DEFINITION Refers to the use of correctforms where utterances donot contain errors affectingthe phonological, syntactic,semantic or discoursefeatures of a language(Bryne, 1988) Accuracy refers to thecorrectness of the languagebeing produced by thespeaker. Ability to producegrammatically correctsentences.DEFINITION Fluency is derived from theLatin word fluens whichmeans “to flow”. May be defined as theability to get acrosscommunicative intentwithout too much hesitationand too many pauses tocause barriers or abreakdown incommunication (Crystal,1977; Bryne, 1986; Nation,1991)Freedom from wordidentification problemsACCURACY FLUENCY
