1. Part 3: Production Choices: Here you need to
discuss how YOU think you appealed to your
audience. This question requires you to refer
to the forms and conventions that you used.
Throughout the productionstage of making my final product,a magazine, i used a
wide variety of forms and conventions in order to appeal to the target audience that i
was focusing on. An example of a convention that would appeal to my target audience
that i did my magazine on was the front cover. I made the mast head cover the top half
of the page in a bold font i had chosen off dafont.com.The font fit the indie style i had
seen in other magazines. The mast head draws the attention to the magazine and this
style is used on many indie magazines i had viewed. On each of the images, the
clothing was chosento fit in with the indie nature. My modelwore bland clothes to
follow on the indie trend into the cover. I made sure the colour of the clothing did not
clash with the font colours as this is something i have never seen in an indie magazine.
I chose my front cover modelto be peteras he is in an indie band himself. He enjoys
the indie music taste and wears very much indie clothing. The clothes he wore were
bland with a white shirt, black jeans and also a bomberjacket, fitting in with the indie
clothing nature. Fashion choice is a major aspectto consideras the modelwill be on
the front of the magazine, everyone reading will judge the magazine type and genre on
the clothing the modelis wearing.
