6. When comparing the preliminary task to the magazine cover you can see that
the main images on both are taking up the majority of the pages which is
conventional for said genres. They both have coverlines on the front
highlighting different elements within both magazine and newsletter alike,
however, the house style on the magazine is obviously more consistent and
similar than it is on the preliminary task. The magazine also uses more
content with the use of cover stories and coverline content. The magazine
also shows my progression in marketing as it has a barcode, price and issue
number, whereas the newsletter only has a issue number.
7. From looking at the contents you can see an obvious difference when comparing
the two. Firstly the image on the preliminary task is a unedited wide shot,
however, on my magazine contents there are two edited images using a close up
and mid shot. My professional magazine has much more content than the
preliminary task and it uses a range of colours, whereas, the preliminary contents
only uses one colour and a small amount of content. Also route of the eye is used
on the magazine contents as it is more professional and needs to attract the
target audience more effectively than the preliminary contents.
