2. Problems and Prospects
History --Korea was under colonial rule of China
for a long time and got independence in 1895 then
ruled by Japan empire up to Second world war,
the history of North Korea began at the end of
World War II in 1945. The surrender of Japan led
to the division of Korea at the 38th parallel, with
the Soviet Union occupying the north, and the
United States occupying the south. Though two
countries have common history from socio
cultural and political aspects, going throughout
conflict for long.

3. Political Equation over North and South Korea
*North Korea–South Korea relations is very special with high conflicts. Originally
a single nation, the two nations have been divided just before the Korean War.
*North Korea is a one-party state run by Kim's regime. South Korea was formerly
governed by one-party military dictatorships until 1987 when it held direct elections
till now. Both nations claim to represent Korea.
*Both nations joined the United Nations in 1991 and recognized by most of the
member states in the United Nations.
*Since 1970s, both nations start informal diplomatic dialogues in order to reduce
military tensions. Since North Korea develops nuclear weapons, which raise concern
by the international communities.

4. * In April 2018, the two countries signed the Panmunjom Declaration
for Peace, Prosperity and Unification of the Korean Peninsula. In 2018,
a majority of South Koreans approved the new relationship.
*In 2000, President of South Korea Kim Dae-Jung became the first
president to visit North Korea, after 55 years of North-South divisions
in the peninsula.
*In 2018, beginning with North Korea's participation in the
2018 Winter Olympics, the relationship has seen a major
diplomatic breakthrough and become significantly warmer.

5. Background Political Equation over Korea
*China provide support to North Korea by economically and Politically and soviet
Korea sponsored North from militarily side, US support south Korea which turned into
war, UN failure to resolved it finally war stopped by accepting Proposal as "Unity for
peace" in 1950, US was defeated in that war.
*Again Excitement sprayed over Korea when North Korea accepted the membership
of IAEA and take initiative for Nuclear Weapons, then US Vs Soviet cold war
restored again. Finally, at 1994, Historical Treaty signed for reducing atomic power.
*But Us suspected over the generation of atomic power of North, it turned excitement
when North Exploited an atomic experiment at 2013 and at 2016, North again
announced for the experiment of Hydrogen Bomb, then US, UN, NATO and western
allies take initiative for blockade to North Korea fir longtime.
