2. INTRODUCTION
 Autism known as autism spectrum disorder.
 The word Autism comes from the Greek word ‘autos’ meaning ‘self’.
The term describes conditions in which person is removed from
social interaction.
 Eugen Bleuler, psychiatrist, first used the term in Switzerland.
 It was discovered when group of scientists studied behaviors of
group of kids and saw that some where more socially withdrawn.

3. DEFINITION OF AUTISM
It is defined by the presence of abnormal and or impaired
development that is manifest before the age of 3 years,
characterized by abnormalities of social development
,communication and restriction of behavior and a restriction
of behavior and interest .

6. SOCIAL
INTERACTION
 Very withdrawn .
 Does not play interactive games well with others.
 Is not very good at making friends .
 Does not respond very well with eye contact or smiles and
almost always avoids eye contact.
 Shows a lack of empathy.
 Prefers to spend time by themselves , rather than with others .

10. HOW TO DIAGNOSE AUTISM ?
Monitors your child development : ASD involves a variety of delays
( social , emotional and cognitive).
Take action if you are concerned : every child develops at a different
pace but if your child is not meeting the milestones for his or her age or
you suspect a problem share with your doctor.
Don’t accept a wait and see approach : waiting is the worst thing you
can do you risk loosing valuable time at an age where your child has the
best chance for improvement.

god’s giving they can teach
you that caring needs no
words…autism. Is a way of
beautiful being it’s pervasive
it colors every sensation,
perception, emotion and
every as aspect of human
kind…
