located out of all the DNA extracted from the cells. Once the single gene is cloned, the gene is designed and modified by genetic engineers to
function a certain way inside the plant. The enzymes are used to cut the gene apart while a new gene enters to join the DNA bond. The genes are
bonded back together creating a recombinant DNA. The gene is inserted into the plant cell using one of the transformation methods. In order for the

There are also a number of ethical issues that need to be taken into account when researching teachers. As participant observation the researcher will
have access to the staff room. Teachers in the staff room will feel like they are in a safe environment to express their feelings. The researcher may
hear things from teachers who have not given consent to take part in the research. Does the researcher use this or remain ethical and ignore it?
There are also a number of theoretical issues to consider when researching teachers. The issue of teachers behaving uncharacteristically because they
have an observer in the classroom has already been discussed. In addition to this, any teaching staff who take part may have been selected by senior
members of staff to show the school in the best possible light. This would make the findings unrepresentative and would mean that the findings would
not be able to be generalised to other educational settings.

performing delayed gratification tasks. The analysts wanted to observe the effect of the environment's reliability on the participants' decision making.

also wanted to test their prediction that children have not yet developed the ability to suppress there motive for prompt gratification. During the classic

meditation and stress. Half of the individuals randomly got assigned to take an hour–long class each week for six weeks in "loving–kindness"
mediation. This mediation centered on warm and compassionate thoughts about yourself and others. In the class, participants thought compassionately
about others by thinking their own words, thoughts, feelings, and concerns of life. Then they would expand their thoughts to include their social
relationships with their families, friends, and anyone they had contact. The researchers taught people to silently repeat phrases that would make them

In order to answer the above question, we mist first outline what exactly is meant by 'vertical separation.' This is when a two stages of one operation
in a market becomes housed by two firms, however where one company is the monopoly provider, the parent owner is also the provider of the
complimentary good, the owner being the 'infrastructure manager'. The incentive is to instil competition in the market. Alternatively, when a large
company distributes various tasks or a component of a goods production process into sections, either division or geographical, this is also known as

Structurally speaking, there are various management options open to the monopoly owner on how to designate the segmented firms, such as vertical

keep one idea in mind, and that is what effect would result from the industry or company being managed as a single firm or being segmented into

I am, as a researcher, a product of who I am as a person, and who I am as a person is a result of my race, class, gender, and sexuality. I am the

Mehra (2002) explains further –'A researcher's personal beliefs and values are reflected not only in the choice of methodology and interpretation of
findings, but also in the choice of a research topic. In other words, what we believe in determines what we want to study.'
Positivism verses Interpretivism Approach:
"Interpretive research begins and ends with the biography and self of the researcher." (Denzin, 1989, p.12). The positivist researcher is not affected by
the subject of the research because he makes generalizations. (Saunders, 2003 p. 83). When the investigator is a positivist, he tends to use methods like
experiments, surveys and field studies to generate data. In this approach, the interviewer is more likely to be an outsider which means that the
investigator does not have any relation with the study group.
From the other point of view, interpretivism is about opinions, views and perceptions the people experience in every day life. For example, people
