4. Jahangirabad Educational Trust (JET) was established in
2001 to advance the cause of technical and
professional education with a focus on less developed
segments of the society in general and Muslim minority
community in particular. Jahangirabad Media Institute
(JMI) was the first institution initiated by JET offering
broadly-based professional certificate programs in
electronic media, subsequently adding post graduate
programs in business administration and mass
communications. In 2009, JET started Jahangirabad
Educational Trust Group of Institutions (JETGI) as an
integrated institution of higher learning called the
Jahangirabad Institute of Technology (JIT), offering
engineering and management programs approved by
All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

8. CIVIL ENGINEERING (CE)
Civil Engineering is known to be the mother of all engineering disciplines.
CE is a professional engineering discipline dealing with the design and
construction of public and private sectors like road, dams, bridges etc.
Thus, the scope is very wide. Civil Engineering actually plays the role of
nation building. The construction boom in India and abroad provides
plenty of opportunities for Civil Engineers. So MEA is trying to mould the
students as world class Engineers.

9. COMPUTER SCIENCE
ENGINEERING (CSE)
The curriculum in B.Tech. Computer Engineering lays emphasis on
design and development of both hardware and software, in addition to
software packages. Miniaturization in computer technology, audio-video
and image processing, storage and retrieval of data from databases,
compiler construction, Operating systems design, computer graphics,
computer architecture, microprocessors based design are also the
important components of the curriculum.

ENGINEERING (ME)
Mechanical Engineering is the largest of the engineering disciplines and a
large number of mechanical engineers go into manufacturing of
computer and electronic products, machinery and transportation
equipment. The department cares for student support, mentoring,
tutoring, study skills workshops and career development.

Electronics and Communications Engineering are two of the fastest
growing technology areas. Electronics and Communications
Engineering focuses on the conceptualization, design and
development of electronic, computer and communication products,

The Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering, delivers to our

14. The name Jahangirabad originates from the Mughal Emperor Jahangir.The founder, however, was
Qidwatuddin who came from Arabia the rule of Shahabuddin Gori.The main Jahangirabad state lay in
Barabangi and Lucknow. During the rule of Raja Tasdduq Rasul Khan (Granted title in 1983) the fort and the
mosque were built in Jahangirabad village, Barabanki, rebuilt later his successor and elder son Sir Maharaja
Ejaz Rasule in the early 1900s. Further additions to the estate came with the services of Sir Walter Bruley
Griffin, and a world renowned architect and also the planner of the city of Canberra, in Australia.
