This document describes a fine motor activity center for early childhood education. It lists various art, building, and manipulative materials that will be included in the center. These materials are meant to help children develop fine motor skills like hand-eye coordination, strength, dexterity and control as described in early childhood development milestones. 14. Teacher’s Role in
Facilitating Learning
As I observe the children in the Fine Motor Activities
Center, I can ask them questions and make
suggestions to get them thinking about what they are
doing and what they can do.

15. Diversity
It is possible that I may have a child in my class who has a
disability, in which case I would accommodate the child by
providing materials that he or she has the ability to learn to
use and with a set-up that is comfortable.
I will set that child up for success!
