Loyalty Essay
1. Essay on Customer Loyalty
The Customer loyalty has been a major and unanimously acknowledged as a valuable asset in
competitive markets according to Srivastava, Shervani, & Fahey, 2000. As a result, it becomes
more important to give power to in loyalty panel particularly when the consumers faces very low
switching or moving cost to other product or service, because they are not locked in by a contract
(Shapiro & Vivian, 2000). It is also become important in competitive markets due to availability of
more lucrative and easily available options. The concept of customer loyalty has been around and
present throughout in all parts/activities of numerous industries in the past decade (Lewis, 1997).
The development of loyalty includes building and supporting a...show more content...
Various authors, such as Evans & Laskin (1994), calculated the impact of CRM on customer loyalty,
but have not made any distinction between different types of loyalty. They have simply specified
that their concept of loyalty go past the idea of industrial loyalty. As a result, the variable chosen to
measure the effectiveness of CRM in this study is customer loyalty.
Looking into the previous decade many firms refocused to adopt a customer focus view most often
through a formal program of customer relationship management (CRM) for example Brown 2000,
Kalakota and Robinson, 1999 earlier by Peppers and Rogers, 1997. Latest expansion in information
technology has enabled the tool for marketing managers to create a new generation of CRM tactics.
One such tactic that thousands of firms have measured and which many have adopted is to establish
a customer loyalty program. If we look around for example, we can see such programs/schemes run
by many companies for example in US airlines and hotels, Japanese retailing, UK grocery stores,
French banks, German car companies, US universities, Italian fashion stores, Australian
telecommunications, Indian telecommunication– retail banks and in many other areas. The main
objective of such schemes/programs is to tender financial and relationship reward to customers. It is
recognizable that the aims of customer loyalty programs, firstly it has been used as a tool to increase
sales revenues by raising purchase/usage levels

2. Loyalty In The Family
Loyalty is one of the simplest moral traits to understand. Either someone is loyal, or they are
disloyal–there are not many shades of grey in between. For this reason, loyalty is one of the most
desired traits in our friends, family, and partners we have in our lives. Loyalty weaves hidden
bonds among people that in some cases can never be broken. Such is the case of Pak Chesang,
devoted servant of Nulji, 19th king of the Korean kingdom of Silla. Pak's story, found in the second
chapter of Chung, Hyo, Ye: Tales of filial devotion, loyalty, respect and benevolence from the
history and folklore of Korea, stuck out to me as an example of a man who is devotedly loyal to his
nation. A descendent of Sillan royalty himself, Pak's heart remains with...show more content...
As a descendant of old Sillan leadership and a courtier since the times of King Naemul, Nulji's
father, Pak Chesang has the future of Silla in mind in every action he takes.
I see his devotion less as loyalty to the king as a person, but instead loyalty to what the king
represents: the government and cohesiveness of the Sillan kingdom. Nulji's distraught behavior
over his brothers impairs peace in the land, an action Pak works to rectify at all costs. His life
means nothing as long as Silla retains order for the foreseeable future.
Even his family is seen as less important than the safety of Silla, an act best shown when Pak
foregoes seeing his family in favor of heading directly to Japan. The king recognizes the sacrifices
of Pak's family when he hears news of their death. For Pak's wife and children, however, his death
may ring bittersweet. They are proud of his allegiance to Silla, yet I feel deep down they curse
him for not returning. Unable to express her grief properly, Pak's wife turns to stone and his
daughters die of grief as well. In the end, their deaths also contributed to Silla's safety, but the
necessity of their demise probably remains under

3. Army Value Loyalty
Loyalty How is Loyalty defined in the modern military today? Loyalty is a characteristic and trait
that cannot be forced upon a soldier nor feared into them. Loyalty is rather created and developed
on the basis of trust from others around you including your superiors. Instilling and creating a
trusting bond will allow the soldier to develop loyalty to oneself, their unit, and their chain of
command. Per Dictionary.com Loyalty is defined as, "Characterized by or showing faithfulness to
commitments, vows, allegiance, obligations, etc." ("Loyalty", 2012, p. 01–01). When one initially
joins the military, takes an oath and swears in; you state that you will bear true faith and allegiance
to your country, the President of the United States,...show more content...
They want to become that fearless leader as you have shown them. Dr. Kaurin mentions how a
leader good or bad affects their soldiers, "Kirkland argues that trust is the essential factor in
maintaining ethical behavior and unit cohesion. If the soldiers can see their leaders share their and
the institutional values, they are more likely to uphold these values on their own, which is more
effective than coercion; in short, the leaders set the group identity and values" (Kaurin, 2006, p.
03–03). So the idea with loyalty is that if everyone is loyal to each other within a unit and
amongst the junior enlisted and senior enlisted and that there is a unit cohesion, each solider will
put in what was given out. Thus, the more you put in the more you will get out which will build
upon teamwork and trust amongst each other. When a leader can instill trust in their soldier and
get them to do something without instilling fear; the work quality will be greater and the output
will be greater. Why? Because a soldier will trust a good leader's word and even if the leader is not
around all the time, the soldier will want to continue to do the right thing because the integrity and
trust of the leader is greatly valued to the soldier and will conclusively generate the foundation of
loyalty. Loyalty in the modern military is an Army Value that is greater

4. Loyalty
Loyalty is like a shadow it's something that's with you all of the time, but sometimes it's hidden.
Most people don't show their loyalty hidden, but loyalty is something that's not supposed to be
hidden .To me loyalty is when someone is there for someone else. Loyalty is a characteristic
many people should strive to have; it earns the trust and respect of many. A loyal person would
never be able to fail someone because they are trustable. Loyalty is everywhere and there are many
different kinds of loyalty. Loyalty to strangers is one of the many different kinds of loyalty. We
have all showed loyalty to strangers at least once. When people follow rules somewhere either at
school, work etc. This shows loyalty. Loyalty doesn't only earn...show more content...
When many people think of loyalty they forget the fact that you can be loyal to yourself. I think
the most important parts to staying loyal to self are staying true to self and doing what you
believe is right. An example of this would be if you are getting peer pressured by your peers to
smoke, there are several choices you can make. You can smoke just to gain popularity by that
group of people and destroy your health or refuse and report to the counselor. A person who is
loyal to self will obviously pick the second option by doing this they will stay true to self, do the
right thing and stand up to peer pressure. Last but not the least is loyalty to family. To me loyalty
to family is the most important one because family is very special to me. Family is something
you start with and something that will never leave you. No matter what happens your family will
always be there for you. One of the many ways to show loyalty to family is by spending time with
them. Spending time with family makes everyone feel happy. I think the people that show the most
loyalty in a family are the parents. Parents sacrifice the most for their kids. Either giving up their
time or not getting what they want. They put someone else before themselves. Parents are the true
examples of loyalty. A loyal person treats other people the way they would want to be treated. A
symbol for loyalty I think would be a heart because a heart shows
