1. Executive Manager - Systems and Operations
The National Bank of Dominica Ltd. is a leading indigenous bank in the Eastern Caribbean Currency
Union. We are seeking an Executive Manager Systems & Operations with exceptional leadership skills
who can effectively and efficiently manage the Information Systems and Operations departments of the
NBD Group.
As the Executive Manager Systems & Operations, reporting to the Managing Director, the individual will
actively contribute to the strategic leadership of the Bank by working with the Executive Management
Team to formulate, evaluate and recommend changes and adjustments to the Group’s overall Strategic
Business Plan and to ensure the improved efficiency of the Group’s overall operations, recommending
changes where necessary to enhance profitability and productivity.
Specific Accountabilities include but are not limited to:
Ensures the preparation of the Strategic Technology and Operational Plan for the NBD Group and the
annual Business Plan for the Systems & Operations Department.

in order to achieve performance and profitability objectives within the guidelines and policies of
the Bank.
Ensures that IT and Operational systems such as the clearings and records management and
processes work efficiently and effectively.
Formulates, evaluates and implements policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of the
Information System and Operational Support services to the Group.
Ensures that appropriate IT back-up systems are in place and functioning 100% of the time to
allow for efficient and effective business continuity.
Ensures appropriate security, firewalls and controls are developed and implemented to safeguard
the integrity and reliability of the Bank’s systems and data.
Reviews and evaluates workflows and operational systems, processes and procedures to
improve efficiency and effectiveness, recommends and documents appropriate updates and
changes and ensures the required amendments to the NBD’s policy and procedural manuals.
Provides overall leadership for the proper implementation of all new and approved systems
related to IT and operations.
Ensures that appropriate risk management strategies are in place and maintained.
Collaborates with departments to determine Information System requirements and, provides
technical support and makes recommendations on the most appropriate type of software and
hardware specifications to meet and satisfy the Group’s needs.
Effectively and efficiently organises and manages the department’s team including the conducting
staff performance appraisals and coordinates the workflow.

Corporate Profile:
We are seeking an individual who has the ability to work within a fast-paced environment and is able to
effectively manage varied functions and contribute significantly to achieving the organisation’s goals and
objectives. The candidate should possess a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in management
and computer science. Project management experience and Novell Certified Network Engineer (CNE or
ECNE) and MCSC certification with at least 5 years experience with LAN technologies, including multiple
network operating systems (NT, LAN Server), topologies (Token Ring, Ethernet) and protocols (TCP/IP,
IPX/SPX, Netbios/Netbeui), and Wide Area Networking (WAN) would be assets. Additionally, the
candidate should have comprehensive knowledge of banking with a minimum of 7 years experience at a
senior management level.
