more than 900 volunteers, provide more
than$2 million each year in cash and in-kind
assistance to keep families in their homes.
4. • Our main food pantry, located next to the
Montgomery County Job Center, is the largest
in the Dayton community and serves up to
1,000 households every month.
5. • Partnering with US Veterans Affairs
Administration, our Supportive Services for
Veteran Families program is working to
bring homelessness among veteran
households to virtual zero.
6. • St. Vincent de Paul’s two Community Stores
offer affordable household and clothing items
for low income families.
7. • Since 1985, St. Vincent de Paul has provided
shelter to homeless individuals and families
more than 3,000,000 times. We started 31
years ago in an old fire station and now
operate two 24/7 facilities providing 130,000
units of shelter each year to more than 4,000
men, women, and children.
8. • For clients with significant barriers we offer
supportive housing with on-site case
management at the DePaul Center for homeless
men, Kettering Commons for homeless
households with disabilities, and Safe Haven for
adults with serious mental health issues.
9. • Support St. Vincent de Paul financially. $.88 out of
every dollar donated to St. Vincent de Paul goes
directly to support our programs and services.

on West Apple St. is open 24 hours a day. Or call
us at 222-5555 to arrange a pick-up of your large
household items.
• Donate your vehicle. It’s a simple process, and the
proceeds from the sale of your car, motorcycle or
boat directly support our programs and services.
10. • Volunteer at one of our facilities. More than 2,000
volunteers make a difference each year at St. Vincent
de Paul by serving or preparing meals, answering the
phones, helping with laundry or special projects.
