3. The Corporate Resource Cell (CRC), St. Xavier’s College,
facilitates the process of placement for the students
besides collaborating with organizations in setting up of
training program for the students.
The CRC, at St. Xavier’s College, is dedicated to
partnering with Corporate, various industrial
associations, NGOs and others organizations with an
objective to help the students understand the
organizations and their requirements as well as prepare
the students not only for their first job but also for a
lifetime.
4. At St. Xavier’s College, the students are given the
opportunity to undergo 6 to 8 weeks summer Internship
in various companies in almost every field of the
industry. The program is supported by the Corporate
Resource Cell and is coordinated through the mentors.
The purpose of these trainings is:
To provide student with an opportunity to become more
aware of the vast opportunities that exist in corporate.
To provide an experience the specialized knowledge in
their desired career field.
5. The Corporate Resource Cell will constantly interact with
Companies for campus selection and assist in the process. The
Cell will send them a formal invitation along with a placement
brochure to initiate the placement process on the campus. A
company can address the entire batch on the campus. Based on
their interest, the students may apply, followed by a shortlist
and further processes.
Companies can also invite resumes of the students before hand
and revert with a shortlist. The short listed students can then be
taken through the rest of the processes which would be
followed by the declaration of the final result.
6. Set up training and placement letters and brochures.
Develop and enhance corporate interactions.
Organize soft skill seminars and workshops.
Organize regular skill tests, group discussions and
mock interviews.
Organize industrial visits for the students.
Assist the students in summer internship and final
placement.
Fulfill other Job related tasks.
7. Initial requirements at CRC: (as and when needed)
A Separate place to work.
A Telephone connection with internet facility.
A Computer connection with printer.
Transportation assistance at the time of corporate
meetings for the purpose of training and placement,
if any.
Stationary with College letter heads.
Assistance from the class mentors.
Two student coordinators.
