 My Job is
  done let
Penguin do
 the work.

Google on 24th April 2012 implemented its update and webspam algorithm
had hit the world wide websites badly.
A major dip in traffic noticed across the world.
The webspam update was officially named as Penguin.
Penguin was
                                      my favorite
                                    bird, but now I
                                       hate the
                                    F****** word
                                       Penguin.

Penguin update had taken the toll and it affected small and medium
businesses adversely.
I no more want
                                          to work as
                                           Internet
                                          marketer….

Some were frustrated to such an extent, that they had decided to give up
“Internet Marketing” profession.
Time for Job
                                                                  change…

Some preferred to follow the thought, “Change is the only constant in life”
For those small businesses and internet marketing firms, earning from
Google have decided to wrap up businesses.
Some business owners were in a mood to teach Google a lesson, so they
decided to file a petition against Google.
Now as it is a un-deniable fact that Google has affected the websites badly. Those
who practicing right techniques proved out to be winners. Those websites detected
as spammy or over-optimized were punished severely.

Google has done its job, now its our turn to tackle the situation wisely. As it said by
some great person “Where there is a will, there is always a way”
Now you are hit by the demon called Penguin, so its time to understand how it
works, why is it penalizing websites. We’ll try to understand some guidelines from
Google.

•Make pages primarily for users, not for search engines. Don't deceive your users or present different
content to search engines than you display to users, which is commonly referred to as "cloaking."

•Avoid tricks intended to improve search engine rankings. A good rule of thumb is whether you'd feel
comfortable explaining what you've done to a website that competes with you. Another useful test is
to ask, "Does this help my users? Would I do this if search engines didn't exist?"

•Don't participate in link schemes designed to increase your site's ranking or PageRank. In
particular, avoid links to web spammers or "bad neighborhoods" on the web, as your own ranking may
be affected adversely by those links.

•Don't use unauthorized computer programs to submit pages, check rankings, etc. Such programs
consume computing resources and violate our Terms of Service. Google does not recommend the use
of products such as WebPosition Gold™ that send automatic or programmatic queries to Google.
•Avoid hidden text or hidden links.

•Don't use cloaking or sneaky redirects.

•Don't send automated queries to Google.

•Don't load pages with irrelevant keywords.

•Don't create multiple pages, subdomains, or domains with substantially duplicate content.

•Don't create pages with malicious behavior, such as phishing or installing viruses, trojans, or
other badware.

•Avoid "doorway" pages created just for search engines, or other "cookie cutter" approaches
such as affiliate programs with little or no original content.

•If your site participates in an affiliate program, make sure that your site adds value. Provide
unique and relevant content that gives users a reason to visit your site first.
To be an expert your basics need to be perfect. Make sure you are following the guidelines
by Google.

 Your Website
•Website Structure: If your website is not user and search engine friendly, you are lacking the
most important aspect. Check the flaws and get rid of those immediately.

•Meta Tags: Check title and meta tags for uniqueness.

•Content: Content plays an important role in SEO, analyze the content quality.

•Duplicate Pages: Check for duplicate pages, as these pages harm the website rankings a lot.

•Error Pages: Check for error pages and get rid of the same, design a well optimized 404 page.

to improve the value of your website.

quite crucial for deciding upon the strategy to heal the penguin curse.

 Back-links

Websites generating back-links using spammy techniques and from paid resources were
targeted more, analyze back-links and get rid of unwanted ones.
•Socialize content: The valuable content on your websites need to be socialized through
various social sharing websites.

•Blog post exchange: Connect with like-minded businesses and contribute blog posts, opinion
to one-another's blogs.

•Facebook Interaction: Need to reach out to relevant businesses and interact with those
businesses through their facebook page.

•Buy social ads: Target demographic and complementary brands/services on
Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

•Spend Time on Other Relevant Websites: You need to spend some quality time on your
niche websites, forums and blogs, keep interacting and slowly start promoting your website.

•Blog More: Keep adding quality content to your blogs, this will not only attract visitors but
also search engine bots.
•Video Promotion: More the visibility, more are the chances of getting promoted, adding
some videos for educating your targeted audience can help to get you a fine exposure.

•Google Plus Page: Create a Google+ page, as Google pays unnatural interest in Google+
when ranking content, authors, and users in SERPs.
