many people who are simply crazy about cars. An essay on car is a very interesting thing to do.
One can write a lot about a car in an essay. An essay on car mentions the different kinds of cars, its
basic utility, different features of car, etc. There are many people who have very vague
knowledge about the cars but still are interested in spending money on buying cars. It is quite

In college, I studied illustrated books from an academic standpoint. I went to Vassar, where
children's book writer Nancy Willard was on faculty. She introduced me to illustrator Barry Moser,
and the interview he gave me was the centerpiece of my senior thesis. While I was there, I spent
three years as a student assistant in Vassar's lab pre–school, and after graduation found work as an
assistant teacher in a Montessori school, teaching 6–9 year olds. That year, I began to write a novel
with my father – through the mail. I was in Chicago and he was in New York. We thought it would
be a fun way to keep in touch. I wrote a chapter – then he wrote a chapter. We rewrote each other's
chapters. And rewrote them again. It took a long time, but eventually that story was published as

These can also be highly informal and done in a large group setting. If introducing a new topic,
start by just asking some real easy questions regarding the topic and then write them down on a
large piece of paper. This gives the students a visual aide and allows the teacher to have bases of
what information the kids know and what still needs to be addressed. Students on most occasions
tend to truly like this assessment because it gives them a chance to speak and be heard. Some
students on the other hand do not actually like it unless they are in a one on one setting with a teacher.
Oral Assessment instruments should have an acceptable level of reliability in terms of internal
consistency, test and re–test reliability and alternative form reliability. Its content must also have the
necessary validity to be a valid assessment instrument, must be predictive and concurrent.

The Different Types of Media Essay
The Different Types of Media
I think that all different types of media have lots of different influences on society, especially
individuals. There is an enormous variety of media including; television, newspapers, radio,
magazines, advertisements etc. It seems that the more developed that society gets, the harder it
becomes to escape media. One of the most common forms of media is advertisements.
Advertisements are not only one of the most common forms of media but also one of the most
over–exposed types of media there is. This is because advertisements appear in every single type of
other media there is, therefore making advertisements are an essential way for people to 'advertise',

From soaps, like Coronation Street, to documentaries, like a day to remember, there's something for
all ages and makes it hard for people not to get infected by this contagious disease. Some people
might argue that television is a waste of time that could be better spent or that it displaces the brain
of useful information, when in fact these people are mistaken. With televisions powerful
documentaries it encourages everyone to take an interest in something and to learn about a passion
or maybe teach them how to carry out a dream. Television actually develops and nurtures the mind.
Even soaps have a secret hidden agenda of teaching the viewer about topics some people are too
scared to talk about or confront. For example a recent storyline in Coronation Street about an
emotional violent relationship shows that just because someone doesn't show bruises doesn't mean
they aren't in a abusive relationship. Soaps also feature stories of transvestites, child abductions,
murders, child neglect etc. putting these on a television screen educates people about everyday
things that other people believe shouldn't be discussed.
Radio is another form of media, however it's less extreme. Radio generally reaches out to the
younger generation with popular radio stations, like Galaxy 102 and Key 103, they feature what is
known as popular music, dance and R'n'B. it encourages

Different Learning Styles
Students have different ways to learn. Some people are hands on learners or visual learners. Teachers
try to adapt the way they teach; to the way their students learn the best. The information that is being
taught should be made fun so that the students remember the information. Schools are also using new
technology to help students learn. Different learning styles have different effects on people.
Different learning styles are the talk of many school districts from near and far. The study of

The Types Of Knowledge And Knowledge Essay
The ability to understand different forms of knowledge as well as the ability to differentiate
between the types of knowledge is very vital in day to day life. Different philosophers have
discovered different types of knowledge including personal knowledge, procedural knowledge and
propositional knowledge. Of the three types, propositional knowledge also known as knowledge of
facts is that which many philosophers have really dwelled on. However, it is very important to have
knowledge regarding the relationship between the three types of knowledge. Propositional
knowledge has been further grouped into four categories including logical, semantic, systemic and
empirical knowledge (Rundquist). Different authors have tried to explain the aspect of knowledge
by using different practical life examples in their lives. Chris Baldick, Mary Shelly, Christa
Knellwolf and Jane Goodall and Marilyn Butler. Although all the authors present a different story,
they base their argument on the same theme of knowledge. Every individual is entitled to acquire
knowledge regarding their lives regardless of the situation in which they are in.
Assembling Frankenstein was written by Chris Baldick describing the life of Frankenstein who is
repulsed because the monster contains several pieces of others rather just being a single whole
thing. In a philosophical point of view, the world is a huge constitution of fragments or pieces of
aspects rather than a single thing (Shelley). The modern society is

better. Being an overconfident person is also beneficial, as we won't get nervous easily and our
performances will be better. This kind of person isn't scared to take some risks as they have trust
and confidence in themselves. This kind of person has potential to be a really successful person in
the future. I have a friend that is really confident that when he performed for a speech competition at
school, he can speak fluently without any hesitation that made him the winner of the competition.
We can learn a lot from this kind of person. I learn that correct proportion of something, even the
thing we take as something bad, before, can turn into something good. We have to be able to
measure how confident we can be while with friends and when the confidence is really needed.
Being a competitive person can be advantageous, as this kind of person wants to be the best in
everything. As they want to be the best in everything, they will work and study harder than any
other people. They will try as hard as they can to be the best. As a result, they will get good marks

Essay Of English As A Global Language
Language is an apparatus enabling people to interact with each other (Wright, 1999). Education,
trade and economics all contribute to the development of a language, being globally recognised.
Linguistics enables individuals to learn, teach and to develop their own unique dialect that would
help them to communicate with people. Due to globalization, English is the only global language
used internationally for economic, political and business reasons and no other languages can
compete against it due to having military, economic and political power. Despite English as a global
language, it diminishes minority languages, people however, choose to learn English as it provides

However, linguist mixed the community and people did not rely on people translating anymore.
Hence this issue was solved by Pidgin and Lingua Franca. The term Pidgin is defined as a mixture
of distinct languages being able to communicate with another. Furthermore, the advancement and
growth of English expands globally. For example, English dominates academic books, media and
technology. Even though languages are being wiped off due to having one global language, people
choose to learn English; for example most popular and awaited movies are from English films even
though Bollywood tries to compete with Hollywood – Hollywood is still coming first in the ladder
for best film production. Moreover, due to the increasing usage of internet, the strength of English
language becomes enforceable in the computer. The economic and trade amongst countries is also
accomplished by English, also Food packages that individuals eat and gadget that people use all have
instructions in English. Buck (2005) stated that English has the top position and 30% of the
population is "reasonably competent" as it is helpful in the fields of economy, politics and commerce
allowing individuals to gain employment opportunities when fluent in English. Political bodies,
economic power and many commercial institutions all use English language as a source of
communication. Trudgill, (2000) stated that more than 80% of academic, scientific and technological

Types of Intelligence Essay examples
Types of Intelligence The meaning of intelligence is a concept that varies across cultures and
ideologies. According to psychologists "intelligence is the capacity to understand the world, think
rationally, and use resources effectively when faced with challenges." (Feldman, R. S. 2010). Due to
the different types of human capabilities, there are different types of human intelligence. Some
intelligence is expressed mentally as in existential, intrapersonal, and spatial intelligences. Existential
intelligence is the capacity and inclination to consider and question philosophically. People with this
type of intelligence are very comfortable with concepts like the meaning of life, the purpose of death,
and other realities. Intrapersonal...show more content...
Musical/Rhythmic intelligence is also physical intelligence. This form of intelligence is more than
being able to keep accurate rhythm or play an instrument. People with this type of intelligence think
in musical terms, they live musically; music is a part of their being. Naturalist Intelligence: the
ability to discriminate among living things (plants, animals) and sensitivity to other features of the
natural world (clouds, rock configurations) (Gardner H. n.d.). Although, this type of intelligence was
necessary for hunting and gathering civilizations; I believe that Jacque Cousteau had this type of
intelligence. The more familiar forms of intelligence are linguistic, interpersonal, and logical
/mathematical intelligence. Linguistic intelligence is necessary for authors, attorneys, and anyone
whose bread and butter is made through language. Interpersonal intelligence is defined as the ability
to understand other people. Yet, I find that empathy, and wisdom must be included for the
psychological definition of intelligence to exist, or instead of solutions, problems can be created. I
define wisdom as not just knowing what to do, but actually doing it. Logical or mathematical
intelligence is an innate ability to interact with mathematical and scientific principles. Practical
intelligence is needed for success in careers that involve corporations, the military, and other
structured environments. Practical

Non Verbal Communication Essay
Communication
There are types of communication that we use in our daily life, which are: verbal and non–verbal
communication. The way you react to those communications is effective too. Both of these types of
communication can be very effective when you communicate with someone or people. Effective
communication also depends on who we are talking and whether we agree with what they are saying.
Effective communication can solve this friendship breakdown. Non–verbal communication with you
friend could be: eye contact, body language (positive and negative), posture, , facial expressions and

when you make a conscious effort to play a role. Face to face impression (non–verbal) is linked to

Types of Rocks
Types of Rocks
Geologists classify rocks in three groups, according to the major Earth processes that formed them.
The three rock groups are igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks. Anyone who wishes to
collect rocks should become familiar with the characteristics of these three rock groups. Knowing
how a geologist classifies rocks is important if you want to transform a random group of rock
specimens into a true collection.
Igneous rocks are formed from melted rock that has cooled and solidified. When rocks are buried
deep within the Earth, they melt because of the high pressure and temperature; the molten rock
(called magma) can then flow upward or even be erupted from a volcano onto the Earth's surface.
When magma cools slowly,...show more content...
Scuba divers who have seen mud and shells settling on the floors of lagoons find it easy to
understand how sedimentary rocks form.
Sometimes sedimentary and igneous rocks are subjected to pressures so intense or heat so high that
they are completely changed. They become metamorphic rocks, which form while deeply buried
within the Earth's crust. The process of metamorphism does not melt the rocks, but instead
transforms them into denser, more compact rocks. New minerals are created either by rearrangement
of mineral components or by reactions with fluids that enter the rocks. Some kinds of metamorphic
rocks––granite gneiss and biotite schist are two examples––are strongly banded or foliated. (Foliated
means the parallel arrangement of certain mineral grains that gives the rock a striped appearance.)
Pressure or temperature can even change previously metamorphosed rocks into new types.
Rock–forming and rock–destroying processes have been active for billions of years. Today, in the
Guadalupe Mountains of western Texas, one can stand on limestone, a sedimentary rock, that was a
coral reef in a tropical sea about 250 million years ago. In Vermont's Green Mountains one can see
schist, a metamorphic rock, that was once mud in a shallow sea. Half Dome in Yosemite Valley,
Calif., which now stands nearly 8,800 feet above sea level, is composed of quartz monzonite, an
igneous rock that solidified several thousand feet within the

Kids get bullied in school a lot. Sometimes, they do not have the best clothes, or because they are
not economically the same as others. Some get bullied because they are not as social as other
kids and prefer to stay alone most of the time. Physical appearance meaning as in size, color, or
ethnicity can cause a kid to get bullied in school also. What do these kids go through? They get
pushed at in the hallways. They get named called in class with words such as "freak" or "lame".
Not only that, sometimes these kids aren't allowed to sit in certain areas in the lunch tables or they
would get teased at for just being there. The commonest type of bullying is general name calling,

Essay About My English Class
I can remember seeing that I had to take an English class my first semester of college. I was

somebody to receive your perspective. Research your topic so your evidence is convincing. This

These reasons might lead people believe that an arranged marriage will give bad impact to the
child's spouse, but there is some evidence that choosing arranged marriage has positive results.
Opponents of arranged marriages claim that arranged marriages take away the freedom of choice
to the couple. They argue that there will be a lot of pressure of their child to agree with their
parents' expectation. It also leads a question that if the family really loves their daughter, why
they would not allow their daughter makes her own decision? How she can marry with someone
she does not know? However, by doing arranged marriages, it can avoid bad experience before
married. It is because arranged marriages give more security for the woman (Sam, 2012). In an
arranged marriage, the couples do not meet until the wedding date. The parents still control both of
them. Even for some cases, they will talk together about their marriage with the parents also. They
will not be allowed to do more intimate activities before marriage, for example, dating.
Moreover, from Islamic culture point of view, arranged marriages in Islam is the best way in

things (Cook & Cook, 2014). Everyone needs to feel accepted, and children are not far behind, is
important they feel accepted even if their temperament "isn't easy to handle" or just a breeze

A child that has an easy temperament is usually positive, smiles frequently and very easy, can
overcome new situations easily and adapt to the new changes, most of all will have a set schedule
for eating, sleeping and other activities (Cook & Cook, 2014). A difficult temperament is the
opposite of an easy temperament. The child is usually negative and will become frustrated very
easily, any new situations will become a problem, and shows no pattern when it comes to basic
things like eating and sleeping (Cook & Cook, 2014). In another hand, a child that has a
slow–to–warm–up temperament can sometimes have a negative behavior to new things but if
exposure is persistent a better or positive response can be developed (Cook & Cook, 2014). The
better side of a child that has a slow–to–warm–up temperament is that they have "less emotional
reactions" and would actually do better with scheduled times for eating and sleeping (Cook & Cook,

Essay on Types Of Research
Research is done everyday. Research is used in the many different situations managers encounter
everyday. Research is part of the problem–solving manager do to make decisions. Research is
defined as "the process of finding solutions to problem after thorough study and analysis of the
situational factor" (Sekaran, p3, 2003). Managers use research for daily operational problem as well
as bigger problems that can require hired research consultants. Managers who use research are able
to communicate with the hired consultants because they understand the process of inquiry,
investigation, examination, and explanation. Managers are also, capable of understanding the
difference in good and bad studies, and can apply the research done to...show more content...
Applied research is "aimed at solving a currently experienced problem" (Sekaran, p10, 2003). This
research can be as simple as finding solutions to daily operational problems.
One problem managers consistently want research on is the relationship between customer
satisfaction and loyalty. The research found on the relationship of customer satisfaction and loyalty
spans over the past decade. Many researchers argue that there is no relationship between customer
satisfaction and loyalty while others find direct correlations between the two and a business's
profitability. In Roger Hadowell's study, he defines loyalty as both behavioral and attitude while
conducting his research on a banking organization. He states that behaviors including continuance,
increased relationship, and recommendations are all behaviors of loyalty to an organization
(Hadowell, 1996). His research illustrates the "relationship of profitability to customer related
outcomes that managers can influence directly" (Hadowell, 1996). His findings support the
hypothesis that customer satisfaction influences customer loyalty increasing profitability. Hadowell
addresses two difficulties that he encountered during his research. First, work with the organization
in order to develop the ideal measurement system used for the research. Secondly, focus on data
collected over a period of time with strong organizations (Hadowell, 1996).
In the White Page Series, researcher Burke

  • 1. 11 Types of Essay в†ђ EDITORIAL ESSAY Car has become a basic necessity for everyone these days. There are many people who are simply crazy about cars. An essay on car is a very interesting thing to do. One can write a lot about a car in an essay. An essay on car mentions the different kinds of cars, its basic utility, different features of car, etc. There are many people who have very vague knowledge about the cars but still are interested in spending money on buying cars. It is quite unusual to write an essay on cars but it is something different that one can do. You too can write an essay on cars. There are a lot many things that can be written on cars. I went to Vassar, where children's book writer Nancy Willard was on faculty. She introduced me to illustrator Barry Moser, and the interview he gave me was the centerpiece of my senior thesis. While I was there, I spent three years as a student assistant in Vassar's lab pre–school, and after graduation found work as an assistant teacher in a Montessori school, teaching 6–9 year olds. That year, I began to write a novel with my father – through the mail. I was in Chicago and he was in New York. We thought it would be a fun way to keep in touch. I wrote a chapter – then he wrote a chapter. We rewrote each other's chapters. And rewrote them again. It took a long time, but eventually that story was published as The Secret Life of Billie's Uncle Myron. Now I write full time (except when parenting) in a beautiful office in Brooklyn, accompanied by two plump and ancient cats –– the models for the dog characters in That New Animal. Initially, these two terms were considered to be completely irrelevant and sometimes even as a contraposition to each other. Along with the progress came the understanding that the connection does exist and even more than that – in some way these Get more content on HelpWriting.net

There is an enormous variety of media including; television, newspapers, radio, magazines, advertisements etc. It seems that the more developed that society gets, the harder it becomes to escape media. One of the most common forms of media is advertisements. Advertisements are not only one of the most common forms of media but also one of the most over–exposed types of media there is. This is because advertisements appear in every single type of other media there is, therefore making advertisements are an essential way for people to 'advertise', or make...show more content... Some people might argue that television is a waste of time that could be better spent or that it displaces the brain of useful information, when in fact these people are mistaken. With televisions powerful documentaries it encourages everyone to take an interest in something and to learn about a passion or maybe teach them how to carry out a dream. Television actually develops and nurtures the mind. Even soaps have a secret hidden agenda of teaching the viewer about topics some people are too scared to talk about or confront. For example a recent storyline in Coronation Street about an emotional violent relationship shows that just because someone doesn't show bruises doesn't mean they aren't in a abusive relationship. Soaps also feature stories of transvestites, child abductions, murders, child neglect etc. putting these on a television screen educates people about everyday things that other people believe shouldn't be discussed. Radio is another form of media, however it's less extreme. Radio generally reaches out to the younger generation with popular radio stations, like Galaxy 102 and Key 103, they feature what is known as popular music, dance and R'n'B. it encourages Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 5. The Types Of Knowledge And Knowledge Essay The ability to understand different forms of knowledge as well as the ability to differentiate between the types of knowledge is very vital in day to day life. Different philosophers have discovered different types of knowledge including personal knowledge, procedural knowledge and propositional knowledge. Of the three types, propositional knowledge also known as knowledge of facts is that which many philosophers have really dwelled on. However, it is very important to have knowledge regarding the relationship between the three types of knowledge. Propositional knowledge has been further grouped into four categories including logical, semantic, systemic and empirical knowledge (Rundquist). Different authors have tried to explain the aspect of knowledge by using different practical life examples in their lives. Chris Baldick, Mary Shelly, Christa Knellwolf and Jane Goodall and Marilyn Butler. Although all the authors present a different story, they base their argument on the same theme of knowledge. Every individual is entitled to acquire knowledge regarding their lives regardless of the situation in which they are in. Assembling Frankenstein was written by Chris Baldick describing the life of Frankenstein who is repulsed because the monster contains several pieces of others rather just being a single whole thing. In a philosophical point of view, the world is a huge constitution of fragments or pieces of aspects rather than a single thing (Shelley). The modern society is Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Education, trade and economics all contribute to the development of a language, being globally recognised. Due to globalization, English is the only global language used internationally for economic, political and business reasons and no other languages can compete against it due to having military, economic and political power. According to psychologists "intelligence is the capacity to understand the world, think rationally, and use resources effectively when faced with challenges." (Feldman, R. S. 2010). Due to the different types of human capabilities, there are different types of human intelligence. Some intelligence is expressed mentally as in existential, intrapersonal, and spatial intelligences. Although, this type of intelligence was necessary for hunting and gathering civilizations; I believe that Jacque Cousteau had this type of intelligence. The more familiar forms of intelligence are linguistic, interpersonal, and logical /mathematical intelligence. Linguistic intelligence is necessary for authors, attorneys, and anyone whose bread and butter is made through language. Interpersonal intelligence is defined as the ability to understand other people. Yet, I find that empathy, and wisdom must be included for the psychological definition of intelligence to exist, or instead of solutions, problems can be created. I define wisdom as not just knowing what to do, but actually doing it. Logical or mathematical intelligence is an innate ability to interact with mathematical and scientific principles. Practical intelligence is needed for success in careers that involve corporations, the military, and other structured environments. Practical Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 11. Types of Rocks Types of Rocks Geologists classify rocks in three groups, according to the major Earth processes that formed them. The three rock groups are igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks. Anyone who wishes to collect rocks should become familiar with the characteristics of these three rock groups. Knowing how a geologist classifies rocks is important if you want to transform a random group of rock specimens into a true collection. Igneous rocks are formed from melted rock that has cooled and solidified. When rocks are buried deep within the Earth, they melt because of the high pressure and temperature; the molten rock (called magma) can then flow upward or even be erupted from a volcano onto the Earth's surface. When magma cools slowly,...show more content... Scuba divers who have seen mud and shells settling on the floors of lagoons find it easy to understand how sedimentary rocks form. Sometimes sedimentary and igneous rocks are subjected to pressures so intense or heat so high that they are completely changed. They become metamorphic rocks, which form while deeply buried within the Earth's crust. The process of metamorphism does not melt the rocks, but instead transforms them into denser, more compact rocks. New minerals are created either by rearrangement of mineral components or by reactions with fluids that enter the rocks. Some kinds of metamorphic rocks––granite gneiss and biotite schist are two examples––are strongly banded or foliated. (Foliated means the parallel arrangement of certain mineral grains that gives the rock a striped appearance.) Pressure or temperature can even change previously metamorphosed rocks into new types. Rock–forming and rock–destroying processes have been active for billions of years. Today, in the Guadalupe Mountains of western Texas, one can stand on limestone, a sedimentary rock, that was a coral reef in a tropical sea about 250 million years ago. In Vermont's Green Mountains one can see schist, a metamorphic rock, that was once mud in a shallow sea.
