Study the Internet – Govern the
Internet
Russian National Internet Championship was
announced in May 2012, at the booth of the general
partner of the championship, Rostelecom company,
during the SVIAZEXPOCOMM-2012 exhibition.
Senior high school students from various Moscow
schools were invited to take part in the public
tournament, and special game equipment was installed
for the event

The championship announced to take place in fall 2012
and registration was opened.
Russian National Championship

The First Russian National Internet Championship - October 2012 .
Participants: school teams (up to 10 participants) and individuals.
The participants had 1 hour to complete as many assignments as they could, with all the
assignments based on the online game.
Four best teams and ten individual winners were rewarded with certificates and valuable
prizes (netbooks and tablets).
Rostelecom as a Sponsor.

Numbers and facts:
•

More than 10 educational and IT portals became media partners of the event

•

More than 100 articles were published about the event

•

More than 3000 students from all over Russia took part in the individual games

•

More than 500 school teams (10 people each) took part in team games

•

More than 8000 participants in total participated in the event
Creating an educational game portal
based on the existing Game / scenarios
Croud-sourcing with CITYCELEBRITY
Open scalable platform for collaboration
Any developer and any university team from anywhere in Russia will
be able to contribute to the platform using the crowdsourcing engine

 Panel discussions with various mobile and online game developers,
teachers, as well as specialists in education, innovation and knowledge
popularization (the first discussion was already held on August 29

 Quizzes of teachers, parents and the participants themselves
 Contests
