SupportAbility has helped over 450 deserving students – its priority, Rewarding Courage.
As we begin our fifteenth year, I am thrilled to report that we were able to reward 42
courageous students in 2015 - bringing the total amount SupportAbility has awarded to
deserving high school seniors to over $420,000.00! Their courage to face obstacles and
succeed is what makes them deserving!
In June many of you attended our Golf Tournament and Reception at the Santa Ana Country
Club hosted by Jack and Katharine Trotter. There you met some past and present recipients.
It was an inspiring evening and we learned first hand how your contributions are investments
in their futures when you contribute to the Julie Inman Courage Award or our memorial
awards.
Recently I read that ”every 26 minutes another high school student has dropped out” … 1.2
million each year!! After learning this I’m even more gratified and proud to be in the position
to Reward Courage! I know from experience the power of support and recognition. The Julie
Inman Courage Award gives that acknowledgment to students.
