Suzy Shier has repeatedly partnered
with various women’s organizations
to help clothe women in desperate
situations.

4. Weekend to End Women’s Cancer
Since 2012 Suzy Shier has been an active participant in this 60KM
marathon that runs two days across Toronto. They have raised well over
$100,000 for the cause and encourage people both online and in store
to donate for the cure against cancer.

5. Make-A-Wish Foundation
West Island’s Women Shelter
Suzy Shier is a continuous bronze level sponsor with the Make-A-Wish
Foundation. Around the holiday season is when customers can especially
notice the partnership with donation options requested at every transaction.
In November of 2021 Suzy Shier donated 1000 outfits to be sold at auction to
contribute to the West Island’s Women Shelter. The shelter holds an annual
Days of Action to End Violence Against Women from Nov. 25 – Dec. 6.

6. The Tom Martin Scholarship for
Learning
The scholarship is awarded to a Suzy Shier
employee who would find attending college
difficult financially. The award is $5,000 to help
pay tuition expenses.

• Getting involved with charities brings about
a strong positive image for the company and
people will want to shop with them simply
because of the morals the company has.
• Making donations and holding events with
outside organizations is great for press
release as they often do not have to pay for
these other companies to spread their name.
• Helping employees with their finances
through scholarships and post-education
lowers their turnover rates and brings up
morale.
• Community involvement pulls at people’s
heartstrings, making them eager to support
the company.
