2. Who are you working with?
I will be working solo. This is a disadvantage since
I will have to do everything, so gathering the 100 hours
will be a challenge, but I feel very confident about
achieving this goal.
However, I will ask a friend to record their own
E.P or even ask to be in their radio slot for the Plymouth
Radio station. This means I could make a small 10minute-
20minute radio session where I could discuss common
interests or make do a sketch comedy show, or just even
do a little DJ-mixing.
3. Where will you be completing the
projects?
I will be working on this projects either in my
own space at home, where I have the equipment
necessary to mix, or in the dBs Music studios where
I could record and mix in the same space. The
studio's I have in mind using would be in HD 3 or HD
2 and to record in I will be using the Live Room.
4. What are the projects you hope to
achieve?
Record/Mix A few songs of my own.
Record/Mix a few of my course-mates/friends
material.
Possibly write and present a comedy sketch show,
or a music mix section on a friends project on
their time slot of the Plymouth Radio for
10minutes.
I have the chance to help engineer a 3 day festival
back in my home town called “Teddy Rocks”.
5. What formats will you be using?
For all of the projects above, I will be
releasing them electronically, either Mp3s,
QuickTime Movie Files or WAVs. I will not be writing
them onto CDs or DVDs unless requested.
For all of my recording and mixing work, I will
be using 24-bit bit depth and 48 kHz sample rate.
6. What area of the audio do the
projects relate to?
The areas of the audio industry that my projects
relate to would be the recording engineer's or the
recording producing side of the music industry.
Then the radio segment will of course be
associated with the radio side of the music
industry.
The Festival, will then represent the side of live
music in the music industry.
7. What evidence will you have to
show you’ve completed the
projects?
I will be including:
Pictures of the projects.
Screenshots of the software.
Videos of setting up the recording/sessions.
Drawings of mic placements and designs etc.
I will write a diary of each session explaining what
I did and what I achieved.
I will then post all of this on my Google
Site/ePortfolio
