It is also the process of making a movie available to audience for
a viewing, which is usually the task of a film distributor who, for
the film, would create a marketing strategy for that particular

I think that Paramount Pictures, Lionsgate Films or
Entertainment Film Distributors would be interested in
distributing our film. This is because they have all distributed
films in the teen drama genre such as ‘Clueless’, ‘LOL’, and ‘St
Trinians’.
These films are similar to our teen drama opening because they
all involve characters that are similar to ours and they also aim
for the same type of audience as we are aiming for.
5. Seeing as our film is set in the UK and uses characters from there,
many people may believe that it would only appeal to a UK audience.
However I think that it could appeal to a wider audience such as and
American audience.
This is because even though the characters are from the UK their
stereotypes apply to many people across the world. Therefore our teen
drama would appeal to a much wider audience than just the UK.

Some possible marketing strategies that we could use to promote
are film is to use social networks such as twitter, youtube and
Facebook. Many thousands of people from our target audience
use these social networks therefore it would be a good way to get
our film out to them.
Furthermore we could put up posters in areas where people visit
everyday such as train stations.
7. SELF DISTRIBUTION Advantages:
★One major advantage is that you can keep
all of the money made from the sales of that
film.
★You have full control of making decisions
about your film.
★You are still in charge of what happens to
your film.Disadvantages:
★It can take up a lot of time because you have to
sort out all of the sales and deals with
customers.
★It may be harder to find customers wanting to
buy your film.
★To make sure you don’t make your film
exclusive to any buyers, you have to
thoroughly check anything you sign.
