FINAL TASK. HISTORY.
History is important. We all know our dad´s name, when we were born, where our grandma
lived, etc… All this information affects our lives but… Do we know about our ancestors. From
this moment on, we will live a fascinating learning about ourselves because everything that
happened in the past affects our present.
To start with we can divide History into five big periods:
 Prehistory.
 Ancient civilizations.
 Medieval times.
 Modern age.
 Contemporary age.
You will choose one of this periods and you will investigate at least about these aspects:
 A timeline with the most important events or at least the approximate number of
years included in the period.
 A brief explanation of one or two very important things that happened.
 People in that period ( you can talk about aspect, clothes, ways of living).
 Some cities or buildings that were very important and why.
 Something that have changed a lot.
 You can include a lot of things apart from all of this: Religion, children in the period,
cities, architecture, food...
I will post in the blog page http://inthemoodforsugus.blogspot.com.es/ a lot of links that
may help you to prepare your work. I will tell you in a few days what period are you going
to focus on, so be very attentive in class and take notes that may help you.
Remember that I will also evaluate English in your work and at the ed you will also tell the
class about it. I will pay special attention to these aspects:
 Use of capital letters, full stops…. And organization.
 Connectors will help you a lot ( First, then, when….. after that…… finally…., at the
beginning, at the end…..)
 As it is about the past, obviously you will use verbs in the past (remember that you
always need a subject).
 It should have clear ideas, so it is good if you write a heading and then, all having
to do with it.
 Include some drawings or photos.
 I appreciate that you take risks, this is your last project this year and I will love that
you apply everything you know about language.
 Be creative.
GOOD LUCK!
