Mobile Viewpoint (MVP) develops complete solutions for live wireless video and data
transmission for the media, production and news gathering industry. MVP manufactures
adaptive video encoders using single or multiplexed 3G and 4G connections. By bun-
dling multiple (mobile) connections together it is possible to create a connection with
higher, reliable and more stable bandwidth.
Mobile Viewpoint is based in the Netherlands and has offices in Bangkok, Boston, Delhi,
Dubai, Toronto and Shanghai. In other territories MVP operates through a network of

BACKPACK SOLUTIONS
TheWMT Expert bundles up to 8 mobile network channels
(LTE, HSPA+, HSUPA,HSDPA and UMTS) of one or multiple
operators into a single broadband channel to provide
sufficient upload capacity for video and other high
volume data. In addition it is also possible to add Wi-Fi and
Ethernet connections to maximize the upload capacity.
This makes a total of 10 bonded connections on a single
WMT.
WMT EXPERT WMT EXPERT-265
During NAB 2014 we will showcase our new generation
WMT Expert models which will run H.265 and Google’s
VP-9 codec. Since the release of the H.265 specifications,
Mobile Viewpoint has been working on the integration of
H.265. This will also open up the possibility to stream 4K
over 4G in the foreseeable future. Due to the extensive
computation requirements we will introduce a new
hardware platform, WMT Expert-265. The new platform
will become available shortly after NAB with an enhanced
version of our rewarded H.264 codec which can be
upgraded with H.265 end of Q2 2014. The new WMT
Expert-265 will have the same dimensions compared to
the current WMT Expert.

3G-S WMT LITE

The 3G-S Mobile Communicator (3G-S) is a small handheld
device with removable battery and dual 3G/4G modem
containing a stereo AAC encoder for live radio and an SD
H.264 video encoder.
The MVP iPhone/Android client is part of the WMT portfo-
lio using the same receiver hardware.The MVP iPhone/An-
droid client uses similar algorithms as the WMT to ensure
the highest quality video although using one connection.

When a fixed delay of 2, 5 or 10 seconds is selected this will
remain the end-to-end delay during the complete broad-
cast. This is what we consider ‘fixed delay time’. IFB or
return audio is also available at less than a second delay.
The upload capacity of the WMT ranges between 500
kbps and 5 Mbps. The WMT utilizes its bundling technolo-
gy to become a high volume data Store & Forward unit.
This means that the WMT uses its entire available upload
bandwidth to transport any kind of file through its
connections to an FTP server.

The 3G-S is a flexible module that can be used both as a
handheld device or as a body worn device. The 3G-S is
focused on the transmission of live video, audio and data
via a bonded mobile connection. The 3G-S uses 2 SIM’s
from (preferably) different operators, creating a stable
and reliable connection. The 3G-S has an easy to use
touch screen making sure you can start broadcasting
within seconds.

The Live App
The MVP app grabs the video from the iPhone/Android
back or front camera and encodes the video with H.264
and audio with AAC. Based on the available bandwidth
the encoding is adapted to ensures transmission of the
best possible video quality with the shortest possible
fixed delay time. The transmission is decoded by the WMT
server and played back by the WMT playout via SDI or
analogue outputs.

has a composite video and analogue audio output such as
a bullet cam or handy cam. Based on your requirements

SL-25 SL-45
The SL-45 encoder is a 19 inch 2U high system with two
bonded Ethernet connections which can be expanded
with eight 3G/4G modems. The SL-45 is the ideal back up
solution for SNG trucks, but also enables any video vehicle
with a bonded wireless uplink.
The solution can be delivered point to point or via a backend server.The backend server is available in two configurations.The
basic backend server can handle 2 SL-45 encoders and 2 playout systems and store up to 25 hours of D1 video (depending on
the hardware version). The premium backend server can handle 20 SL-45 encoders and 20 playout systems and store up to
100 hours of D1 video (depending on the hardware version).

location without any available satellite uplink? Or would
you like to have the ability to send high volume data
through High Speed FTP connection on location? The
WMT™ bundles up to 8 mobile network channels (LTE,

The SL-25 encoder is a 19 inch 1U high system with two
Ethernet connections. One for management purposes and
one for connection with the public internet. The system
supports both DHCP and fixed IP number configuration
via the front LCD panel.

The SL-10 is a mobile IP encoder and is part of the WMT
Wireless Camera Package.The SL-10 can be carried around
or mounted at the back of a camera and can connect via
wired or wireless IP with aWMT AccessPoint modem locat-
ed remotely. The WMT AccessPoint can bond up to 8
modems without video encoding capabilities.
The WMT Wireless Camera Package solution gives maxi-
mum mobility even in areas where mobile network availa-
bilty is limited.
The SL-10 is available in a package with the WMT Access-
Point, or in combination with an LTE++. The WMT Access-
Point is an IP router using 4 to 8 bonded 3G/4G connec-
tions to create a high bandwidth/availability connection
with the Internet.
The SL-10 is enabled with two Wifi modems (5,4/2,4 Ghz)
which can connect with the WMT AccessPoint or any
other Wi-Fi access point. Due to its audio only capabilities
it can be used for low delay radio as well.

Point to point or backend server
The management interface is WEB based and makes it
possible to configure maximum bitrate, video resolution
and delay. Also the IP configuration can be done via the
WEB interface. The solution can be delivered point to
point or via a backend server. The basic backend Server
can handle 2 SL-25 encoders and 2 playout systems and
store up to 25 hours of D1 video.
Management Interface
The system supports both DHCP and fixed IP number
configuration and has a separate LCD touch screen for
management and configuration. The system can also be
managed via the WEB using the Videomanager portal
panel and makes it possible to configure maximum
bitrate, video resolution and delay.

With the WMT Audio Report, Mobile Viewpoint introduces
a professional audio device for live radio reporting. With
two balanced line and microphone inputs and 4 bonded
LTE modems the WMT AR is the best you can get for low
delay audio reports using bonded 3G/4G connections.
The WMT AR is a combination of a high quality audio
amplifier and proven WMT bonding technology.
AUDIO SOLUTION
The WMT™ Tooway option facilitates the bonding of
satellite IP links and 3G/4G mobile network links. Due to
this unique combination it is possible to shoot live content
and start moving without any interruptions. The bonding
technology of the system will use the mobile network
links when the satellite link drops. It is also possible to use
the Tooway satellite link as a back-up when using 3G/4G.
The WMT™ Tooway can bundle up to 8 mobile network
channels (LTE, HSPA+, HSUPA, HSDPA and UMTS) and a
Tooway satellite IP link into a single broadband channel
providing sufficient upload capacity for video and other
high volume data. With Tooway enabled, bandwidth can
be fixed anywhere between 1 and 4 Mbit depending on
subscription. Due to the WMT's unique error resilience
algorithms, packet loss or data corruption will be repaired
and ensures 100% video quality without interruptions.
The video is encoded with our own H264 codec, which will
automatically determine the available bandwidth and
continuously transmit on the highest available quality
possible. This ensures transmission of the best possible
video quality with the shortest possible fixed delay time.
