How this learning center should be
accommodating for infants, toddlers, children with
special needs, and cultural differences?
• Maintain at least three sets of blocks with ten in each set. No more
than five.
• Include transportation toys, people and animals.
• Include different types of blocks (soft, light-weight, various sizes
shapes and colors)
How this learning center should be
accommodating for infants, toddlers, children with
special needs, and cultural differences?
• Allow children to have access to blocks. Keep them within the reach
of the children.
• Ensure the play area is clean and clear and that there is enough
space.
• Keep blocks organized on open shelves and with labels. Do this to
make it easier for the children to play with and clean up.

do?
• Reading the ECERS-R and following the
guidelines will make it easier to make sure
the children have the exposure they need for
growth and development.
• Focusing on the higher end and standing
clear of the minimum requirements is a way
to make sure the children are treated fairly.
• Strive for excellence
Skills
• Blocks give the children the ability to use
their imagination.
• Blocks give children the ability to be
independent.
• Make the block easily accessible
• Allow children to play with blocks
individually and in groups.
Teacher
• As a teacher I will follow the guidelines and
ensure the needs from the children are met
and the highest level possible. By staying
current with the guidelines and keeping up
with them the children will be able to grow
and develop as they need to. As a teacher it
is my responsibility to make sure the children
have to make sure they have everything they
need.
