Jane and her mother bought a large blue fish at the market. Jane's mother planned to cut the fish in half but when she went to cut it, the fish suddenly jumped into the sink and began shrinking rapidly until it escaped through the holes, much to Jane and her mother's surprise. Jane was left puzzled by how the now much smaller fish could have fit through the small holes.

2. Jane and her mother went

the market. They bought a very big fish. It
was blue in colour.
Jane’s mother told her that she is going to
cut the fish into half of it’s size. So, Jane took
a knife and put it on the table.

3. Jane’s mother was about to cut the fish
when all of the sudden, it jumped into the
sink and started to shrink.
Jane was shocked and so did her mother.
They couldn’t do anything but to just watch.
The fish became smaller and smaller and
eventually, it escaped through the holes in
the sink.

4. “There goes our dinner!” said Jane’s mother.
She seemed very angry. Jane smiled and
wondered how did the fish fitted into those
holes. It was very illogical!
