10. Cup and ball
• Children have played with this toy for centuries. Earlier
children would make a hole in the base of a cylindrical
can and tie a ball with a string to it. They would hold
the can and toss the ball upwards and then try and
catch it in the can.
• The traditional toy is made out of wood. It looks like a
medieval cup. A ball is tied with a string to it.
• A palyer has to hold the stem of the cup, toss the ball
up and try to catch it in the cup.
• It may look easy but may need a little practice to get it
right.
11. Ring toss
• This game can be played indoors or outdoors.
• The tools to play this game can be made at home.
• The frame for this game:
• 1. Fix the stake on the flat surface (floor, ground,
table, etc.)
• 2. Set up a throwing point, at least 1,5 m away
from the stake.
• 3. Hold the ring in your dominant hand and throw
it.
12.
13. Ring toss
• How to Make Rings and Stakes for Ring Toss:
• Step 1: Cut Rope - make from four to eight
rings. Cut a length of rope 35 – 50 cm long for
eac
• Step 2: Make a ring - join the two ends of a
piece of rope in a circle and wrap with tape.
Use a shortpiece of tape to hold the ends
together, then wrap a longer piece of tape
tightly around the ropeto secure the ends.
14. Ring toss
• Step 3: Stakes – playing outdoors it can be
simple stick driven into the ground or fixed in
the plank; playing indoors it can be a bottle
