By Kane Torbett
2. Front cover
• Made sure to use eye catching colours.
• Made sure to include interesting topics, such as
interviews with new artists and reviews of the latest
material.

the younger subset because they enjoy getting free
stuff.
• Props that associate with the rock/metal genre.
(Guitars/ drum kits).
• Used clothing that fit the genre.
• Used a cover line to let readers know there is an
interview with the ‘new’ artist.

• Included an image of an appropriate props that relate
to the genre of rock/metal such as a guitar image that
associates with the rock/metal genre.
• Made sure the text was readable so that people would
not be put off by the fact that they cannot read it. I did
this by getting feedback from other students and
teachers, using that feedback to my advantage and
changing the font, colours and texture of my text.
• Included interviews with famous artists.
• Included a range of bands to reach various readers.
4. Double page
• Image that relates to the featured artist and
genre.
• Effects that go with the colour scheme.
• Props that associate with the rock/metal genre,
such as the interviewed artist on a drum kit.
• Used clothing that suits the genre, this would
appeal to my target audience because it fits the
stereotype of a ‘rocker’, through their image.
• Interview with a new artist, this would appeal to
the younger subset because the artist is young.
