ASSURE (Friday)
Analyze Learners
My classroom is a private school 7th grade English class. There are 16 students: 9 boys
and 7 girls; 2 girls with vision impairments; 3 students (2 boys and 1 girl) have ADD; 1
student has an IEP; and 1 student has Asperger’s.
State Objectives
Students will spend the class period writing their three-paragraph response to the Wiki
discussion with 100% accuracy.
They will read the rest of chapter one of The Outsiders for the rest of the class after
they’ve written their responses.
Select Methods, Materials, and Media
Computers
Utilize Media and Materials
Students will get on the computers, and write their responses.
Require Student Participation
Each student will respond, even those who are absent on Friday.
Evaluate and Revise
Evaluate: I will check their responses over the weekend, and assess what they think and
how they felt about the topics.
Revise: Depending on the responses I get, I will take their comments into consideration
for the next time I teach that lesson.
