Editor's Notes

  • #5 His father, Uranus, cursed him as he lay dying that his children would rise up against him (Cronos) and kill him just as he killed his father (Uranus).
  • #8 Poseidon once pursued the beautiful and unwilling Medusa into Athena’s temple to seduce her. When Athena looked down and saw the two in her temple she cursed Medusa so that she became hideous, had snakes for hair, and that anyone that looked upon her would be instantly turned into stone. Medusa then became evil and was later killed by the hero Perseus.
  • #13 Stole Apollo’s 50 sacred cows and was sentenced to Tartarus at 24 hours old, he gave Apollo a lyre and flute to get out of prison.
