply the circulatory system. It
consists of the heart, and a closed system of vessels called arteries, veins, and capillaries.
The Effect of exercise on the heart
Your heart pumps blood at a fast pace to pump extra food and oxygen to the muscles. When, you
exercise your body, has to pumps more blood. This is because when you exercise, the cells that are in
your muscles need more energy to move. Your muscles get this energy from respiration. This chemical
reaction uses up oxygen to release energy from glucose. This then travels in the blood, so if your
muscles need more oxygen and glucose, they get it from the blood. So now we know that when you
exercise, your body pumps more blood, which makes your pulse rate faster.
The Human Heart
Structure
In humans, the heart is located among the lungs. The human heart is situated to the left of the middle
of your chest. A

The Death Penalty Is Not Morally Ambiguous
In the United States, there are several topics that are considered morally ambiguous. Among these
contended topics is the death penalty. There are many arguments for and against capital punishment.
One proponent for the death penalty is Ernest van den Haag, who in his article, The Ultimate
Punishment, argues a case for the death penalty. I believe he successfully counters the arguments
against the death penalty leading me to believe it is not something that should be viewed as inhumane
and wrong. I will argue that the death penalty is not morally ambiguous, but a justified sentence some
deserve. Van den Haag believes that in upholding a death sentence, potential murderers are being
deterred, victims protected, and justice served. Many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Many people have a fear of death, many a fear of confinement. It is impossible to predict which
sentence would deter the most potential murderers. With this in mind, it makes more sense to have a
variety of sentences that would deter the greatest amount of people. Abolishing the death penalty may
result in those who are not deterred by the life sentence continuing to commit heinous crimes. As van
den Haag states, Sparing the lives of even a few prospective victims by deterring their murderers is
more important than preserving the lives of convicted murderers because of the possibility, or even the
probability, that executing them would not deter others (194). The argument has been made that if we
condone the legal execution of convicted murderers, then we are essentially endorsing murder itself. If
this were so, then, as van den Haag points out, prison sentences would endorse kidnapping and fines
would endorse robbery (195). If someone has the mentality that something the judicial system deems
an appropriate punishment is unjust, then that individual will do as they see fit in retaliation. The death
sentence itself does not endorse anything. This is again something that is defined on an individual
level. As with anything in life, there is always the risk of making a mistake. Those opposed to the
death penalty use this as one of their

Reflective Research Paper
Reflective Research Paper
I have connected the reflective research paper to objective # 1 because it made me examine my
personal belief and attitude on gender equity issues. I did not realize that gender equity existed at the
level that it does until researching the topic. Doing the research made me realize that the way we teach
directly affects how children learn in every aspect.
Gender inequities in the fields of math and science are well researched and the results are shocking.
Women compromise 45% of the work force, they hold jobs concentrated in clerical, service, and
professional fields such as teaching and nursing, rather than in mathematics, science, or engineering
(Levin Matthews, 1997). Gender inequities start in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With girls, teachers reprimand for calling out answers, call on somebody else if they do not know the
answer, give them more straight forward questions, and praise them for the appearance of their work.
Teachers need to challenge girls in the same manner they challenge boys.
Language is another barrier teachers need to break in order to prevent gender bias. Language can build
a wall that will deter girls from continuing their math and science education. Text and teachers often
refer to a third party as he . When he is stated your mind automatically pictures a man. When speaking
about professionals, engineers or scientists, you re limiting professions to girls by always labeling
with he . Something as simple as phrasing can result in a bias in the classroom.
Using role models in the classroom can provide gender equity issues. Recently textbook publishers
tried to make textbooks less gender bias by including more women. In the 1997 article, Levin and
Matthews stated that even though there are chapters or boxes labeled Famous Women Scientists,
students are still left with a fragmented world view that males are the main story and women are a
sideshow, confined to a brief insert, anecdote, or biographical summary. However, if teachers can
provide female role models of scientists, or engineers for the students they will be more likely to

Why Homelessness Is The Condition
Homelessness is the condition which is a social category of people who are without a regular house
because they are struggling and cannot afford or are unable to maintain regular, adequate and safe
housing. (Homelessnessact.org.uk, 2015) This term and category of people may also include those
who night time residence is in a homeless shelter. Or for sofa surfing, and living on the streets, which
is a private or public place which is not designed for use as a regular sleeping accommodation for
human beings. Or staying at an institution that provides a temporary residence for individuals intended
to be institutionalised, such as b b s, hostels, nightstop and temporary accommodation. In this piece of

Although this act was a good idea, it was a deficient response to homelessness. Reason being the main
help by many welfare departments only applied to mothers and children. This meant that families
would most likely be split, with temporary accommodation being excluded for homeless fathers, and
single homeless people were rarely given any assistance (Robson and Poustie, 1996).
After the TV drama Cathy Come Home (1966) was released, pressure mounted for central government
intervention on homelessness and this bought along the establishment of Shelter around the same time,
which was a campaigning group for the homeless. It was recommended that primary responsibility for
the homeless should be transferred from local authority social services to housing departments, by a
number of official committees in the late 1960s and early 1970s(Robson and Poustie, 1996). However,
single individuals were not yet the focus, where on the other hand most of the priority was on families
with dependant children (Watson with Austerberry, 1986).
During the 1970 s, the 1977 Housing (Homeless Persons) Act was broad along. The main aims of this
were to clear up and strengthen local authority, meaning their duties towards the homeless in terms of
housing, and to effectively transfer all these responsibilities from local authority social services to
housing departments. Local authorities were now only obliged to give long term

Women Of Latin American Culture
Women of Latin American culture have incessantly ensued the potent gender roles that have become a
social construction of their society over innumerable decades. The profound author of Insurgent
Mexico, John Reed, imparts his experiences with the revolutionary leaders of the Mexican Revolution,
like Pancho Villa, and was able to witness their culture and more specifically the roles these Mexican
women were forced to render by their chauvinistic counterparts. This period of revolution, started to
grant women new mantles usually reserved only for men, like participating in fighting for the success
of the revolution; any preeminent changes would soon approach, but in the meantime Mexican society

In Reed s accounts he expressed how he heard the angry voice of the master of the house reminded the
woman that she was not doing five or six things at once in which his woman would then go attend to
the orders he had just given (Reed, 17). There is an order of importance to note that Reed always
refers to these Mexican women as the man s woman and never their wife, however when he speaks
through the woman s account he refers to the man as their husband. There is more respect demanded
from the women of Mexican culture during the early 1900s because the men viewed their laborious
work that brings in money as a means to deserve to be treated like masters of their family. The
specifically crafted language Reed uses when he speaks of the labor the women perform, can
demonstrate that he realizes they are weary and overworked. Along with everything Reed includes
when he is describing the women work, there is important to also note that he omits any complaints
made by women to their husbands. Throughout the novel in any interaction between and man and his
woman, never did the woman complain about her arduous work and the commands she received. The
work women did in Mexican culture is expected of them and it ties into machismo on part of the men
because they feel their job is only to bring income while the wives took care of the rest. Taking this
into account, Reed portrays these women to be tolerant and respectful not only to these men in their
lives they

What Are The Similarities Between The Democrats And The Whigs
President Jackson s presidential campaigns of 1828 and 1832 were both successful and won him the
presidency. One large factor of its success was the way Democrats campaigned on behalf of Jackson.
The Whig party viewed how successful the strategies that the Democrats employed were to winning
the presidency. The Whigs as a result employed the same strategies during the campaigns of William
Henry Harrison and Zachary Taylor. Although the Democrats and the Whigs were rivals in the 1840

The Whigs once again choose a decorated war hero just like Jackson. At the time Zachary Taylor was
the most celebrated man in America due to him being part of the Mexican American War (Wilentz

their nominee of being a man for the people. Unlike Jackson, Taylor running for president was his first
time being involved in any politics. However, both ran on a vague platform to an extent. Jackson in
his 1828 election ran on a platform of reform, but when it came to major issue he was quite vague, this
vagueness helped him because it allowed him to mold to the image the people wanted (M Pg.34). For
Jackson, it overall hurt his opponent, Adam, because since he was a former president his actions as
president revealed his stance on major issues. Vagueness was also employed by Zachary Taylor, but to
an even greater extent. Taylor was given to platform at all by the Whigs, in order to keep him out of
political controversy (M Pg.45). Once again this helped him because in such vagueness it was difficult
to criticize him on his stance on major

Captivity Narrative Essay
One of the most popular music producers today, William Moore, also known as DJ Esco, once found
himself locked up in a jail in Dubai. He was held Captive for 56 days. In one of the songs he
produced, he told his tale of captivity and how it felt to be amongst a culture that is completely
different from your own. He states in the song that he felt as if he were an alien among the people of
Dubai. This is an example of a captivity narrative. Captivity narratives are usually stories of people
captured by enemies whom they consider uncivilized, or whose beliefs and customs they oppose. A

for 444 days. While they were never severely injured, the hostages endured awful treatment by their
captors; they were displayed in front of cameras blindfolded, they could not talk, read, or change

Inception Inception was released in 2010, and the film was given a slightly futuristic atmosphere, but

His partner, Arthur (Joseph Gordon Levitt), is also an extractor, as well as his only student at the time,

In-Depth Analysis Of The Great Gatsby
F. Scott Fitzgerald s The Great Gatsby has been viewed as a standout masterpiece of American writing
since it was published in the 1920s. The novel has been distinctly consecrated in American culture
where it remains applicable and regularly read over ninety years after publication. Why it is still
relevant turns out to be clear when reading the novel. Fitzgerald tells a moderately contained and
straightforward story by using an elaborate style and concerning different distinctive topics. In
addition, it lets plenty of space for alternative views and speculations about some elements of the
novel. This essay will focus on a in depth analysis of Nick Carraway, with the intention of showcasing

Tom s secret affair. They then head to an apartment where they, together with Myrtles sister and the
married couple, the McKees, have a party. Nick comments that at this afternoon it was the second time
in his life that he had been drunk and that everything therefore had a dim, hazy cast over it (27 32). At
this party Nick meets the photographer Mr. McKee, which is a important scene for characterizing Nick
s sexuality. Nick describes McKee as a pale, feminine man (32) and it can be assumed that there is
some sort of attraction between the two men, because of events that will follow. Nick and McKee end
up leaving the party together, something Maggie Gordon Froehlich says clearly (if subtly) suggests a

intoxication, but it could also be argued that when looking closely, their talk about their plans to get
lunch (when asked where, McKee answers anywhere [39]) is subliminal homoerotic intended (because
they are not planning lunch at all, but rather planning to do something else). Whether or not the offer

The Link Between Science And Crime
The link between science and crime was originated days back in 1840 s in Europe and when Spanish
physician Soler made reference to the concept of the born criminal.
No one in the history of criminology has a reputation like Cesare Lombroso.
Darwin s hypothesis of development, with its startling decisions and cautious arrangement
frameworks, in view of point by point physical portrayals of many finch mouths and ocean turtle
carapaces, is a prime sample of this new science. Taking up from where Darwin left, Cesare Lombroso
s deliberate investigation of criminal physiognomy tried to support society by recognizing crooks.
Lombroso particularly inspired by the thought of Charles Darwin that some men are hereditarily
closer to their primitive heritage of the concept of born criminal.
Lombroso was a multifaceted researcher who took a gander at for all intents and purpose each part of
the lives, minds, bodies, state of mind, words, lifestyles, and practices of criminal guilty parties with
expectations of discovering the conclusive reason for crime. He was the pioneer in actuation of
investigative systems to criminology. Lombroso turned into a well known positive criminologist. The
essential thought behind constructive criminology is that lawbreakers are conceived as being what is
indicated and not made into criminals; as it were, it is the way of the individual, not sustain, that
brings about criminal inclinations. Lombroso s fundamental theory was his concept of atavism, that

In both eukaryote and prokaryote, transcription is the first step for a gene to be expressed and also

mutations in transcriptional regulatory sequences or factors can lead to variety of diseases. In order to
start transcription process, multi subunit RNA polymerase (RNAP) from both bacterial and eukaryotic

3590) and the Health Care Education Reconciliation Act 2010 (H.R. 4872). When President Obama
signed these two bills, they became Public Law. The purpose of the ACA is to make health care more
accessible to all residents of the United States by three means: mandating all U.S. residents to select a
health insurance plan, forbidding insurers from denying coverage based on a pre existing condition,
and expanding program. The ACA states that the federal government will pay 100% of the cost of a
newly enrolled Medicaid participants until 2016 for all states that expand their Medicaid program up
to 138% of the federal poverty level and will pay90% by 2020 (Kincaid, 2013). Other concerns
include whether the federal government will give state enough flexibility to manage Medicaid
program, whether hospitals will receive adequate compensation to care for more patients and whether
the physician workforce can accommodate the increased demand for care (Kincaid, 2013). The ACA is
affected by two things, one is payments of hospitals and providers. The ACA does not provide fee for
service towards a bundled payment. This type of payment, a set amout is paid for all services rendered
and treatment related sickness. The ACA emphasizes pay per performance, meaning that the providers
will not receive payment based on the patient outcome. For example, if the patient has shown no
improvement there will be penalties. Also, there will be penalties if the patient has to be hospitalized

Robert Frost Alienation Analysis
The Final Frontier
(A Literary Analysis on Robert Frost s Poems and the Topic of Alienation)
Children struggle with this, teenagers struggle with this, adults struggle with this, and as a whole,
society struggles with this. What is this you may ask? Alienation. Alienation is the act of being isolated
from a group in which someone belongs. There are many instances where people are in situations
where they are surround by people, yet feel entirely alone, though in that circumstance, they shouldn t
feel alone at all! Robert Frost was a poet in the 20th century who wrote several poems, all about
alienation. In three of Frost s poems, there are three different types of alienation that are presented.
To begin, in the short poem Mending Wall, alienation is presented in the title of the poem. Wall. Walls
are created to divide people, not to bring people together. And in dividing humans, isolation occurs.
Frost wrote, Before I built a wall I d ask to know what I was walling in or walling out (Lines 32 33).
The unfortunate part of that statement is that he questioned the building of the wall too late. The wall
had already been built, and the people on both sides had become isolated from one another. We build
too many walls, and not enough bridges. Sadly, that is true. Society is too busy building up their walls,
they never stop to think about the purpose of doing so, or how to potentially tear them down. It is my
belief that if we stop building the walls and begin to question

Security Assertion Markup Language ( Xml ) Standard
Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML)
Susana Gamiz
Keiser University SAML
Security Assertion Markup Language is an Extensible Markup Language (XML) standard that lets a
user to log on once for associated but different Web sites. SAML is intended for business to business
and business to consumer transactions (Rouse, 2008). SAML states three components: assertions,
protocol, and binding, and authentication, attribute, and authorization are the three assertions.
Authentication assertion verifies the user s identity. Attribute assertion has detailed data about the user.
And authorization assertion checks what the user is authorized to do.
Features
SAML has many good features that we all can take advantages of. One of its features is that it
supports single sign on with numerous identity benefactors. Another one is that it also supports
alternatives for identity assertion and mapping the assertion identity to the user registry of the service
provider. Also, according to IBM SAML Single Sign on Scenarios, Features, and Limitations (2016),
SAML service provider can map or assert SAML token attributes to the realm, principal, unique Id,
and group, and set them into the service provider security context. It gives a plug point to allow for
customized identity mapping.
Usage
As it becomes a general agenda for communicating security and identity data, SAML is being used in
a number of different ways, three of them are Web SSO (Web single sign on), Attribute based
authorization,

What Is The Solow Economic Growth Model And The Solow...
2. Literature Review
2.1. Introduction to the literature review
The following headings cover the theory and literature relevant to this study.
The literature review is divided into four distinct sections: Economic growth, productivity, industrial
robot density and its effect on labour.
2.2. Economic growth models
2.2.1. The Solow economic growth model and the Solow residual
Burda Severgnini (2014) stated that that for half a century the Solow decomposition and residual
theory have been used to define and measure the productivity component of growth in economics and
management. The work by Solow (1957) remains influential, as it broke the limitations of the
contemporary and restrictive labour and capital input growth models of the period. ... Show more

The so called Solow residual can be explained by the phenomenon where the growth rate in output
exceeds that of the growth rate of inputs (Ten Raa, 2011). This paved the way for the contribution of
productivity as a metric contribution to economic growth theory, and in this context why the increased
productivity effected through ever advancing robotic technologies and rate of implementation are
important to study. Robert Solow s research was core to theoretical concepts of which the Solow
residual, total factor productivity (TFP), the Solow decomposition and the Neo classical growth model
were relevant to this research.
Robert Solow s (1956) seminal essay titled: A contribution to the theory of economic growth
introduced the framework for the development of the neo classical growth model. Productivity is a
key enabler of economic growth (Autor, 2015; Krone, 2014; Mokyr, Vickers Ziebarth, 2015). These
theories affirmed the applicability of industrial robot density as an accurate metric and enabler of
economic growth within the neo classical economic growth theory

A Brief Look at Geothermal Energy Essay
The power of electricity is available to anyone with a simple click of a button. The methods of
obtaining the energy used to develop that electricity are commonly debated topics. One of those
methods is using geothermal energy, or the Earth s naturally produced heat. There are plenty of
intriguing facts centered upon geothermal energy. For thousands of years, geothermal energy has been
used in some countries for heating and cooking ( Geothermal Energy Info 2). These underground
systems being used contain water with teperatures that can rise above 200 degrees Celsius (430
degrees Fahrenheit) ( How Geothermal Energy Works 2). Italy used geothermal energy thousands of
years ago and is currently the fourth largest producer of geothermal ... Show more content on

These hot spots usually occur at thin spots in the Earth s crust or at tectonic plate boundaries ( How
Geothermal Energy Works 2). Water circulates naturally in these seismically active locations due to
the large number of earthquakes in the area. ( How Geothermal Energy Works 2). Four forms of
producing geothermal energy are currently available: dry steam, wet steam, hot rocks, and
geopressured deposits (Savage 22). To gain access to these resources, cooled water is injected down a
well where it circulates through fractured rocks and heats up. Once hot, the water is sucked back up to
the surface through another to be further processed into energy ( Geothermal Energy 2). Dry steam
sources are very practical for producing energy due to its very high temperature and its ability to cause
no corrosion to turbines and various types of other equipment involved in the process (Savage 22). On
the other hand, wet steam sources must be regularly maintained because they do cause damage to the
equipment if left unchecked. Despite this drawback, it is a very useful way to generate energy (Savage
22). Hot rocks are tantalizing geothermal sources, but water must be introduced artificially to the dry
heat source to produce steam or hot water (Savage 22). Geopressured deposits have been exploited for
a very long time because they are generally hotter than most underground water systems (Savage 22).

Nonverbal Communication In Everybody Loves Raymond
The television show Everybody Loves Raymond is about the comical and typical everyday life of Ray
Romano. Ray is a successful sports writer with interests of an average American male in sports, golf,
and work and has a beautiful family with his loving wife, Debra. However, the twist is that Ray s
overprotective mother Marie and demanding father Frank along with his older brother Robert who is
envious of Ray all live across the street. As a result, Ray s seemingly normal life is always full of
drama and liveliness. In the episode Baggage, because Ray and Debra are returning from a short

Behavioral flexibility involves knowing and using a number of different behaviors to achieve
appropriate communication (O Hair et al. 16). At the same time, Ray returns home early after realizing
how silly their fight over the suitcase is. Ray and Debra engage in using mature behavior and
communication to handle the situation, rather than using nonverbal and negative communication, to
end their argument. Consequently, since Ray and Debra are husband and wife, they begin to show
their affiliation to one another. Affiliation can be described as the feeling of connectedness you have
with others (O Hair et al. 6). Furthermore, Ray and Debra use haptics or the use of touch to send
messages when they nonverbally interact by hugging each other (O Hair et al. 111). More specifically,
this is also an example of love intimacy touch which shows example include embracing and caressing
(O Hair et al. 112). Love intimacy touch is generally used by two very close romantical partners or
family members to express affection. In this case, because Ray and Debra reconcile with one another,
their relationship grows stronger and their affections toward one another grow. Therefore, Ray and
Debra go from arguing about the suitcase to using the symbol to as means to grow closer to one
another and even leads to Ray suggesting that they should have coming home action

History Of Chicano Art
For my creative project, I intend to tell a story of Chicano s and a part of their culture that is much
more than a hobby. I want to capture what it meant to be a Chicano in the late 1900s and what it
means to be one stuck in that era. For decades, one principle of Chicano culture has been bajito y
suavecito. The lowriding community can be traced back to the 50s, when Chicano s began dropping
their cars and adding hydraulics. Lowriding is not to be confused with hot rodding, the need for
bubbly, speedy cars; instead Chicano s care about giving an art show on wheels.Cruising is all about
showing off all the hard work put into making the car shine, it s about showing the true Chicano art.

The law differentiates between the investor and the homeowner because the investor has taken on
large improvements based on the previous state of affairs where the homeowner has not. This means
that the investor gained site specific assurance where the homeowner did not, even if they seek out to
maintain the zoning classification not only on their property, but on the whole neighborhood. Hence,
several courts have specifically held that neighbors have no eternally vested rights in the perpetuation
of an existing zoning classification (Stahl, Kenneth A). In most cases this is why there are some
neighborhoods around the metropolitan area where there are signs that read My community is not for
sale as a way of protesting. In a way this seems unfair for the communities that must deal with new
development within the area without having a say which makes most neighbors somewhat aggravated
with the city s decision making and the benefits it gives investors in what they do with a property. On
the other hand people need to realize the essential aspect of new property development, this is
motivation for investors to form an important part of identity to help shape communities where the
property can serve as an important focus that gives meaning to residents within society. Therefore, it is
important to note that the Property and Relative Status is another factor that needs to be accounted for
when getting in real estate investing as well as the

The Development Of Human Development Essay
Human Development in Children aged 11years
Human development refers to the biological and psychological development in the human being
throughout the lifespan. It consists of the development from infancy, childhood and adolescence to
adulthood.
In this essay I will analyse two practiced based experiences to demonstrate my understanding of
human development. For my first practiced based experience, I will be drawing on Lev Vygotsky s
Sociocultural Development Theory. His key concepts of The Zone of Proximal Development, More
Knowledgeable Others, and Internalisation.
For my second practiced based experience I will draw on Erik Erikson s Theory of Identity
Development. His key concept of psychosocial development stages.
My first experience concerns an 11year old girl named Ella.
I was sitting in the library with Ella after she had completed her E asTTle testing. While we were
waiting to head back to the classroom Ella was completing a math s project. She explained to me that
she was in a higher learning level math s group and was completing a math s badge. Mrs. Jones head
of math s for year 7/8 is assisting Ella with her math s badge and told me that Ella is doing extremely
well.
My second experience was observing a group of 5 girls that had gone outside to practice their
presentation of an Anzac day story to be delivered before their peers. When one of the girls proceeded
to deliver her part of the presentation, Katy another of the girls in the group sidled up to her,

Jeans Are A Modern Staple Of Everyone s Closet
Jeans are a modern staple in everyone s closet. They are versatile and look great on everyone, if you
have the perfect pair. Not all jeans cater to everyone s needs; you must find your preferred jean brand.
Jeans are an article of clothing I invest in, much like many other people. I suffered through ill fitting
jean all throughout middle school, until I was enlightened. My sister took me to American Eagle
picked out a pair for me to try on. I could immediately feel and see the quality difference. The jeans
didn t even feel like the inelastic and inflexible jeans I was forced to wear throughout my childhood.
American Eagle Jeans had set a new standard for me. They offer an extensive variety in styles,
washes, and sizes. The only small flaw is their retail pricing, but it is certainly worth the investment.
American Eagle jeans are made out of a premium cotton denim material called Cotton Elastane and
top of the line dyes. Cotton Elastane is breathable, elastic, flexible, and comfortable. This ninety nine
percent cotton one percent elastane blend of fabrics is what sets American Eagle Jeans from other jean
brands that produce a product that is stiff, unbreathable, uncomfortable, and restrictive. This premium
material is extremely durable, withstanding multiple washes and wears with no signs of weakening.
Through all of the washes and wears they still manage to keep their elasticity. Other jeans I have had
would lose their original shape, color and fit after just a

Researchers cite potential hypotheses for the decline such as 1) poorly trained therapists; 2)
inexperienced psychotherapists; and 3) the placebo effect, meaning that the newness of the technique
has worn off (Pretzer, 2015), but suggest that more research is needed to confirm the substantial
decline in clinical outcome measures. Areas of Disagreement in the Research Holistic Treatments: The
Causal Model Emotional Etiology Integrative medicine and holistic therapy for obesity and comorbid
anxiety are partners in treating the whole person, knowing that one part of a person cannot become ill,
or well, without all of the other parts being affected (Clinton, 2010). Therapists Emmett and Rabinor
(2007) of Rhode Island are advocates of the holistic treatment of eating pathology. They cite that
holistically healed individuals possess a relatively stable sense of inner well being, contentment, and
the feeling that they fit and belong to their surrounding community a robust reclamation of the
complete self, physically, emotionally, and spiritually (Emmett et al., 2007, p. 82). Thomas (2009)
supports this presupposition adding that recovery must encompass this profound personal
transformation not merely changes in behaviorally verifiable criteria such as weight gain, caloric
intake, and binge cycle frequency (From the Editor section, para.3).

Twelfth Night Viola Identity Essay
Through out Shakespeare s entire Twelfths Night Act there were various roles of mistaken identities.
Shakespeare often uses mistaken identity to create confusion and tangled, love triangles. This keeps
his plays fresh and serves to add humor to the entertainment. (D, Jill) Viola is one of the main
characters of the Twelfths Night Act we can easily reduce the amorality or her decision to dress like a
young man. Her character is the center the entire plot. She seems to be the only character to truly be
authentic. She also seems to be truly in love. Viola also plays the character of Cesario. At times she
has problems keeping her identity being that she is in disguise. For Orsino and Olivia, Orsino starts
out by professing his love for Olivia. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is odd because Sebastian and Viola are different in many ways. In Act three scene one Cesario
disguised as Viola encounters a conversation with Feste and she is very pleasant like with him. When
Sebastian encounters a conversation with Feste in Act four, scene one Sebastian is very bothered with
Feste and doesn t give him the same treatment. This is where people start to have doubts about
Cesario. Viola knows that Cesario is being mistaken for Sebastian. This is due to the fact that Viola is
the only one that knows she has been disguising herself as a man and the other characters in the play
do not. They believe that Cesario is actually a young man. As I stated before the mistaken identities
don t come into the play unti Viola disguised as Cesario and Sebastian start to come into contact with
the same situations as each other. Now that I have discussed who is mistaken for whom let me now
answer the question of what do these mix ups signify? So what do these mix ups signify? We see what
we see but it doesn t mean that we are seeing the real thing. Just like Cesario was a young male but it
was really Viola under all of that male clothing and disguise. If Viola would have never said to
everyone that she was Cesario everyone would have continued to think Cesario was indeed a

Azo Dyes Lab Report
The dye studied in this experiment comes from a group of dyes called azo dyes. These dyes are
arranged as two aromatic rings connected by two double bonded nitrogen atoms (R N=N R). The two
nitrogen atoms being double bonded together cause the color that the dye produces. Azo violet is also
used in labs as a pH indicator because of the fact that it turns from an yellow orange color in acidic
and neutral environments (and also when used as a dye) to a deep purple in basic environments. The
amount and locations of double bonds in the molecule determine the color given off. The electrons
have a lower threshold to overcome when changing energy levels if the double bonds are numerous
and located close to each other. As a result of these energy changes that occur when the double bonds
are added, different wavelengths are absorbed and reflected by the molecule. It is these wavelengths
that are reflected that can be observed by the human eye as color. Whenever the wavelength that is
reflected from a molecule is outside the visible light spectrum the product appears colorless. Luckily

the leaving group can alter the p sulfanilic acid, which is an aromatic amine in this experiment, into
differing functional groups. For this alteration to take place a second aromatic element is added to the
reaction mixture. In this experiment that addition aromatic compound is N N dimethyl aniline. When

The Legacy Of Jack Roosevelt Robinson

Using his athletic prowess in sports to challenge the societal norms and make way for other forward
thinking people as himself. This man s name was Jack Roosevelt Robinson born in Cairo, Georgia the
youngest of five siblings. His parents came from humble backgrounds, Sharecroppers being the only
black family on the block. Being raised by a single mother of five Jackie encountered a lot of
prejudice which only made his family bond strengthen which he would need for what was to come
later in his historic life. Jackie s family moved to California when he was a small child. Growing up in
poverty in a well off neighborhood of Pasadena led him to join a small gang which a close friend of

would destiny him for greatness. At John Muir High School which he attended with his older brother a
great athlete in his own way who had already won a silver medal at the 1936 Summer Olympics
encouraged him to take up sports. Jackie would go on to play a number of Varsity level sports which
saw him lettered in the four major ones Football, basketball, track and baseball. Little did he know he
would be changing the face of baseball America s favorite pastime in years to come.

lives were being controlled by many factors consisting of religion, wealth, social status, race, conflicts

in Europe. As for one was the fireplace, as there was so much wood in the New World that they did
not know what to do with it but of course they used it to put in the fireplace in the New England and

  • 2. Arguments Against Exclusionary Rule According to Merriam Webster Dictionary, the exclusionary rule is a legal rule that bars unlawfully obtained evidence from being used in court proceedings [1].The exclusionary rule prevents the government from using evidence that was obtained in an illegal or unconstitutional manner. This includes evidence gathered from an unreasonable search or seizure. Any evidence which falls under the exclusionary rule; that leads to the ´finding of further evidence will also be excluded. The initial evidence, and subsequent evidence will not be used in the trial. The exclusionary rule is a remedy, not an individual constitutional right. It will deter police from conducting searches in violation of the Fourth Amendment [2]. The exclusionary rule also protects defendants from self incrimination. This rule protects against recordings of a confession, if it was gathered in violation of the federal wiretapping statute. The exclusionary rule also protects the defendant when evidence is gathered in violation of their Sixth Amendment right to counsel [3]. In using the exclusionary rule, law enforcement would have to commit an illegal action. They must have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is the right of every citizen, not to be forced to talk to law enforcement officers or the courts, if it self incriminates the person that is being questioned. At trial, the Fifth Amendment gives a criminal defendant the right not to testify.[7] Basically, what this means is that the prosecutor, the judge, and even the defendant s own lawyer cannot force the defendant to take the witness stand if he or she is not willing to do so to begin with. On the other hand, if a defendant does choose to testify he or she cannot pick and choose the question that they would like to answer. Once the defendant takes the witness stand, this particular Fifth Amendment right is considered waived throughout the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Quiet American Essay The Quiet American The film The Quiet American takes place during the 1950 s in Vietnam. The movie illustrates the atmosphere of Vietnam previous to the Vietnam War and during the French occupation of the country. The main plot of the movie revolves around three characters: Fowler played by Michael Caine, Pyle played by Brendan Fraiser, and Phoung played by Do Thi Hai Yen. For the duration of the movie the three main characters are involved in a semi love triangle. This triangle and the emotions that the male characters feel towards Phoung begin to characterize the way they feel about the country of Vietnam itself. Vietnam becomes feminized, taboo, and sexualized just as Phoung does in Pyle and Fowler s eyes. The manner in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Pyle doesn t love Vietnam so much as he hates communism, in the same way he doesn t love Phoung so much as he does not want Fowler to have her. Fowler on the other hand walks a thin line between noninvolvement and participation within the situations at hand. Fowler believes that Vietnam should be left to make its own decisions, but at the same time he is afraid of the consequences of such choices. This policy of noninvolvement and noncommittal is the same way that he approaches all the situations within his life. Fowler does not want to become concerned with the circumstances occurring in Vietnam and he also does not wholeheartedly become involved in the situation between Pyle and Phoung until he is forced to do so. He essentially permits Phoung to decide whom she wants to be with until he is compelled to leave his state of neutrality when it does not seem as if he will become the winner of her heart. Yet again Fowler s feelings towards Phoung embody his feelings towards Vietnam. Fowler wanted to give Phoung a chance to make her own decisions until he becomes petrified that she will choose the stability of Pyle rather than himself. In a similar way, Fowler believed that Vietnam should be able to choose what would occur in its own future but he was afraid at the same time that they would make the wrong decision and elect a communist leader. • 4. Toy Safety Standards And Regulations The toy industry is consistently growing and expanding within the United States. In 2015, the toy industry grew 7% in domestic sales from 2014, with a net worth of $19.48 billion. Demand for toys is vastly seasonal with nearly 70% of toy sales taking place before, during, and just after the Christmas season. Because of this, it is important for those within the toy industry to predict demand during peak season in order to avoid heavy markdowns after the holidays. Lego s largest competitors are Mattel and Hasbro. However, with Lego s net income as a percentage of sales at an impressive 24%, they greatly surpass Mattel and Hasbro with net income coming in at 14% and 7%, respectively. Because the toy industry makes use of assembly lines, machines, and manual labor; it is considered a manufacturing, or secondary, industry. The United States has some of the strictest toy safety standards and regulations in the world. Any toy intended for use by children age 12 and under must be third party tested and certified with a Children s Product Certificate (CPSC). However, not every section of the Children s Product Certificate may apply to any given toy. The document is lengthy with a multitude of provisions. Each provision may not necessarily may to any given toy. For example, toys that don t make and noise would not need to adhere to sound provisions. Although certain sections may be exempt, each applicable provision much be in compliance with the toy safety standard. The toy industry ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Racial Diversity in Jury Selection Racial Diversity in Jury Selection Barbara Sigler Unit 3 American Intercontinental University Abstract The selection process of juries was designed to select citizens that were equal peers of the person involved in the trial. However, many disparities exist and the selection process at times seems to be disproportionate relating to race or ethnicity. Reform of the legislature would benefit those that are not being properly served. It is the right of every citizen in this nation to have his or her case decided by a fair and impartial jury. The selection of the jury panel is one of great importance and one that can have a great effect on the outcome of the case. Therefore, it is obvious that the attorneys have a ... New Paper Assignment 2 By Alfred Onyekaba HSA 515 Health Care Policy Law amp; Ethics Denise Pica Branco, Ph.D. Strayer University Identify and explain at least three legal considerations When considering the legalities of this scenario, negligence, vicarious liability, and physician patient relationship are a few components that affect the outcome of a lawsuit. The amount of legal torts that were violated in this case was enough to cause disputes between patients and healthcare staff. Negligence is a familiar tort that occurs much more than it needs too. Unfortunately in this case, vicarious liability and patient physician relationship are two considerations that influence this case as well. According to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Though it may not be a legal commitment, but days when an emergency situation is at hand healthcare staff should make use of good ethical practice and be present for work. Administering the wrong prescription for a patient can be viewed as a negligent act as well as a bad ethical decision. As much as this act leans more towards negligence, it is only right to assume the existence of poor ethical standards. If nurse maintained a high standard and value towards occupation, the right medication would have been giving to the patient. Identify and explain at least three professional considerations The three professional considerations that pertain to this case are similar to the ethical considerations. It was unprofessional for the nurses to call off, leave patients un attended, and also breaking the patient legal duty to provide proper service to patients. According to (makely), enhancing professionalism has become a major challenge for healthcare educators, employers, and personnel (2009). As a healthcare professional, the nurses in this case don t necessarily lack skills of being nurses but simply lack the attitude of a professional. In situations similar to this case, nurses should have been more concerned with the patients and should have made it an obligation to be present for work. • 7. The Circulatory System In The Human Heart The Circulatory System The circulatory system The circulatory system is a vast network of organs and vessels that is responsible for the flow of blood, nutrients, hormones, oxygen and other gases to and from cells. Without the circulatory system, the body would not be able to fight disease or maintain a stable internal environment such as proper temperature and pH known as homeostasis. (Live Science, 2017) Main keys roles The most important role of the cardiovascular system is maintaining a normal, healthy, balanced movement. The cardiovascular system is often called the blood vascular, or simply the circulatory system. It consists of the heart, and a closed system of vessels called arteries, veins, and capillaries. The Effect of exercise on the heart Your heart pumps blood at a fast pace to pump extra food and oxygen to the muscles. When, you exercise your body, has to pumps more blood. This is because when you exercise, the cells that are in your muscles need more energy to move. Your muscles get this energy from respiration. This chemical reaction uses up oxygen to release energy from glucose. This then travels in the blood, so if your muscles need more oxygen and glucose, they get it from the blood. So now we know that when you exercise, your body pumps more blood, which makes your pulse rate faster. The Human Heart Structure In humans, the heart is located among the lungs. • 8. The Death Penalty Is Not Morally Ambiguous In the United States, there are several topics that are considered morally ambiguous. Among these contended topics is the death penalty. There are many arguments for and against capital punishment. One proponent for the death penalty is Ernest van den Haag, who in his article, The Ultimate Punishment, argues a case for the death penalty. I believe he successfully counters the arguments against the death penalty leading me to believe it is not something that should be viewed as inhumane and wrong. I will argue that the death penalty is not morally ambiguous, but a justified sentence some deserve. Van den Haag believes that in upholding a death sentence, potential murderers are being deterred, victims protected, and justice served. Many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Many people have a fear of death, many a fear of confinement. It is impossible to predict which sentence would deter the most potential murderers. With this in mind, it makes more sense to have a variety of sentences that would deter the greatest amount of people. Abolishing the death penalty may result in those who are not deterred by the life sentence continuing to commit heinous crimes. As van den Haag states, Sparing the lives of even a few prospective victims by deterring their murderers is more important than preserving the lives of convicted murderers because of the possibility, or even the probability, that executing them would not deter others (194). The argument has been made that if we condone the legal execution of convicted murderers, then we are essentially endorsing murder itself. If this were so, then, as van den Haag points out, prison sentences would endorse kidnapping and fines would endorse robbery (195). If someone has the mentality that something the judicial system deems an appropriate punishment is unjust, then that individual will do as they see fit in retaliation. Reflective Research Paper Reflective Research Paper I have connected the reflective research paper to objective # 1 because it made me examine my personal belief and attitude on gender equity issues. I did not realize that gender equity existed at the level that it does until researching the topic. Doing the research made me realize that the way we teach directly affects how children learn in every aspect. Gender inequities in the fields of math and science are well researched and the results are shocking. Women compromise 45% of the work force, they hold jobs concentrated in clerical, service, and professional fields such as teaching and nursing, rather than in mathematics, science, or engineering (Levin Matthews, 1997). With girls, teachers reprimand for calling out answers, call on somebody else if they do not know the answer, give them more straight forward questions, and praise them for the appearance of their work. Teachers need to challenge girls in the same manner they challenge boys. Language is another barrier teachers need to break in order to prevent gender bias. Language can build a wall that will deter girls from continuing their math and science education. Text and teachers often refer to a third party as he . When he is stated your mind automatically pictures a man. When speaking about professionals, engineers or scientists, you re limiting professions to girls by always labeling with he . Something as simple as phrasing can result in a bias in the classroom. Using role models in the classroom can provide gender equity issues. Recently textbook publishers tried to make textbooks less gender bias by including more women. This meant that families would most likely be split, with temporary accommodation being excluded for homeless fathers, and single homeless people were rarely given any assistance (Robson and Poustie, 1996). After the TV drama Cathy Come Home (1966) was released, pressure mounted for central government intervention on homelessness and this bought along the establishment of Shelter around the same time, which was a campaigning group for the homeless. It was recommended that primary responsibility for the homeless should be transferred from local authority social services to housing departments, by a number of official committees in the late 1960s and early 1970s(Robson and Poustie, 1996). However, single individuals were not yet the focus, where on the other hand most of the priority was on families with dependant children (Watson with Austerberry, 1986). There is an order of importance to note that Reed always refers to these Mexican women as the man s woman and never their wife, however when he speaks through the woman s account he refers to the man as their husband. There is more respect demanded from the women of Mexican culture during the early 1900s because the men viewed their laborious work that brings in money as a means to deserve to be treated like masters of their family. The specifically crafted language Reed uses when he speaks of the labor the women perform, can demonstrate that he realizes they are weary and overworked. Along with everything Reed includes when he is describing the women work, there is important to also note that he omits any complaints made by women to their husbands. Throughout the novel in any interaction between and man and his woman, never did the woman complain about her arduous work and the commands she received. The work women did in Mexican culture is expected of them and it ties into machismo on part of the men because they feel their job is only to bring income while the wives took care of the rest. Alienation. Alienation is the act of being isolated from a group in which someone belongs. There are many instances where people are in situations where they are surround by people, yet feel entirely alone, though in that circumstance, they shouldn t feel alone at all! Robert Frost was a poet in the 20th century who wrote several poems, all about alienation. In three of Frost s poems, there are three different types of alienation that are presented. To begin, in the short poem Mending Wall, alienation is presented in the title of the poem. Wall. Walls are created to divide people, not to bring people together. And in dividing humans, isolation occurs. Frost wrote, Before I built a wall I d ask to know what I was walling in or walling out (Lines 32 33). The unfortunate part of that statement is that he questioned the building of the wall too late. The wall had already been built, and the people on both sides had become isolated from one another. We build too many walls, and not enough bridges. Sadly, that is true. Four forms of producing geothermal energy are currently available: dry steam, wet steam, hot rocks, and geopressured deposits (Savage 22). To gain access to these resources, cooled water is injected down a well where it circulates through fractured rocks and heats up. Once hot, the water is sucked back up to the surface through another to be further processed into energy ( Geothermal Energy 2). Dry steam sources are very practical for producing energy due to its very high temperature and its ability to cause no corrosion to turbines and various types of other equipment involved in the process (Savage 22). On the other hand, wet steam sources must be regularly maintained because they do cause damage to the equipment if left unchecked. Despite this drawback, it is a very useful way to generate energy (Savage 22). Hot rocks are tantalizing geothermal sources, but water must be introduced artificially to the dry heat source to produce steam or hot water (Savage 22). It consists of the development from infancy, childhood and adolescence to adulthood. In this essay I will analyse two practiced based experiences to demonstrate my understanding of human development. For my first practiced based experience, I will be drawing on Lev Vygotsky s Sociocultural Development Theory. His key concepts of The Zone of Proximal Development, More Knowledgeable Others, and Internalisation. For my second practiced based experience I will draw on Erik Erikson s Theory of Identity Development. His key concept of psychosocial development stages. My first experience concerns an 11year old girl named Ella. I was sitting in the library with Ella after she had completed her E asTTle testing. While we were waiting to head back to the classroom Ella was completing a math s project. She explained to me that she was in a higher learning level math s group and was completing a math s badge. Mrs. Jones head of math s for year 7/8 is assisting Ella with her math s badge and told me that Ella is doing extremely well. My second experience was observing a group of 5 girls that had gone outside to practice their presentation of an Anzac day story to be delivered before their peers. When one of the girls proceeded to deliver her part of the presentation, Katy another of the girls in the group sidled up to her, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 31. Jeans Are A Modern Staple Of Everyone s Closet Jeans are a modern staple in everyone s closet. They are versatile and look great on everyone, if you have the perfect pair. Not all jeans cater to everyone s needs; you must find your preferred jean brand. Jeans are an article of clothing I invest in, much like many other people. I suffered through ill fitting jean all throughout middle school, until I was enlightened. My sister took me to American Eagle picked out a pair for me to try on. I could immediately feel and see the quality difference. The jeans didn t even feel like the inelastic and inflexible jeans I was forced to wear throughout my childhood. American Eagle Jeans had set a new standard for me. They offer an extensive variety in styles, washes, and sizes. The only small flaw is their retail pricing, but it is certainly worth the investment. American Eagle jeans are made out of a premium cotton denim material called Cotton Elastane and top of the line dyes. Cotton Elastane is breathable, elastic, flexible, and comfortable. This ninety nine percent cotton one percent elastane blend of fabrics is what sets American Eagle Jeans from other jean brands that produce a product that is stiff, unbreathable, uncomfortable, and restrictive. This premium material is extremely durable, withstanding multiple washes and wears with no signs of weakening. Through all of the washes and wears they still manage to keep their elasticity. Other jeans I have had would lose their original shape, color and fit after just a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 32. Effectiveness Of Highly Sequenced Cognitive Behavioral... In 2005, Swedish researchers, Nevonen and Broberg, investigated the effectiveness of highly sequenced cognitive behavioral therapy for Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorders and anxiety. They released a study examining thirty five EDNOS participants with a mean age of 20.5, matched and randomized to twenty three sessions of sequenced CBT, followed by either individual or group therapy. Intention to treat analysis was used and participants were measured pre, post treatment, and at one and 2.5 years follow up. Their findings showed that both sequenced based groups yielded a recovery of only about 10% at post treatment; about 60%had not changed their binge eating, purging, or restricting during or in conjunction with completing the ... Researchers cite potential hypotheses for the decline such as 1) poorly trained therapists; 2) inexperienced psychotherapists; and 3) the placebo effect, meaning that the newness of the technique has worn off (Pretzer, 2015), but suggest that more research is needed to confirm the substantial decline in clinical outcome measures. Areas of Disagreement in the Research Holistic Treatments: The Causal Model Emotional Etiology Integrative medicine and holistic therapy for obesity and comorbid anxiety are partners in treating the whole person, knowing that one part of a person cannot become ill, or well, without all of the other parts being affected (Clinton, 2010). Therapists Emmett and Rabinor (2007) of Rhode Island are advocates of the holistic treatment of eating pathology. They cite that holistically healed individuals possess a relatively stable sense of inner well being, contentment, and the feeling that they fit and belong to their surrounding community a robust reclamation of the complete self, physically, emotionally, and spiritually (Emmett et al., 2007, p. 82). Thomas (2009) supports this presupposition adding that recovery must encompass this profound personal transformation not merely changes in behaviorally verifiable criteria such as weight gain, caloric intake, and binge cycle frequency (From the Editor section, para.3). ... • 33. Twelfth Night Viola Identity Essay Through out Shakespeare s entire Twelfths Night Act there were various roles of mistaken identities. Shakespeare often uses mistaken identity to create confusion and tangled, love triangles. This keeps his plays fresh and serves to add humor to the entertainment. (D, Jill) Viola is one of the main characters of the Twelfths Night Act we can easily reduce the amorality or her decision to dress like a young man. Her character is the center the entire plot. She seems to be the only character to truly be authentic. She also seems to be truly in love. Viola also plays the character of Cesario. At times she has problems keeping her identity being that she is in disguise. For Orsino and Olivia, Orsino starts out by professing his love for Olivia. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is odd because Sebastian and Viola are different in many ways. In Act three scene one Cesario disguised as Viola encounters a conversation with Feste and she is very pleasant like with him. When Sebastian encounters a conversation with Feste in Act four, scene one Sebastian is very bothered with Feste and doesn t give him the same treatment. This is where people start to have doubts about Cesario. Viola knows that Cesario is being mistaken for Sebastian. This is due to the fact that Viola is the only one that knows she has been disguising herself as a man and the other characters in the play do not. They believe that Cesario is actually a young man. As I stated before the mistaken identities don t come into the play unti Viola disguised as Cesario and Sebastian start to come into contact with the same situations as each other. Now that I have discussed who is mistaken for whom let me now answer the question of what do these mix ups signify? So what do these mix ups signify? We see what we see but it doesn t mean that we are seeing the real thing. Just like Cesario was a young male but it was really Viola under all of that male clothing and disguise. If Viola would have never said to everyone that she was Cesario everyone would have continued to think Cesario was indeed a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. Azo Dyes Lab Report The dye studied in this experiment comes from a group of dyes called azo dyes. These dyes are arranged as two aromatic rings connected by two double bonded nitrogen atoms (R N=N R). The two nitrogen atoms being double bonded together cause the color that the dye produces. Azo violet is also used in labs as a pH indicator because of the fact that it turns from an yellow orange color in acidic and neutral environments (and also when used as a dye) to a deep purple in basic environments. The amount and locations of double bonds in the molecule determine the color given off. The electrons have a lower threshold to overcome when changing energy levels if the double bonds are numerous and located close to each other. As a result of these energy changes that occur when the double bonds are added, different wavelengths are absorbed and reflected by the molecule. It is these wavelengths that are reflected that can be observed by the human eye as color. Whenever the wavelength that is reflected from a molecule is outside the visible light spectrum the product appears colorless. Luckily this is not ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is a two stage operation. The first step is the creation of an azide salt. Mixing hydrochloric acid and sodium carbonate with p sulfanilic acid does this. This step is called a diazo sedation. The main observation with this step is that the leaving group is so good that several products are obtained. Then the leaving group can alter the p sulfanilic acid, which is an aromatic amine in this experiment, into differing functional groups. For this alteration to take place a second aromatic element is added to the reaction mixture. In this experiment that addition aromatic compound is N N dimethyl aniline. When this compound is added, diazonium coupling takes place and an electrophilic aromatic substitution reaction takes place. This reaction leads to the formation of a para product methyl orange ... • 36. Spanish Conquistador 1492 was the year that Christopher Columbus, the Spanish conquistador, came to the New World and explored it which to be later colonized by Spain, France, and mostly England to establish the soon to be, colonial America. In time, when colonists arrived in the New England region ruled by Britain their lives were being controlled by many factors consisting of religion, wealth, social status, race, conflicts with other colonists/Indians and gender. In the book, Everyday Life in Early America, written by David Freeman Hawke, it is argued that these immigrants were colonists that were forced to adapt to a new way of life. The author, Hawke, believed these colonists living in the New England region or the Chesapeake region could not really ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These Englishmen had to ditch the way of their old traditional ways of house building and adapt to the abundant space and wilderness. Therefore they had to use the trees surrounding them and make houses with them for survival. Once they built the house a couple of interior touches were different then back in Europe. As for one was the fireplace, as there was so much wood in the New World that they did not know what to do with it but of course they used it to put in the fireplace in the New England and Chesapeake regions as they were supposedly colder than England. This caused the colonist to build fireplace, doubling the size of the English fireplaces to provide them with warmth. As for furnishing only the wealthiest Englishmen had their houses furnished but for colonial America the wealthiest showed one of the few times that they were going to continue to receive their products from Europe (Britain) and not adapt at all to early American ways. At their house the colonist ate differently as there were varieties of different animals and wild berries that could be found in the New World . As for some settlers they rejected many of these new crops such as corn and potatoes. For example, settlers of English descent, at least in the seventeenth century, kept mainly to a ...
