My Goal As A Teacher
My goal as a teacher is to encourage and challenge students as they develop their learning skills.
Teaching young intellects is a significant undertaking and will not be taken casually. It is a
position that is filled with many frustrations, challenges and responsibilities. However, it is a job
that is also very rewarding full of pleasure, admiration and excitement. Every child possesses the
ability to learn by their very own style. As a result, it is imperative to learn each student 's learning
style, interests and aversions. Building relationships with every student is another important aspect.
By learning more about them individually, I am able to provide suitable opportunities supported by
valid learning experiences. I want to teach students with direct interaction, as well as bestowing
independence to room to develop and expand on their own. At the beginning of the school year, it
is clear that I will direct class discussions; nevertheless towards the end of the year, students will
initiate their own questions and will answer them independently. I feel it is beneficial for students to
sometimes work for the answer rather than being told because it broadens their understanding and
educates them on finding information in a variety of ways. I also feel a fundamental aspect for
students to learn is to work on projects that help others. As an educator, it is important not only to
help the students that you are teaching but also give them direction to help others. I also

An Essay About My Teacher
It Takes No Time To Write An Essay
Have you ever just sat down with a blank piece of paper for what seemed like forever, tearing
down every idea before you even wrote it? It takes forever to write an essay. There are so many
parts to essays and they're even harder to understand if your teacher has not explained them to you
in general. Rebecca Schuman (an education columnist for Slate) sarcastically thinks that it takes 45
minutes to write a crappy paper, but never touched on an estimated time it takes to write a decent
paper and still get a bad grade. In her idea it takes no time to write an essay. It seems sad to admit
but I am in college and just learned the essence of essays. My teacher is very visual and it is
helpful to me. Everyone learns a different way, so some instructors techniques may not even be
knocking on the door of some students brains when it comes to writing. Schuman stated that
students come to college unable to write and leave the same way. To some students writing is as
mysterious as a foreign language so this could be true. No matter how many times you have heard
what the details of a paper are: a topic, introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, these things
have no meaning. Until you know what they mean you are just putting a bunch of words together
and calling it an essay. Knowing the details of a paper helps for better understanding. Instead of just
grading a paper and assuming the student did not take time to think it over, or was too busy

My Teaching Philosophy Essay
My Teaching Philosophy I believe that education extends far beyond the classroom walls, and
involves many more people than students and teachers. People should be learning wherever they
go, and should continue learning long after they've graduated from high school or college.
Education isn't something that can be quantified with tests or report cards, but is instead
something that people carry with them. It's a survival pack for life, and some people are better
equipped in certain areas than in others. People with a solid education are prepared for nearly
anything, as they will be able to provide for their own physical, emotional, and aesthetic needs. That
being said, I also believe that a crucial part of education does...show more content...
The roles of a teacher are so many and so varied that it is impossible to list them all, but one of the
most important is preparing students to learn, not only in the classroom, but everywhere, and for
the rest of their lives. Learning is not a skill that is necessarily instinctual or easy, and therefore
different approaches must be used to make learning easier and more fun for students. Teaching is
not a skill that can be memorized or made repetitive, and so teachers must continue to challenge
not only their students, but also themselves. Teachers that become complacent in their jobs are
not good teachers. Those who can find a way to make an old lesson new and exciting will have an
energized classroom, and will be reenergized themselves. Every child is different. That sounds like
an obvious statement, but so many ineffective teachers seem to forget this. Each student has his or
her own varying abilities, talents, and levels of competence, and it is the job of a teacher not only
to recognize this, but to help each student recognize this as well. If a child isn't doing well in a
particular subject, both the teacher and the student should work towards figuring out why, and the
teacher should accept the challenge of finding a way to make a particular subject more

My High School Teacher
My high school teacher, a lady, has inspired me to become a teacher. She demonstrated to me how
caring, enthusiastic and accessible a teacher can be to students. She inspired me with her unlimited
patience when interacting with students including myself. She would approach each student in her
own way and gave every student their own privacy when it comes to getting assessment results. I
respect her very much as she respected me and made my final year of high school very memorable.
Teaching is a good career choice because of the satisfaction you achieve when you teach or help a
student in any way. I believe teaching is also the transmission of knowledge and information. It is a
pleasure to be able to transfer the useful knowledge and...show more content...
Being a teacher means being compassionate, tolerant and responsible for their students, the
community, and the society. A good teacher is influential and can impact others positively by being
a role model/good example for them(young children). A good teacher definitely should have a strong
dedication towards teaching and students' learning.
A good teacher helps students overcome their fear, low–self esteem and struggle that they may face
in school. A good teacher should also encourage students to discover their own interest and talent. It
also important that a good teacher will teach and demonstrate to students the importance of honesty,
good morals and values so that they know what to do and what not to do and what is wrong and
what is right. This also helps by shaping their personal understanding of themselves and the world
which will benefit them in their future.
I am an attentive listener with unlimited patience. I can listen to students; questions, needs and
worries. I am also a great observer meaning I can see and obverse if any student is facing
problems or need an adult to talk to. I care about how others feel and it is why my friends tend to
speak out to me about their struggles and concerns. I try my best to comfort them and also offer
some advice to overcome their needs or to reduce their stress. I am willing to devote my time to
help others.I am flexible and collaborative when it comes to group work, I enjoy sharing my ideas

My Career as a Teacher Essay
As I begin my rewarding career as I teacher, I sit and reflect on what my goals and priorities are in
the classroom. I am excited to be engaged in a future career where I can implement my own beliefs
and mold the future into something extremely positive. I believe the most important aspects that I
want to bring to my students are threefold: I want to educate, motivate, and inspire.
In order to have a productive learning environment where I will be able to educate my students,
many different factors must take place. First and foremost, it is important to me that I master
exceptional classroom management skills. Effective and efficient learning takes place when
expectations in the classroom are consistent and clear. Also, discipline in...show more content...
These learning styles include; auditory, visual, and kinesthetic. By mastering and using as many
learning styles as I can, I will make sure each student is able to get the most out of their learning
experience. I understand that every child learns differently and understanding how to use different
approaches in each lesson plan will benefit every student. Not only is it important to use different
learning styles but I will also use different teaching styles during the curriculum. The different
methods I would like to use to teach my lessons include but are not limited to; scientific investigation
which uses the scientific method. The scientific method includes first investigating the problem,
coming up with a logical hypothesis, performing the experiment, reading the results, and finally
completing an analysis of the results. The next method I would explore is decision making which
is the thought process of selecting a logical choice from the available options. Next is problem
solving. When I teach the students to problem solve accurately they be able to overcome obstacles
and find a solution that best resolves the issue. Next, I will help my students think critically which
includes identification and evaluation to problem solving. Finally, I will use the method of
cooperative learning which is an approach to organizing classroom activities into academic and
social learning experience. I believe that every one of these method can be valued

My Journey As A Teacher
I teach because of my insatiable passion to motivate, inspire, and to positively impact my students in
a way that will encourage lifelong learning. I believe the best way to positively influence any student
is to first build rapport with them. After I establish that relationship, I will proceed to teach and lead
that student to academic success. My teaching will be student–centered and focused heavily on
inquiry based teaching aligning with the Next Generation Science Standards. I also plan on
continuing my education through taking classes, attending conferences, and by traveling.
My first step as a teacher is to gain rapport with my students. I believe that classroom design can
contribute heavily to my success in this area. I think a classroom environment in which provides
safety through acceptance and caring and allows the students plenty of opportunities to grow
intellectually and emotionally will help myself make those important connections. I will provide
safety through acceptance and caring by establishing classroom norms. Some of these norms include
listening when someone is talking, uncomfortable comments may be challenged, always think before
reacting, and to assume the best intentions from each classmate. Starting the new school year off
with norms will allow my students to feel comfortable interacting with each other and will hopefully
encourage my relationships with the students. After establishing norms, I will offer extension

My First Teacher I Ever Had Was My Mother
My Mother and Literacy
The first teacher I ever had was my mother (Stephanie). From tying my shoes to my ABC's she
taught me so many things throughout my life. Enhancing how literacy fit into my life was one
major thing my mom did for me. Similar to the reading Superman and Me by Alexie; we always
had books lying around the house. We would take trips to the library to look for new books and we
would attend the summer reading program. My mom would have me read anything and everything;
menus, recipes, street signs, and books. Reading became an everyday thing for me. My mother has
had a monumental impact on my love for literacy. She has shaped and molded the way I view
Literacy and how it fit into my life. There were three major moments in my childhood that I
remember where the books she had me read were extremely influential on my stance towards literacy.
Sometime before I started preschool my mother bought a book that had a colossal impact on
literacy in my life. I remember my mother coming into my room at bedtime to read me a new and
exciting book. The book had a pink background with a large coconut tree on it, also it had
multi–color letters all around the tree I will never forget this line; "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom
will there be enough at the top of the coconut tree.". I did the same as Alexie did with his
superman book, how he would read it again and again; at bedtime every night for at least two
months my mom would come into my room and read "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom"

My Future As A Teacher
In this paper I will be discussing how I will plan my future as a teacher, taking into consideration
what and how I need to get there. It is important that I think about the steps I need to follow and
the things that may be useful in the process of becoming a successful professional. Furthermore I
will include my work experience and what I have learnt from shadowing my professional in an
early years setting. Qualifications. The department for Education states that getting basic
qualifications is the first step towards becoming a teacher. I must have the equivalent of at least a
grade C in English, Mathematics and Science. I also needed 280 UCAS points to gain a place on
the Early Childhood course at University. Once I have qualified with a degree of a 2:1 or more I
need to apply for the QTS (qualified teacher status) course that qualifies me to teach. I will have to
pass a Skills Tests in numeracy and literacy. To prepare myself for this exam I must revise using
mock tests online and study 2–3 hours a day. (Bond, 2013) It is also beneficial to have a varied
range of classroom based work experience. It is ideal to show you have practical experience as
well as academic theory. I have also been volunteering in a Primary School in between university
term time. From shadowing my professional I have gained an understanding of some of the key
ingredients in becoming an effective practitioner. Teamwork. From interviewing my professional she

My Role As A Teacher Essay
I believe education is one of the most important tools a person can have in life. Every child
deserves to receive the best education possible. It has always been my passion to help each child
discover their individual God given gifts and talents and to reach their full potential.
Role of the Teacher
When I think about my role as a teacher, one of the most important things I consider is the
relationships I build with my students, parents, colleagues, and community members. In the
classroom, I need to ensure that I create a safe, loving, and positive learning environment. In order to
make all students feel welcome, I get to know their names, the correct pronunciation and spellings,

Teaching Styles
As an educator I need to be flexible in my teaching styles, what works one year, may not work the
next, and even day to day can change. I believe that it is important that I reflect daily on what was
successful and what could have gone better. I then make the adjustments to my teaching. As a whole
though, my teaching approach I believe is very similar the the progressivism theory of education.
"Progressivists believe that education should focus on the whole child, rather than on the content or
the teacher. This educational philosophy stresses that students should test ideas by active
experimentation. Learning is rooted in the questions of learners that arise through experiencing the
world" (Cohen, 1999). In Knight (2008) he states that "Children have a natural desire to learn and
discover things about the world around them." (p. 104). This couldn't be more true in my opinion,
my preschoolers are constantly asking questions about the world around them, I have had some
pretty interesting meal time conversations at school based on the questions and conversations about
life these littles bring up! "Children's interest, therefore, are the natural starting point for their
learning experience." (p. 104). This past school year in my morning class are students were really
into bugs–so we did a whole unit on bugs, this

My Dream As A Teacher
My dream is to become a Teacher so that I can encourage and influence young children to reach
their full potential no matter what circumstances they come from. When I started first grade my
family had just moved to Conroe Texas, so I started out with no friends coming to a new city and
new school. Thankfully I got the best teacher in the whole first grade at Geisinger Elementary.
Her name is Mrs. Thompson. She was the teacher that always greeted us at the door and when we
came into her classroom it felt like home. I was always comfortable in her classroom by the way
it was decorated and the way she made me feel. She always had something nice to say and never
put any of the students in the class down! She loves her students like her own. The next year she
moved to second grade and I got her as a teacher again. I was so thankful to have such a wonderful
first and second grade teacher and her mannerisms throughout those two years is what sparked my
interest in being that teacher, that inspires her students and makes them feel comfortable in the
classroom. The purpose of education to me is so that we are all knowledgeable in what we are doing
and saying. If everyone went around and talked about something without knowing true facts or
history we would be in trouble! The reason we learn about history is because it repeats itself. We
learn it so that we could stop the repeating factors before they happen!
The role of the teacher is to be a role model, someone to look up to. Young children always refer to
what their teacher says no matter if its Mom, Dad, or Grandma. That is because the students spend
all day for one hundred and eighty days with their teacher, of course the students are going to look
up to that person! Teachers are also the facilitator oflearning. The teacher should set up the
classroom to give the students a successful work environment and provide assistance, guidance and
supervision over the students for a controlled classroom. The teacher is also the supporter. Students
should be able to come to their teacher for any support whether it be in the cafeteria at lunch, on the
playground, or at home and the teacher should want to be the number one supporter for her students.
The students' role is to

My Teaching Experience Essay
When I first come to Saint Cloud High School, I was uncertain of how I would fit into the world
of education as a teacher, in fact, this was my first teaching practice. After completing a few
observations, I changed my view and recognized my teaching abilities. I was able to learn many
different things that will be helpful to me when I become a certified teacher someday. Although I
could face many possible challenges in the classroom, I have many of the strengths it takes to be
a good teacher. There were many times during this field training that gave me a broad idea of how
the ordinary life of a teacher would go. Similarly, I got a profound sense of how the classroom
environment is for most instructors. In general, I believe this was a pleasant experience for me, and
I learned a lot in such a brief period.
The educational unit I executed has an element of my instruction beliefs that students should connect
and relate theme content to real life situations inside and outside the teaching space. Therefore,
during my teaching experience, I feel compromise and responsible for meeting my students' needs
and that is why I included many visuals aids and plenty of flexible activities. Hence, this unit
involved a mixture of student and teacher–centered strategies such as direct instruction, drill and
practice of the unit vocabulary, lectures, dialogues, question and answer sessions, discussions with
exchanges of opinions and perspectives, discovery learning events and presentations

My Most Influential Teacher
Throughout my years at Deposit Central School I have had many influential teachers. However, the
most influential teacher that I have had is not a school teacher, but a teacher that has taught me the
values of life. The definition of a teacher is a person who teaches or instructs. It does not
necessarily mean that a teacher is alway part of a school, it means that it is someone who makes a
difference and educates you. The most influential teacher that I have encounter is my mom,
Stephanie. Teachers play a significant role in shaping and defining a student, and that is what my

And now, she never felt like getting into the holiday spirit until she meant my mom. My mom

themselves in public. I was pretty young when this happened, but I remember this because my mom
absolutely loves the holidays and now she still can without being afraid her kids will tell her to
stop. Of course now when we go shopping we all sing to the christmas music.
In addition to teaching me character and leadership, she has taught me to help others. It has
always been a big part in our family to help others. My mom always asked us if we are willing to
help others, and because we have learned that at a young age we always say yes. It always feels
good when we help out family members who may not be able to get groceries up their stairs or to
rake leaves for them if they can't get outside. Service was a big "subject" that she taught us
because it was important to her when she was growing up as well. Another quality that was
important to her was teaching us to have goals during school. She never cared what the grade was
necessarily, but she cared about the effort that was put into it. I think that made it a lot easier for
my sister and I to enjoy school more because we knew if we put in 100% effort then she would be
proud of us no matter what. My mom struggled in school because she just never understood some of
the subjects, but what she did understand was her drive to beat

Teacher Essay: My Worst Teacher
During my high school years, there were several teachers that I encountered. However, there was
one teacher whom I shall never forget. In fact, he would be very difficult to forget, even if he
were only remembered for his size, for he was an enormous man. His name is Anthony Sweeney
of "Sugar Butty" my third form math teacher. To this point, I never knew the exact reason for
such name but all students referred to him in such manner. He was six feet five inches tall and
towered over us like a giant and he weighed over three hundred pounds. I never discovered his
exact age, but, he must have been no more than forty, even though his hair had turned grey
relatively early on, and there was a smooth shiny bald patch on the crown of his head. But, it is not
just for his size that I remembered him. In fact, one of the things with I remembered distinctively
was his sudden change in temper. One moment he would be very jovial and pleasant to speak to in
class, and the next he would shout violently at some timid student who was merely looking through
the window or he would become very mean and impatient with his students. For these reason, he
became my absolute worst teacher.
Most certainly, a student would be subjected to his ambush of abuse daily. We

than he already was. He also treated us as though we were incapable of learning and we were
absolutely terrified of him. Hence, the entire year of math class was a nightmare as it was filled with
humiliation and anger. So, I have decided in my profession career as teacher not to become like Mr
Sweeney but rather provide an environment where my students can become the best at whatever

My Motivation For Being A Teacher Essay
My motivation for being a teacher comes from somewhere deep within my heart and soul. I love
children. I love the look that comes across their faces when they finally grasp a concept after they
have been trying to truly understand it. I had a lot of teachers that made an impact on me and I
want to have the same impact on as many children as possible. My teachers installed a love of
learning in me. There is no better profession than teaching for those who want to learn. One is
learning just as much from their students, if not more, than what they teach. Teaching is
rewarding and involves making the world a better place. That is my calling. To change the world,
one person at a time, by showing love to each and every person I meet. Weather it be one of my
students or one of their parents, I want to be Christ's light just like my teachers were for me. I
want to be the support system that shows each and every one of my students that they can do
anything they put their mind to. Not only can they shoot for the stars, but they can shoot far
beyond. After all, I was once just a kid from a small farm town that no one knows about. Now I've
been on 4 mission trips, I travel all around, and I moved half way across the country to chase my
dreams. I am here because I was impacted by my high school history teacher/ musical director, Mr.
Wittig. He pushed me to chase my dreams and to follow my heart and not to let anything get in my
way. I want to share what I have with every child I can,

Descriptive Essay About My Teacher
My creator. My abettor. My sidekick. My teacher. My defender. My superstar. These are all the
things that my sire wholeheartedly is. From keeping me safe to play childish games, he is always
there to guide me. Although his overloaded job keeps him at station for an eternity, he quickly
maneuvers through the overwhelming pile of work, and somehow still finds time to help me study
for a test, help me finish my homework, and play games with me. When a monstrous test is
charging at me with all of its might, he uses his brilliant mind to swiftly teach me how to defeat the
test with a triumphant score. Then comes the period of activity, the hardest part of his day, the part
where he almost always quits and leaves: the workout. With a determination to become physically
fit, he bolts up the rigid stairs, charging into his closet to get dressed into his navy baggy sweatpants
and his neon yellow t–shirt; then races down to the basement like it's the end of the world. The
Xbox sits idle while the fitness game eagerly waits to be played. He fires up the Xbox and starts on
his 1–hour journey to absolutely destroy the computer in tennis. Following his crushing victory over
the weak computer in tennis, I wandered to the basement in hopes of escaping my dreadful
homework, only to be absolutely flabbergasted by the number of experience points he has gained on
the game. Then comes the part where my ponderous dad sluggishly lumbers up the stern stairs.

My Experience As A Teacher Essay
Fieldwork Summary PaperMiele 1 My Fieldwork Experience Within Classrooms As I graduated
into Concordia College I was already positive that education was going to be the major I was
going to study and pursue a career in. With the motivation of my aunt, whom is a teacher, I
always looked up to her. The only aspect I wasn't sure of was what grade I would want to teach. I
have always loved kids, which is way I have always been leaning towards teaching within
early–childhood grades. Within this course I was given the opportunity to sit and observe
classrooms of grades of my choice. I decided I would sit within a kindergarten class, a third grade
class, and a fifth grade class. With this experience I was able to get an idea of what grade I would
want to continue a career in as I followed my dream as a teacher. The first class I attended and
observed was a kindergarten class taught by Mrs. Brenda Buccheri Miele, in which was my aunt.
Not only was I excited to observe what it was like to teach a kindergarten class, but I also was
also excited to watch my aunt in action for the first time. As soon as I entered the kindergarten
classroom at Concord Road Elementary School, I couldn't help but smile because of all the little
projects the students had put together and hung around the room. Being that it was my first time
observing a classroom I was a little nervous to meet the kids and spend four hours with them. I
didn't know how they would react to me being there, or if they

My Experience As A Student Teacher
Today's classroom is one of variety and challenge. I have seen first hand, in the classroom I
observed this semester, the impact of various children's backgrounds. There were second graders
from every walk of life and this diversity impacted how they interacted with each other, and, on
some occasions, how the teacher interacted with them. When working with a group of children such
as these, the educator must be aware of every aspect of diversity in their classroom. Diversity may
come in many forms: academic achievement, race, language, or socioeconomic differences, and it
may be difficult to address each of these needs individually. Regardless of these challenges, a
successful teacher will have the ability to create an atmosphere which will turn the student's
perceived "limitations" into their strongest ability. This what will keep them determined and ready
to engage with the curriculum. My experiences as a student teacher showed me that the biggest
barrier that I will have to surmount is finding a way to communicate the necessary information to
my students so that they will learn and even thrive in my class. This is especially true when
working in a low income area where students are worried about problems that are much bigger than
school: where their next meal is coming from or how much money they can earn to help their family
when they go to work that night. Such larger concerns will dwarf what happens in school, making
homework seem irrelevant and/or impossible. With

My English Teacher
As a teacher one must find their inspirations. Personally, my inspiration came from a previous
teacher that I once had. I grew up always loving my English classes. It was simple to me. I
understood where a comma went, how use a metaphor correctly, and enjoyed writing papers. English
became my safe haven, but it wasn't until I had my English teacher in high school that I realized that
I wanted to teach it. My English teacher was truly one of a kind. She went above and beyond the
expectations that the school set out for her to accomplish. She genuinely cared about her students

In the classroom I plan to use diversity to my advantage. For example, in English it will be hard to
ignore diversity in literature. When you are reading a text and trying to comprehend the material
you almost have to understand the culture, religion, and sometimes ethnicity to get all the
information that the author wants to relay. Also, in the classroom as a teacher, I need to
understand my students culture, religions, and ethnicity, and from there adapt my teaching
methods to fit those specific students needs. As a teacher I need to chose materials that will be
bale to relate to my students. If I am teaching at a school in downtown Memphis I probably chose
to use a text that relates to poverty or Martin Luther King Jr. The reason I would use one of those
topics is because the students will be able to relate to the topic. The students will have some
knowledge of these topics therefore they may be more interested in the topic because they
understand it better then something about the royal family. Being a teacher, you have to be able to
use your students diversities and use it in the classroom without offending any of the students. When
teaching about poverty to poverty stricken students I will have to keep in mind my students feelings.
I wouldn't go into the classroom and start teaching about how poverty is bad and you need to do
something with your life. Instead I might find a text that covers a poverty stricken person that turns

My Most Memorable Teachers Essay
My Most Memorable Teachers For some reason or another certain students are drawn to particular
teachers while other students are more fond of others. In my life I have studied under three
memorable teachers. Teachers with which I was able to connect, to laugh, to share my misgivings.
While I may have been close with each of these teachers, it is very clear, in retrospect, that each was
very unique, and represented an entirely different class of teacher.
The teacher that stands out most in my head is my eleventh grade English teacher. She had a liberal

Her class of teachers take their jobs very seriously, and do not tolerate students who skip or disrupt
their classes. These teachers are fun, because once you get them off on some irrelevant tangent,
they will keep themselves going on it for entire class segments, trying to get out years of thought
and consideration in just a short period of time. This is how I got to know my psychology teacher,
because I was the one who kept her talking, so that the class could avoid taking the quiz that none of
us had studied for. Teachers like her have the innate gift to educate and entertain, with their
comprehensive lessons and subtle quirks.
Finally, I come to my high school horticulture teacher, whom I studied under for so many years
that by the time I was a senior, we talked to each other on a first name basis. He belonged to a
small class of teachers who are personally important to every young adult. This class of teacher is the
buddy, the friend. The teacher with whom you can talk about anything, be it the trouble you have
been having with your girlfriend, the high–potency marijuana that you smoked over the weekend, or
just the dirty jokes you heard the day before. These are the teachers with whom you simply share
interests, and thus, get along really well. Having a teacher like this is almost like having a
counselor, someone older and wiser than yourself

My Goal as an Educator: Encourage, Challenge, Inspire

  • 1. My Goal As A Teacher My goal as a teacher is to encourage and challenge students as they develop their learning skills. Teaching young intellects is a significant undertaking and will not be taken casually. It is a position that is filled with many frustrations, challenges and responsibilities. However, it is a job that is also very rewarding full of pleasure, admiration and excitement. Every child possesses the ability to learn by their very own style. As a result, it is imperative to learn each student 's learning style, interests and aversions. Building relationships with every student is another important aspect. By learning more about them individually, I am able to provide suitable opportunities supported by valid learning experiences. I want to teach students with direct interaction, as well as bestowing independence to room to develop and expand on their own. At the beginning of the school year, it is clear that I will direct class discussions; nevertheless towards the end of the year, students will initiate their own questions and will answer them independently. I feel it is beneficial for students to sometimes work for the answer rather than being told because it broadens their understanding and educates them on finding information in a variety of ways. I also feel a fundamental aspect for students to learn is to work on projects that help others. As an educator, it is important not only to help the students that you are teaching but also give them direction to help others. I also Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. An Essay About My Teacher It Takes No Time To Write An Essay Have you ever just sat down with a blank piece of paper for what seemed like forever, tearing down every idea before you even wrote it? It takes forever to write an essay. There are so many parts to essays and they're even harder to understand if your teacher has not explained them to you in general. Rebecca Schuman (an education columnist for Slate) sarcastically thinks that it takes 45 minutes to write a crappy paper, but never touched on an estimated time it takes to write a decent paper and still get a bad grade. In her idea it takes no time to write an essay. It seems sad to admit but I am in college and just learned the essence of essays. My teacher is very visual and it is helpful to me. Everyone learns a different way, so some instructors techniques may not even be knocking on the door of some students brains when it comes to writing. Schuman stated that students come to college unable to write and leave the same way. To some students writing is as mysterious as a foreign language so this could be true. No matter how many times you have heard what the details of a paper are: a topic, introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, these things have no meaning. Until you know what they mean you are just putting a bunch of words together and calling it an essay. Knowing the details of a paper helps for better understanding. Instead of just grading a paper and assuming the student did not take time to think it over, or was too busy Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. My Teaching Philosophy Essay My Teaching Philosophy I believe that education extends far beyond the classroom walls, and involves many more people than students and teachers. People should be learning wherever they go, and should continue learning long after they've graduated from high school or college. Education isn't something that can be quantified with tests or report cards, but is instead something that people carry with them. It's a survival pack for life, and some people are better equipped in certain areas than in others. People with a solid education are prepared for nearly anything, as they will be able to provide for their own physical, emotional, and aesthetic needs. That being said, I also believe that a crucial part of education does...show more content... The roles of a teacher are so many and so varied that it is impossible to list them all, but one of the most important is preparing students to learn, not only in the classroom, but everywhere, and for the rest of their lives. Learning is not a skill that is necessarily instinctual or easy, and therefore different approaches must be used to make learning easier and more fun for students. Teaching is not a skill that can be memorized or made repetitive, and so teachers must continue to challenge not only their students, but also themselves. Teachers that become complacent in their jobs are not good teachers. Those who can find a way to make an old lesson new and exciting will have an energized classroom, and will be reenergized themselves. Every child is different. That sounds like an obvious statement, but so many ineffective teachers seem to forget this. Each student has his or her own varying abilities, talents, and levels of competence, and it is the job of a teacher not only to recognize this, but to help each student recognize this as well. If a child isn't doing well in a particular subject, both the teacher and the student should work towards figuring out why, and the teacher should accept the challenge of finding a way to make a particular subject more Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. My High School Teacher My high school teacher, a lady, has inspired me to become a teacher. She demonstrated to me how caring, enthusiastic and accessible a teacher can be to students. She inspired me with her unlimited patience when interacting with students including myself. She would approach each student in her own way and gave every student their own privacy when it comes to getting assessment results. I respect her very much as she respected me and made my final year of high school very memorable. Teaching is a good career choice because of the satisfaction you achieve when you teach or help a student in any way. I believe teaching is also the transmission of knowledge and information. It is a pleasure to be able to transfer the useful knowledge and...show more content... Being a teacher means being compassionate, tolerant and responsible for their students, the community, and the society. A good teacher is influential and can impact others positively by being a role model/good example for them(young children). A good teacher definitely should have a strong dedication towards teaching and students' learning. A good teacher helps students overcome their fear, low–self esteem and struggle that they may face in school. A good teacher should also encourage students to discover their own interest and talent. It also important that a good teacher will teach and demonstrate to students the importance of honesty, good morals and values so that they know what to do and what not to do and what is wrong and what is right. This also helps by shaping their personal understanding of themselves and the world which will benefit them in their future. I am an attentive listener with unlimited patience. I can listen to students; questions, needs and worries. I am also a great observer meaning I can see and obverse if any student is facing problems or need an adult to talk to. I care about how others feel and it is why my friends tend to speak out to me about their struggles and concerns. I try my best to comfort them and also offer some advice to overcome their needs or to reduce their stress. I am willing to devote my time to help others.I am flexible and collaborative when it comes to group work, I enjoy sharing my ideas and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. My Career as a Teacher Essay As I begin my rewarding career as I teacher, I sit and reflect on what my goals and priorities are in the classroom. I am excited to be engaged in a future career where I can implement my own beliefs and mold the future into something extremely positive. I believe the most important aspects that I want to bring to my students are threefold: I want to educate, motivate, and inspire. In order to have a productive learning environment where I will be able to educate my students, many different factors must take place. First and foremost, it is important to me that I master exceptional classroom management skills. Effective and efficient learning takes place when expectations in the classroom are consistent and clear. Also, discipline in...show more content... These learning styles include; auditory, visual, and kinesthetic. By mastering and using as many learning styles as I can, I will make sure each student is able to get the most out of their learning experience. I understand that every child learns differently and understanding how to use different approaches in each lesson plan will benefit every student. Not only is it important to use different learning styles but I will also use different teaching styles during the curriculum. The different methods I would like to use to teach my lessons include but are not limited to; scientific investigation which uses the scientific method. The scientific method includes first investigating the problem, coming up with a logical hypothesis, performing the experiment, reading the results, and finally completing an analysis of the results. The next method I would explore is decision making which is the thought process of selecting a logical choice from the available options. Next is problem solving. When I teach the students to problem solve accurately they be able to overcome obstacles and find a solution that best resolves the issue. Next, I will help my students think critically which includes identification and evaluation to problem solving. Finally, I will use the method of cooperative learning which is an approach to organizing classroom activities into academic and social learning experience. I believe that every one of these method can be valued Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. My Journey As A Teacher I teach because of my insatiable passion to motivate, inspire, and to positively impact my students in a way that will encourage lifelong learning. I believe the best way to positively influence any student is to first build rapport with them. After I establish that relationship, I will proceed to teach and lead that student to academic success. My teaching will be student–centered and focused heavily on inquiry based teaching aligning with the Next Generation Science Standards. I also plan on continuing my education through taking classes, attending conferences, and by traveling. My first step as a teacher is to gain rapport with my students. I believe that classroom design can contribute heavily to my success in this area. I think a classroom environment in which provides safety through acceptance and caring and allows the students plenty of opportunities to grow intellectually and emotionally will help myself make those important connections. I will provide safety through acceptance and caring by establishing classroom norms. Some of these norms include listening when someone is talking, uncomfortable comments may be challenged, always think before reacting, and to assume the best intentions from each classmate. Starting the new school year off with norms will allow my students to feel comfortable interacting with each other and will hopefully encourage my relationships with the students. After establishing norms, I will offer extension opportunities on each of our Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. My First Teacher I Ever Had Was My Mother My Mother and Literacy The first teacher I ever had was my mother (Stephanie). From tying my shoes to my ABC's she taught me so many things throughout my life. Enhancing how literacy fit into my life was one major thing my mom did for me. Similar to the reading Superman and Me by Alexie; we always had books lying around the house. We would take trips to the library to look for new books and we would attend the summer reading program. My mom would have me read anything and everything; menus, recipes, street signs, and books. Reading became an everyday thing for me. My mother has had a monumental impact on my love for literacy. She has shaped and molded the way I view Literacy and how it fit into my life. There were three major moments in my childhood that I remember where the books she had me read were extremely influential on my stance towards literacy. Sometime before I started preschool my mother bought a book that had a colossal impact on literacy in my life. I remember my mother coming into my room at bedtime to read me a new and exciting book. The book had a pink background with a large coconut tree on it, also it had multi–color letters all around the tree I will never forget this line; "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom will there be enough at the top of the coconut tree.". I did the same as Alexie did with his superman book, how he would read it again and again; at bedtime every night for at least two months my mom would come into my room and read "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. My Future As A Teacher In this paper I will be discussing how I will plan my future as a teacher, taking into consideration what and how I need to get there. It is important that I think about the steps I need to follow and the things that may be useful in the process of becoming a successful professional. Furthermore I will include my work experience and what I have learnt from shadowing my professional in an early years setting. Qualifications. The department for Education states that getting basic qualifications is the first step towards becoming a teacher. I must have the equivalent of at least a grade C in English, Mathematics and Science. I also needed 280 UCAS points to gain a place on the Early Childhood course at University. Once I have qualified with a degree of a 2:1 or more I need to apply for the QTS (qualified teacher status) course that qualifies me to teach. I will have to pass a Skills Tests in numeracy and literacy. To prepare myself for this exam I must revise using mock tests online and study 2–3 hours a day. (Bond, 2013) It is also beneficial to have a varied range of classroom based work experience. It is ideal to show you have practical experience as well as academic theory. I have also been volunteering in a Primary School in between university term time. From shadowing my professional I have gained an understanding of some of the key ingredients in becoming an effective practitioner. Teamwork. From interviewing my professional she stated that teamwork is the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. My Role As A Teacher Essay I believe education is one of the most important tools a person can have in life. Every child deserves to receive the best education possible. It has always been my passion to help each child discover their individual God given gifts and talents and to reach their full potential. Role of the Teacher When I think about my role as a teacher, one of the most important things I consider is the relationships I build with my students, parents, colleagues, and community members. In the classroom, I need to ensure that I create a safe, loving, and positive learning environment. In order to make all students feel welcome, I get to know their names, the correct pronunciation and spellings, learning their culture and background, and their...show more content... Teaching Styles As an educator I need to be flexible in my teaching styles, what works one year, may not work the next, and even day to day can change. I believe that it is important that I reflect daily on what was successful and what could have gone better. I then make the adjustments to my teaching. As a whole though, my teaching approach I believe is very similar the the progressivism theory of education. "Progressivists believe that education should focus on the whole child, rather than on the content or the teacher. This educational philosophy stresses that students should test ideas by active experimentation. Learning is rooted in the questions of learners that arise through experiencing the world" (Cohen, 1999). In Knight (2008) he states that "Children have a natural desire to learn and discover things about the world around them." (p. 104). This couldn't be more true in my opinion, my preschoolers are constantly asking questions about the world around them, I have had some pretty interesting meal time conversations at school based on the questions and conversations about life these littles bring up! "Children's interest, therefore, are the natural starting point for their learning experience." (p. 104). This past school year in my morning class are students were really into bugs–so we did a whole unit on bugs, this Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. My Dream As A Teacher My dream is to become a Teacher so that I can encourage and influence young children to reach their full potential no matter what circumstances they come from. When I started first grade my family had just moved to Conroe Texas, so I started out with no friends coming to a new city and new school. Thankfully I got the best teacher in the whole first grade at Geisinger Elementary. Her name is Mrs. Thompson. She was the teacher that always greeted us at the door and when we came into her classroom it felt like home. I was always comfortable in her classroom by the way it was decorated and the way she made me feel. She always had something nice to say and never put any of the students in the class down! She loves her students like her own. The next year she moved to second grade and I got her as a teacher again. I was so thankful to have such a wonderful first and second grade teacher and her mannerisms throughout those two years is what sparked my interest in being that teacher, that inspires her students and makes them feel comfortable in the classroom. The purpose of education to me is so that we are all knowledgeable in what we are doing and saying. If everyone went around and talked about something without knowing true facts or history we would be in trouble! The reason we learn about history is because it repeats itself. We learn it so that we could stop the repeating factors before they happen! The role of the teacher is to be a role model, someone to look up to. Young children always refer to what their teacher says no matter if its Mom, Dad, or Grandma. That is because the students spend all day for one hundred and eighty days with their teacher, of course the students are going to look up to that person! Teachers are also the facilitator oflearning. The teacher should set up the classroom to give the students a successful work environment and provide assistance, guidance and supervision over the students for a controlled classroom. The teacher is also the supporter. Students should be able to come to their teacher for any support whether it be in the cafeteria at lunch, on the playground, or at home and the teacher should want to be the number one supporter for her students. The students' role is to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. My Teaching Experience Essay When I first come to Saint Cloud High School, I was uncertain of how I would fit into the world of education as a teacher, in fact, this was my first teaching practice. After completing a few observations, I changed my view and recognized my teaching abilities. I was able to learn many different things that will be helpful to me when I become a certified teacher someday. Although I could face many possible challenges in the classroom, I have many of the strengths it takes to be a good teacher. There were many times during this field training that gave me a broad idea of how the ordinary life of a teacher would go. Similarly, I got a profound sense of how the classroom environment is for most instructors. In general, I believe this was a pleasant experience for me, and I learned a lot in such a brief period. The educational unit I executed has an element of my instruction beliefs that students should connect and relate theme content to real life situations inside and outside the teaching space. Therefore, during my teaching experience, I feel compromise and responsible for meeting my students' needs and that is why I included many visuals aids and plenty of flexible activities. Hence, this unit involved a mixture of student and teacher–centered strategies such as direct instruction, drill and practice of the unit vocabulary, lectures, dialogues, question and answer sessions, discussions with exchanges of opinions and perspectives, discovery learning events and presentations Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. My Most Influential Teacher Throughout my years at Deposit Central School I have had many influential teachers. However, the most influential teacher that I have had is not a school teacher, but a teacher that has taught me the values of life. The definition of a teacher is a person who teaches or instructs. It does not necessarily mean that a teacher is alway part of a school, it means that it is someone who makes a difference and educates you. The most influential teacher that I have encounter is my mom, Stephanie. Teachers play a significant role in shaping and defining a student, and that is what my teacher has done for me. My mom has taught me the values in life and the good. She has showed me that if you have a strong drive, then you will succeed in life. She...show more content... And now, she never felt like getting into the holiday spirit until she meant my mom. My mom told the lady that she is trying to set a good example to her kids so they will not be afraid to be themselves in public. I was pretty young when this happened, but I remember this because my mom absolutely loves the holidays and now she still can without being afraid her kids will tell her to stop. Of course now when we go shopping we all sing to the christmas music. In addition to teaching me character and leadership, she has taught me to help others. It has always been a big part in our family to help others. My mom always asked us if we are willing to help others, and because we have learned that at a young age we always say yes. It always feels good when we help out family members who may not be able to get groceries up their stairs or to rake leaves for them if they can't get outside. Service was a big "subject" that she taught us because it was important to her when she was growing up as well. Another quality that was important to her was teaching us to have goals during school. She never cared what the grade was necessarily, but she cared about the effort that was put into it. I think that made it a lot easier for my sister and I to enjoy school more because we knew if we put in 100% effort then she would be proud of us no matter what. My mom struggled in school because she just never understood some of the subjects, but what she did understand was her drive to beat Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. Teacher Essay: My Worst Teacher During my high school years, there were several teachers that I encountered. However, there was one teacher whom I shall never forget. In fact, he would be very difficult to forget, even if he were only remembered for his size, for he was an enormous man. His name is Anthony Sweeney of "Sugar Butty" my third form math teacher. To this point, I never knew the exact reason for such name but all students referred to him in such manner. He was six feet five inches tall and towered over us like a giant and he weighed over three hundred pounds. I never discovered his exact age, but, he must have been no more than forty, even though his hair had turned grey relatively early on, and there was a smooth shiny bald patch on the crown of his head. But, it is not just for his size that I remembered him. In fact, one of the things with I remembered distinctively was his sudden change in temper. One moment he would be very jovial and pleasant to speak to in class, and the next he would shout violently at some timid student who was merely looking through the window or he would become very mean and impatient with his students. For these reason, he became my absolute worst teacher. Most certainly, a student would be subjected to his ambush of abuse daily. We ...show more content... Sweeney's bark was far worse than his bite in some instances; as many times, he demonstrated his generosity and kindness when he offered to buy breakfast or lunch for the less fortunate. However, his constant anger and aggression was evident daily; and there was no need to make him angrier than he already was. He also treated us as though we were incapable of learning and we were absolutely terrified of him. Hence, the entire year of math class was a nightmare as it was filled with humiliation and anger. So, I have decided in my profession career as teacher not to become like Mr Sweeney but rather provide an environment where my students can become the best at whatever their heart Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. My Motivation For Being A Teacher Essay My motivation for being a teacher comes from somewhere deep within my heart and soul. I love children. I love the look that comes across their faces when they finally grasp a concept after they have been trying to truly understand it. I had a lot of teachers that made an impact on me and I want to have the same impact on as many children as possible. My teachers installed a love of learning in me. There is no better profession than teaching for those who want to learn. One is learning just as much from their students, if not more, than what they teach. Teaching is rewarding and involves making the world a better place. That is my calling. To change the world, one person at a time, by showing love to each and every person I meet. Weather it be one of my students or one of their parents, I want to be Christ's light just like my teachers were for me. I want to be the support system that shows each and every one of my students that they can do anything they put their mind to. Not only can they shoot for the stars, but they can shoot far beyond. After all, I was once just a kid from a small farm town that no one knows about. Now I've been on 4 mission trips, I travel all around, and I moved half way across the country to chase my dreams. I am here because I was impacted by my high school history teacher/ musical director, Mr. Wittig. He pushed me to chase my dreams and to follow my heart and not to let anything get in my way. I want to share what I have with every child I can, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Descriptive Essay About My Teacher My creator. My abettor. My sidekick. My teacher. My defender. My superstar. These are all the things that my sire wholeheartedly is. From keeping me safe to play childish games, he is always there to guide me. Although his overloaded job keeps him at station for an eternity, he quickly maneuvers through the overwhelming pile of work, and somehow still finds time to help me study for a test, help me finish my homework, and play games with me. When a monstrous test is charging at me with all of its might, he uses his brilliant mind to swiftly teach me how to defeat the test with a triumphant score. Then comes the period of activity, the hardest part of his day, the part where he almost always quits and leaves: the workout. With a determination to become physically fit, he bolts up the rigid stairs, charging into his closet to get dressed into his navy baggy sweatpants and his neon yellow t–shirt; then races down to the basement like it's the end of the world. The Xbox sits idle while the fitness game eagerly waits to be played. He fires up the Xbox and starts on his 1–hour journey to absolutely destroy the computer in tennis. Following his crushing victory over the weak computer in tennis, I wandered to the basement in hopes of escaping my dreadful homework, only to be absolutely flabbergasted by the number of experience points he has gained on the game. Then comes the part where my ponderous dad sluggishly lumbers up the stern stairs. Suddenly his stomach rumbles and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. My Experience As A Teacher Essay Fieldwork Summary PaperMiele 1 My Fieldwork Experience Within Classrooms As I graduated into Concordia College I was already positive that education was going to be the major I was going to study and pursue a career in. With the motivation of my aunt, whom is a teacher, I always looked up to her. The only aspect I wasn't sure of was what grade I would want to teach. I have always loved kids, which is way I have always been leaning towards teaching within early–childhood grades. Within this course I was given the opportunity to sit and observe classrooms of grades of my choice. I decided I would sit within a kindergarten class, a third grade class, and a fifth grade class. With this experience I was able to get an idea of what grade I would want to continue a career in as I followed my dream as a teacher. The first class I attended and observed was a kindergarten class taught by Mrs. Brenda Buccheri Miele, in which was my aunt. Not only was I excited to observe what it was like to teach a kindergarten class, but I also was also excited to watch my aunt in action for the first time. As soon as I entered the kindergarten classroom at Concord Road Elementary School, I couldn't help but smile because of all the little projects the students had put together and hung around the room. Being that it was my first time observing a classroom I was a little nervous to meet the kids and spend four hours with them. I didn't know how they would react to me being there, or if they Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. My Experience As A Student Teacher Today's classroom is one of variety and challenge. I have seen first hand, in the classroom I observed this semester, the impact of various children's backgrounds. There were second graders from every walk of life and this diversity impacted how they interacted with each other, and, on some occasions, how the teacher interacted with them. When working with a group of children such as these, the educator must be aware of every aspect of diversity in their classroom. Diversity may come in many forms: academic achievement, race, language, or socioeconomic differences, and it may be difficult to address each of these needs individually. Regardless of these challenges, a successful teacher will have the ability to create an atmosphere which will turn the student's perceived "limitations" into their strongest ability. This what will keep them determined and ready to engage with the curriculum. My experiences as a student teacher showed me that the biggest barrier that I will have to surmount is finding a way to communicate the necessary information to my students so that they will learn and even thrive in my class. This is especially true when working in a low income area where students are worried about problems that are much bigger than school: where their next meal is coming from or how much money they can earn to help their family when they go to work that night. Such larger concerns will dwarf what happens in school, making homework seem irrelevant and/or impossible. With Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. Reflection Of My Teaching Experience Teaching is not just a job that I perform because I expect a reward at the end of each month; it is my passion and I feel extremely satisfied with every successful lesson. I like to help the society, and teaching gives me a great opportunity to do so. I am passionate about educating my students, so I work with them and motivate them to lead them to find inspiration in learning. I use different strategies to engage them and share with them the knowledge. As a teacher, I believe that I play a crucial role in the success of every learning process. To guarantee that learning will take place, I make sure to create a learning environment that is relevant to the students' background. Throughout my teaching experience, I learned how to love my students,...show more content... The observation's reflection has already influenced the way I plan and teach. Reflecting on my work helped me improve my teaching strategies and gain the ability to schedule plans that respond to the students' needs. In my opinion, observation is one of the most successful strategies that are used in the practicum course to support teachers. I believe that AUD has formed an enthusiastic teaching and learning community. I learned a tremendous amount of information and experiences since my enrollment in the ME program. I learned to be flexible, remain open to continuous learning, and improve my career. I am also learned about the importance of time and about the importance of education in our life. I give the credit of all of that to the reflection strategy. During my learning experience, I had the opportunity to re–skill myself and learn new strategies to support my mission as a teacher. Recently, the Practicum course has helped me live an authentic experience by transferring my learning and understanding into reality. I share knowledge, experience, and communication, which increase my awareness in a way to understand the change and implement new ways of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. My English Teacher As a teacher one must find their inspirations. Personally, my inspiration came from a previous teacher that I once had. I grew up always loving my English classes. It was simple to me. I understood where a comma went, how use a metaphor correctly, and enjoyed writing papers. English became my safe haven, but it wasn't until I had my English teacher in high school that I realized that I wanted to teach it. My English teacher was truly one of a kind. She went above and beyond the expectations that the school set out for her to accomplish. She genuinely cared about her students and made sure that each and every student knew that. I want to be that kind of teacher, the kind that shows their students compassion while also helping them succeed...show more content... In the classroom I plan to use diversity to my advantage. For example, in English it will be hard to ignore diversity in literature. When you are reading a text and trying to comprehend the material you almost have to understand the culture, religion, and sometimes ethnicity to get all the information that the author wants to relay. Also, in the classroom as a teacher, I need to understand my students culture, religions, and ethnicity, and from there adapt my teaching methods to fit those specific students needs. As a teacher I need to chose materials that will be bale to relate to my students. If I am teaching at a school in downtown Memphis I probably chose to use a text that relates to poverty or Martin Luther King Jr. The reason I would use one of those topics is because the students will be able to relate to the topic. The students will have some knowledge of these topics therefore they may be more interested in the topic because they understand it better then something about the royal family. Being a teacher, you have to be able to use your students diversities and use it in the classroom without offending any of the students. When teaching about poverty to poverty stricken students I will have to keep in mind my students feelings. I wouldn't go into the classroom and start teaching about how poverty is bad and you need to do something with your life. Instead I might find a text that covers a poverty stricken person that turns Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 20. My Most Memorable Teachers Essay My Most Memorable Teachers For some reason or another certain students are drawn to particular teachers while other students are more fond of others. In my life I have studied under three memorable teachers. Teachers with which I was able to connect, to laugh, to share my misgivings. While I may have been close with each of these teachers, it is very clear, in retrospect, that each was very unique, and represented an entirely different class of teacher. The teacher that stands out most in my head is my eleventh grade English teacher. She had a liberal arts background, and enjoyed the classic American writers; Hemingway, Steinbeck, what have you. She was in the class of teachers who was more impressed by actions and honesty...show more content... Her class of teachers take their jobs very seriously, and do not tolerate students who skip or disrupt their classes. These teachers are fun, because once you get them off on some irrelevant tangent, they will keep themselves going on it for entire class segments, trying to get out years of thought and consideration in just a short period of time. This is how I got to know my psychology teacher, because I was the one who kept her talking, so that the class could avoid taking the quiz that none of us had studied for. Teachers like her have the innate gift to educate and entertain, with their comprehensive lessons and subtle quirks. Finally, I come to my high school horticulture teacher, whom I studied under for so many years that by the time I was a senior, we talked to each other on a first name basis. He belonged to a small class of teachers who are personally important to every young adult. This class of teacher is the buddy, the friend. The teacher with whom you can talk about anything, be it the trouble you have been having with your girlfriend, the high–potency marijuana that you smoked over the weekend, or just the dirty jokes you heard the day before. These are the teachers with whom you simply share interests, and thus, get along really well. Having a teacher like this is almost like having a counselor, someone older and wiser than yourself Get more content on HelpWriting.net
