though, mark him as a man who has defeated the
idea of “common.”
Underline your thesis statement.
6. Underline your Point (Topic sentence or main
assertion) in each paragraph.
Draw an arrow that points to your Information: “This
will be a quotation or summarized event from the
text”
“Circle your in-text citation” (Palmore 2).
Underline your E (your explanation and analysis).
