3. 1. In what ways does your media product use, develop
or challenge forms
and conventions of real media products?
For my magazine I feel that it has both developed and challenged the forms
and conventions of real media products. It has developed the forms and
convertions of real media products by having a master head, cover lines, a
main image, MCU image shot, a title, a editors letter, images, a front cover
overall and a content page, these are the main things that are developing
media products. On the other hand it is challenging media products by it
being a college magazine, having the logo of the college as the title, having
images of students instead of models, having information on college etc.
whereas in magazines it might have things about sport, fashion etc.
4. 2. What have you learnt about the technologies
from the process of constructing this product
In this I have learnt about using things like Adobe photoshop, I have learnt how to use
things like Indesign documents, the shots of images like MCU, CU, LS, etc. I have been
able to use and edit my photos such as bluring, cropping, brightening, contracting etc.
and also use the resources off moodle and also use things like document and paint

9. Editing
For this I used
Photoshop CS6, I used
the brightening and
contract tool to give it
more shadow, contrast,
colour and light. I then
used the blurring tool to
blur the background so
that it make him the
focus of the front cover
image. I then added the
master head with just
basic shape
