2. HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
• Students branch established in 1995
• Under the initiative of Dr. B.R.Prabhu, our
then vice principal and senior member of IEEE
India council.
• The branch has been active in various
activities of IEEE Bombay Section.

3. OUR VISION AND MISSION
• To make budding engineers a part of this
esteemed fraternity
• To enhance the technical knowledge and
sharpen the engineering skills of the student
members
• To foster technological innovation and
excellence for the benefit of humanity.

5. AISC-2010
• IEEE-CRCE was honored with the responsibility
of organizing AISC 2010.
• It was attended by student IEEE members from all over
India
• Held from September 24th to 26th, 2010
.

7. TECHJUNKIES
• Techjunkies is a club started
2 years back for the second
year students.
• With a view to help the
students with their
semester 4 project.
• Under the club various
workshops were conducted.

8. SOLDER OF FORTUNE
• Solder of fortune was organised for the first
year students.
• Students were taught the art of soldering.

9. HAM RADIO WORKSHOP
• The workshop was conducted on September 3, 2011.
• The workshop consisted of a brief presentation followed by
demonstration of two way communication using ham radio.
• The workshop was conducted by Dr. M.G. Bhatia, Mr. Ketan Mehta
and Mr. Jayesh Banatwala , who are all licensed Hams.

10. EMBEDDED SYSTEMS SEMINAR
– IEEE Bombay section has
decided to organize a series of
lectures across various colleges
In Mumbai
– IEEE- CRCE was honored with the
responsibility of organizing the inaugural lecture.
The inaugural lecture was delivered by
Mr. Abhay Phansikar on Embedded systems.
It was held on August 20, 2011.

11. CRESCENDO 2011
• Crescendo is CRCE’s annual tech fest in which IEEE
organizes various events.
• Last year it was held on October 15th and 16th, 2010.
• IEEE organized events like Robotrek, Robosoccer,
Reverse Engineering and Time Bomb

12. INDUSTRIAL VISIT
• Last year there was an Industrial visit to Randthambore, Jaipur,
Jaisalmer and Jodhpur.
• Companies such as Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Limited,
Bajrang wire industry, Uttam (Bharat) Electricals (P) Limited and
Rajasthan West Power Plant were visited by the students and it was
a great learning experience.

13. TECHNOMANIA-2012
• Technomania is a 2 day, national
level event organized every year in
the month of March.
• Students from various degree
and diploma colleges across
India participate.
• The first day there is a project
demonstration and next day
paper presentation and technical
quiz.
• Along with this, we also had
conducted a district level Technical
Debate, which was a huge success.

• About IEEE Women in Engineering
IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) is the largest
international professional organization dedicated to
promoting women engineers and scientists.
• Mission of IEEE WIE
The mission of IEEE WIE is to inspire, engage,
encourage, and empower IEEE women worldwide.
• Vision of IEEE WIE
IEEE WIE envisions a vibrant community of IEEE women
and men innovating the world of tomorrow

16. EVENTS ORGANISED BY WIE
1) A PEAK INTO EMBEDDED SYSTEMS.
It was a seminar held on embedded systems by Mrs.
Sapna Prabhu
2) Circuit Syndrome
It was conducted for the first year students to get
them acquainted with the various tricks for solving
networks
3) Horizons Unplugged
It was conducted during Crescendo
4) Aero modelling
It was a workshop conducted by space apple.

17. ACHIEVEMENTS
• Prof B. R. Prabhu, our ex-Vice Principal has been elected to
INDIA COUNCIL Committee 2009, IEEE India as Vice Chair -
Student Activities.
• Mrs. Swapnali Mahadik , Branch Mentor IEEE CRCE ,
bagged the Best Branch Counselor Award in 2009. She is
currently in the IEEE Bombay Section executive committee,
holding the post of WIE Chair. Previously, she held the post
of IEEE Bombay Section Gold Chair.
• IEEE-CRCE Students Branch were the Second Runners-up at
the Asia Pacific Region 10 Student Branch Website contest,
2009 and IEEE International Students branch website
competition, 2009.
