A MHNP is nurse practitioner that practices in the mental health area of nursing.
Mental Health nursing focuses on promoting psychological well-being, emotional health and
physical well-being of clients (REF).
A MHNP are advanced practice registered nurses who are educated and trained to provide
health promotion and maintenance through the diagnosis and treatment of acute illness and
chronic condition in the area of mental health
