  17. 17. Purpose to classical music People listen to classical music differently to punk, rock and jazz. It has been around for about 200 years and millions of people are still watching it. There is a texture and depth to the music that sounds pleasing and satisfying. Whether its is for film, plays, or just for listening to, classical music express emotions that the composer will want the audience to feel and listen to. Classical music is very enjoyable and pleasing for me to hear and I hope you will have the same opinion as me.
