This magazine is to develop an understanding
of the building team, its organization, their duties,
responsibilities and the inter-relationship within
which they will seek employment, career progression
or further study.
An interview with a civil engineer is included in
this magazine.5 questions about engineer are
provided during the interview so that we are able to
understand more about engineer.
I would like to thank to my teammate who

3. Mr.Chen Ghee Kheong
Mr.Chen,as the construction
director in Binastra Group,takes
part in all phases of both
residential and commercial
construction projects.
He is also fully and actively
involved in overall daily group
construction arm administration
and projects operation.He leads
and guide groups of
management organization and
construction teams.
To ensure project
safety,compliance and quality
control policies,he addresses
architectural and structural
issues.
He is widely recognised for his commitment, shear
hard work and determination. His philosophy is “seeing
opportunity in every difficulties”. Try looking our
problems from different perspectives. He believes
teamwork and good understanding amongst team
members are the key to achieve objectives.

Civil Engineering. He has
high exposure in the
construction and
development industry
with over 23 years of
experience. Extremely
resourceful having
completed numerous
commercial buildings,
condominiums, hotel and
infrastucture works,He has
gained strong networks and
supports in related field and
attained great confidence in
the market.

A:Depends on how you understand about
engineer.Certain skill and knowledge are
required. Engineer also involved in design
stage in the field of construction electrical,
mechanical electronic and monitoring from
designing to work stage
A:Engineer involved in design stage for
structural and infrastructure. An
engineer also need to fulfill the
requirement of architect.
A:During design stage, engineer have to
look into safety and practicality of design
and cost . An engineer is also responsible
for 5M(money , management . man
power , material , machinery)

A:One should be able to play the role overseeing
the work and him or herself, sensitive to requirement
and society needs, ethical in work, sincere,
hardworking and solve problems from time to time

setting up position , material usage , space.
An engineer may also meet problems on cooperate of
project(multi-task), coordination and disturbancy.
