2. In this is image I would like to imitate the
idea of a relaxed and comfortable tone
which would be mirrored in my magazine.
As well as the multi coloured lighting and
old fashioned props, including that of the
chair featured, give an essence of
uniqueness to the image and would again
be recognised in my magazine. The simple
clothing also puts more emphasis’ on the
models face, which is directly addressing
the audience, and making them feel
connected with her, the magazine and the
topic discussed.
3. The top two images are
my take on the bottom
image, taken from that
of the video ‘How Deep
is your Love’ by Calvin
Harris. I liked the
vibrant colours, and
weirdness of the image,
and also how both of
the images intertwined
to create a eye-catching
and effective photo. I
copied this idea by
using my model and
have her follow the
similar body language
of that shown in the
video. I would later go
on to edit these images
using Adobe Photoshop
to create a similar
outcome.
4. I used this image, due to how the
colours of red and blue over the
lights, bring out the youthful and
happy tone of the entire photo, which
corresponds to the facial expression
of my model. The shouting expression
she is making, will give a relaxed and
some what rebellious tone to the
magazine and also differ it from any
other magazine targeted towards
other much older age groups. As well
as this, her facial expression mirrors
genres including that of rock, indie
and alternative, giving an insight to
my magazine as a whole.
5. This image was taken and in order to
present the movement and fast pace of
the music industry which would be
discussed throughout my magazine.
Furthermore the professional look of the
photo, shows the sophistication of what I
want my magazine to consist of and also
makes the overall look, look much more
interesting and different as the images are
not that of which we usually see.
6. This full body length shot, emphasis’
again the relaxed and fun tone of the
magazine, as of how the model is not
posed in any specific way, and has been
caught in mid movement by the camera.
The simplicity of the clothing was
mirrored from modelling photos from
such websites like tumblr and twitter,
which used basic black and white
coloured clothing, so that the model may
be highlighted much more.
7. These images are much
more posed and
formatted with the
model looking directly at
the camera, under the
red and blue coloured
lighting, whilst having
her head lightly tilted
upwards in both shots
and both having her
arms positioned in a
particular form to get a
professional and elegant
tone across. These are
my most favourite all the
images, as I think they
address the tone which I
would like to reflect
throughout my own
magazine in general.
8. The images to the left are
much more relaxed, with
them being taken whilst he
model was not poised or
positioned but acting natural
between posed shots. The
messy, casual attire again has
been copied from tumblr
modelling photos with it also
crediting the casual and
relaxed mood of my
magazine as previously
explained. This is also shown
in the models happy facial
expressions. Also the white
background, gives a much
more brighter and vibrant
approach to the magazine
and the featured images,
opposite to that of the
coloured darker images.
9. This image is taken on location and
not in the studio setting. This is
different to all the other featured
images and creates a differentiation
of this images from the other,
making it stand out against them
all. As the model is getting the most
attention in this shot, as of how the
colours of her clothing a much
more prominent compared to the
faded ones around her, we are able
to understand her importance in
the images and possibly the
matching article.
