into the world with both feet. Because academic success is measured not only by what is learned,

I came to know about Cambridge College during my visit to the United States in 2016; It was
through my cousins and friends. They had explained me about the environment of the university, but
I had not expected this much diversity of the students in the class.

For this paper I chose to interview Gio Rodriguez. He is different from me because he is of Latino
decent, was born in Mexico, and is a first generation college student. I also chose Gio because I

The days leading up to the start of my years as a college student were horrible for me. I was
anxious and terrified about starting at Florida Southwestern State College. It was a monumental
change for me; I had no idea what to expect walking into class on the first day, and it didn't help
