2. Rationale :
• Traveling allows many people to become familiar with
the world under seas. Some people will even get the
chance to see what is below the surface. For those of
us who cannot the internet allows us the opportunity to
witness Coral Reefs up close & personal. We can all
relate to the heartening burden that is the
disappearing of the Coral Reefs. Technology helps
students learn more about Coral Reefs. – Where they
typically come from, what they look like & what we can
do to help?
Technology Integration
3. Internet Content
• The internet gives students the opportunity to take it upon
themselves to search for different ways to learn and observe
different types of Coral Reefs. There are endless amounts of
sites that provide extensive information from photos, to
videos as well as detailed websites that thoroughly explain
Coral Reefs.

6. Internet Podcasts
• Podcasts allow students the
opportunity to sit back and
relax while listening to what
is being spoken to them.
• Students and teachers can
find podcasts all throughout
the internet.
• Podcasts work well for
students who prefer to listen
and not take part in
kinesthetic and visual
learning.

Editor's Notes
This blog expresses in great depth what hardships the Coral Reefs are dealing with.
This first video is a great way to introduce the topic of Coral Reefs so that students can get a glance of what a Coral Reef is. This allows students a visual and auditory way of learning which will benefit them when using a different teaching method later on.
KWL charts are crucial to understanding what prior knowledge a student has on a specific topic. KWL charts also let a teacher see what a child is anticipating to find out and learn in the subject.
Word Searches allow children the opportunity to play a game while learning new vocabulary as well as familiarizing oneself with previously learned vocabulary.
