Teachers comments
1. Ferris – good detail on use of camera and mise-en-scene, but take care with terminology and
use it correctly. Sound that is part of the film world is diegetic.
Sherlock – some nice detail in use of camera but other elements could have used some detail –
editing?
Matrix – some detail but the writing becomes to descriptive at times. You say slow motion is
important but then don’t write why.
Dark Knight – some good detail but you need to be more analytical, less descriptive. Why is
sound used not just how?
2. Some information on genre but lacks good detail. What are the classic narratives? What is the
role of the hero? What are the key conventions? Why are they so popular now? Who are the key
directors and actors?
3. Some info on your target audience but lacks good detail. What are their other interests? What do
they watch? What do they play? Do they like other superhero movies?
4. Good effective script with clear links to genre. Needs redrafting as some words are spaced out.
5. No second draft. – Script redrafted. Better.
6. Storyboard is simple but very effective. Good key information added at times.
7. Lots of very good detail with technical information added.
8. Clear design with very good detail. Should come in very handy.
9. Location chosen but little detail on why. Images needed.
10.Some good detail given on choices and links to character. Images needed.
11.Some detail given but very brief. Images needed.
12.Some good detail given but very brief. Images needed. Added.
13.Missing – Good breakdown of equipment needed including post-prod.
14.Good detail on shooting dates - but could have detail on what is needed for each stage of
production. Detail now added of equipment and what will happen.
Check your spelling!! Use capital letters for film titles and characters.
